Default Off the bandwagon

Well, I was doing great for a while, I had lost the weight I put on over the past year (40 lbs) and I've gained a majority of it back. I could blame the holidays, but I think I just lost some of my will for it. I started working out with my Mom again and I cut out a lot from my past regular eating habits. Sauces were hard. So were most carbs. (I'm still kind of carb happy.)

I do have a new scale that is frighteningly accurate. Sobering, more than anything.

I know I'm doing this for me. Sometimes, I just find that I don't have the will to do it anymore. I love me, exactly how I am. I want a healthier life. I want to have to buy new clothes next month because my jeans are too big.

How do you keep yourself motivated?

where is it that you find yourself getting derailed? are you denying yourself everything or are you allowing for moderation?

i have to keep motivated because im an athlete, even at over 300 lbs. i skate 6+ hours a week, and if i want to get any faster or stronger i have to lose weight. i dont have to way 120 lbs, but i have to be able to keep up. it looks like we are pretty close in size. what do you have to work for? dont worry about the weight loss, per se, just worry about getting yourself healthy. the weight loss will come

I'm not denying too much, to be honest. I've been thinking of it as more like I'm getting to eat more veggies and I'll have more options as far as going out goes. I used to run a lot and I've been trying to get back into the habit. It's probably that I have my standards too high. I can barely run for 5 minutes at a straight sprint before getting out of breath.
