Default Does being dehydrated make you tired?

I am exhausted all the time this week and I'm trying to figure out if it is because I have gotten to way to low on water or if it is because I allowed myself sugary treats on a couple of occasions this week. Can it be the dehydration? I am trying to bring myself up to speed on water again after several sweaty days and nights camping and hiking, but I'm so tired, I'd rather just nap.......

Being dehydrated can most definitely bring you down energy wise, but so can indulging in sweets. With the sweets you'll get a quick sugary high then it wears off real quick and you'll feel real tired.
Just keep pushing the water and gets lots of protein for energy for your camping/hiking trip. Have fun!

I agree, cut the sweets and drink more water.

I also agree. Sugar gives you that quick burst of energy but you'll regret it later with being sleepy and exhausted.

I'm all for you drinking a glass of water and having a nap. You could probably use one.

thanks all, I started with water and I drank so much today I think my stomach may rebel and my teeth are floating, hopefully that helps, as for the sweets not completely there yet, but I did limit it to 1 low fat fudge bar so that's better, I also took a nap so hopefully I perk up tomorrow

being dehydrated totally knocks me out, plus gives me a migraine. As I've gotten older (almost 40 now), I really have to pay attention.

When I was dragging myself through law school and I would yawn in class I took that as a cue to have a drink from my water bottle.
