Cool 40s Something Chick, Needs A Buddy***

This year is almost ending in a few months and am struggling on keeping my weight loss off. I am not dieting, just doing my best on making healthy food choices and stay active. Everytime I loose about 20 Lbs, something clicks in my mind and craving for cakes and candies...I have a binge issues and even I staboage my own efforts.

Summer is here and since summer started a month ago, been sweating like crazy, checking the scale and thought it boost my efforts..It did, but did not when I get in my binge mindset..weight creeps up plus more in one shot.

I was hoping that I can find a few online buddies to tackle this journey together. In the past had online buddies that I was successful..but life calling and lost them .

Am home daily, am a stay at home caregiver to one of my sister ..I have no offline friends to do this with..am single, no kids. I offer support and encouragements to others...and Maybe once again, with a online buddy system that can work.

If interested PM me... Thank you!

LILIANN ~ did you find some onlines buddies to help you yet? Let me know ... I'd be glad to try and help encourage you along the way. We can help each other; that's what a buddy is for ... right? RIGHT!

I love Richard Simmons too; he has the best attitude; and I think that I may even have one of his dvd's or videos -- will have to check that out. I have read his book about his life and it was good. I have Jorge Cruise's book "Eight Minutes in the Morning" which is also based on the exchange program; and he includes the meal cards in the book, which I had photocopied. This is the handiest method of calorie-counting I know of.

Jorge's cards start at 2000 cals and go down based on your current weight. If someone weighs more, then they just add another serving of this or that. I love his book and the encouraging tips he gives as well. He includes 8 minutes of exercise each morning upon waking; which I do. I do all the "hand-weight" exercises, and any of the others that I can do.

Anyhow, let me know how you are doing ... Rosebud

GOOD FOR YOU, LILIANN ~ that's a great start; I am following my plan, but skipped my WI this week becuz of TOM. Will do it a bit later, as I know that I always hold water at this time. Sure know it's TOM time; felt really hungry today, but still am sticking to my calorie allotment anyways. Kinda amazing really that I got my TOM two months in a row; usually I skip a month or two ... interesting that this is happening. Maybe eating better is changing some other things as well.

DH and I were just talking about me using my videos and dvds too; I have to get a new tv to use them though. Maybe I'll get one for my birthday or something like that. He had one in the bedroom, but it died so I gave him mine so he could watch his movies; so I guess I get a new one now ...

Glad things are going well for you too!

Hi y'all,
I would love to join in this group. I have only been doing WW for 6-7 weeks and sometimes it feels like 6-7 days and sometime I think I have been doing it for 6-7 years! I too am single. I have a 3 year old daughter and work full time so sometimes my biggest challenge is "planning." I also have little support. I don't like telling everyone what I am doing as it seems people unintentionally sabotage me (especially my mother). I love the online support though. I love reading the various threads. It is very encouraging. I too love Richard Simmons. I pulled out an old video 2 weeks ago and did it. My daughter just laughed and laughed. She thought it was a fun video with all the "dancing."
I weigh in Sundays. I hope you had a good weigh in day today!
