I had the 'panic on the scale' moment myself. When I started I weighed in at 331 (thank goodness we don't have a washer with which I can compare weights).
I tried calorie counting, low fat, crazy exercising and for me what has finally ended up working is low carb.
I don't say this to say that you should go low carb (although the research I've done says it's not a bad idea for those of us extra fluffy folks) but to remind you that dieting is not a one size fits all proposition.
So dig in your heels and find a plan that works for you and then work that plan!!
