Default Need motivation to get started

I am 35 years young and weigh more than my washing machine - how awful is that! Last time I made the scale make that 'help me' crunching noise under my feet was over a month ago and I know it has only gotten higher since the holidays. Then I weighed a light and fluffy 340!

My grandmother died over a year ago, 4 months after having my first child, and I basically became a 'little debbie couch potato'.

I don't shop, nothing ever fits and forget being flattering to my many rolls. I don't go out much, just groceries and the occasional lunch with a friend. Hubby is supportive but he doesn't struggle with any weight issues so he doesn't understand.

I need someone to hold me accountable. Motivate me to get off my fat butt and make some progress. Maybe a text buddy or something - we can send daily updates/motivating words to each other...have u walked today?......have you eaten healthy today?.......let me know when you exercise today so I can send motivation vibes ur way.........ya know...anything to let us know we are not going through this alone...... I have unlimited texts, LOL.

basically, i just need someone to do this with me. i have a best friend who is bigger than me, but thinks she is healthy and sees no reason to better herself..this is my support system...a fat chic with an attitude and doesn't want me to succeed......Help

i never thought about weighing more than appliances. i was just knocked over tonight by my wii fit telling me that i exceed the weight limit, which i had just checked and it said 330. i'm with you, i have got to get up and moving and do something about this! i'm in a downhill slide to 30, hate shopping, and really dread going anywhere that i might run into someone i know because i have gained so much weight this year (probably 30lbs this year at least). i need to find motivation and somebody to keep me in check! this is our year and we can do this!

I think the worst was realizing that I couldnt find a lawn chair that would hold me for summers on the deck. I never thought about weighing more than an appliance.

Welcome to the boards! Its great here. I will sometimes walk in to the kitchen wanting to snack and isntead I will sit down at the computer and read posts. It really helps. Good luck.

Yeah, I have a Wii fit too and dread it telling to that I am too fat to play. I don't need to feel any worse than I already do, LOL! And I really don't want to see my fat and squabby little mini-me rolling around like a weeble wooble on the TV!! But they say you can put a towel under the balance board and it will throw off the scale and you will weigh less and the machine will stop giving you an attitude.

I want to get on mine so bad, I need a swift kick in the pants!!

WE CAN DO THIS!!

And if you ever need an accountability buddy, I am here!!

I had to order my lawn chair online, couldn't trust the ones from the store to mainstain me in an upright position and not lay me flat out in the dirt! I got the Maxxdaddy chair - holds up to 800lbs....MY CHAIR OF CHOICE!!

"fat and squabby little mini-me rolling around like a weeble wooble on the TV" funniest thing i have read all day, never heard it put quite that way, but you sum it up pretty nicely!

I just bought a Wii last week and I'd love to get Wii Fit and balance board...I hate that it has a weight limit. Hopefully by next summer....

I have never thought about weight more than an appliance but that is a real show stopper there. I also have a Wii fit and know what you are talking about. I lost my grandmother a few years back and went into a downward spiral myself. I didn't only gain weight but had to goto a counselor to get in check. I am still a newbie as well here. But I would love to do the accountability thing with you. I know that we can totally do this!~ Hop you have a great day!!!

Hi,

Cartoon images flood my brain. The thought of a little fat me on one side of the balance scales and a fridge or washer on the other. It's real Luney Tunes stuff.

Being a country girl, I've taken the idea of dairy cows to the extreme. Fat cow or beautiful heifer - no sagging bits!!!

I like, "Can we fix it, yes we can." I wonder who said that, Bob the Builder or Someone living in a very nice house!!!

I would love to have a text buddy. I just joined 3FC's today and started my journey last week.

Can I look you up on Facebook?
