I have a simple rule, I drink when I'm thirsty but don't force water down. I read a study where people who drank lots of water, way more than they needed, are having issues with weak bladder muscles.

I honestly don't worry about it, unless I get overheated, or when I'm working out. Then I make sure to get fluids. Staying hydrated IS important, but the recent research shows that for hydration in most situations, we do get plenty of fluid from all our beverages and our food!

If you like drinking water, or feel it helps keep you full then by all means drink! Just try not to overdo it. But don't feel you have to chug it down if you don't like it or want to.

I was always taught drink half your weight in ounces. So, if you weigh 300 lbs, try to drink 150 ounces. It's hard, but it helps to drink more than 64 oz. for elasticity and clear skin.

Heard somewhere it was an extra 8oz for every lb you wanted to lose. So I figure if I fill the bathtub up in the morning and have it gone by the end of the day I should be good. Of course, I'll have to have it gone by the end of the day because I'll have to sleep in the bathtub because I'll need to be in the bathroom all night!

I like to drink water luckily, so it's not that hard for me to drink it. But like Heather said, you get liquids from other stuff that you drink too (coffee, tea, fruit, etc.). I think as long as you are making the effort to get more water in, and try to aim for the 64oz that Sidrah mentioned, you should be fine.

Hhahahahha fill a bathtub all right!

Can you imagine if you want to lose 150 pounds drinking 1200 ounces of water a day? 150 cups is a lot!!!!!!

I try to drink a gallon everyday I don't always finish it but I get close. I noticed that's pretty much the only time I lose is when I at least get half a gallon worth.
