Default 300+ Weekly Thread #1370

!

We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support, inspiration, and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.

We want to invite everyone (roosters as well as chicks!) to join us in our journey. We share laughter and tears, heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations. We also share what works for us and what doesn't.

We know the thread can move very quickly, and that people often make "personal" remarks and keep a number of conversations going. Please feel free to contribute even if you can't make personal comments all the time.

Finally, we also have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, Photos, Exercise, Info for Getting Started and more. Many of these threads are stickied at the top of the page. Please feel free to check them all out.

We have found this thread to be more than just a support group... we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us

Cyn a COMMA????? Or do you mean a coma? lol Looks like we all need more coffee!!lol I feel fed up again, dunno if it's hormones or stuff at home; Dr I saw thinks youngest son is now Autistic as well as ADHD!!!! Feel like drinking & eating chocolate but I'm not. I exercised even though I REALLY had to force myself, even did some ball work (rolling on tummy & doing press-ups at same time, tres hard) feel quite virtuous now.
I hope everyone had a great 4th July, I suppose us English should be burning American effigies or something? lol Just joking. Did everyone stay OP or go a bit crazy? It was my 11th anniversary & I ate(& drank, lol!!) carbs, I think an odd 'special day' doesn't hurt, as long as we don't gorge on EVERYTHING.
HUGS

Tuesday Greetings...

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and is back into the weight loss routine.

I am fighting a nasty and painful staff infection. A hospital stay may be in my near future, so if I am absent for a bit Know that I'll be thinking of each one of you.

Blessings, Lindy

Lindy I hope you recover VERY soon. It does seem unfair that you are eating right & getting moving & then this comes along! I'm angry for you! Let me/us know how you're doing & I hope you don't have to go into hospital.xxxxxxx

happy tuesday..

LOL Sharon..yes a coma..I was like what is she talking about..then realized i spelled it wrong.

Lindy:speedy recovery!! I had MRSA 2 times last year and it was horrible!

Yesterday our youngest turned 16 and we went shooting in the desert. It was friggin hot!! This was the first time I went shooting with them. My hubby and youngest go a few times a month. Hubby was so nice to "show" me how to hold the gun and shoot. I did manage to hit the targets..and the dirt lol. I think hubby had a great time laughing at me lol. My son was taking pics and there is this one where he is talking to me and you can tell I am so confused lol

Back to work today..TOM is on the horizon.

Just checking in....

It is 100 Degrees and humid here in Boston today!!!!!! This is insane!

Had a great long weekend...hanging poolside at my brother's and swimming...YES..ME in a bathing suit and hanging out where people could see! It was awesome. We had a few cookouts and I stayed on plan...and as usual all my low carb items were scoffed up quick! Thank goodness I grabbed some things when they were first put out. LOL! Good thing I can have ribs (naked) and lobster and steamers. It was all wonderful. No clue still on my weight, but even in this heat and humidity my rings are loose...almost lost my toe ring in the pool! LOL!

Sharon...our nephew is ADHD and also has autism...a high functioning type...Aspergers. From what I know they often go together. No reason to dive off the wagon over it....he will be OK....Hang in there!!

GREETINGS FROM THE HOSPITAL.......

14 hours in the ER and finally in my own room. Thats one of teh good things about being riddled with staff infection, they put you in a private room. I had dear husband sneak the laptop in. Surgery tomorrow. Here' another good thing - I am going to lose weight cause they are feeding me really awful tasting diet food an d I am not eating. I;ll probably be out of the loop.
I will check in when I can.
LOL Lindy

Oh no Lindy!!! A Staph infection? Our own sweet Cyn had something similar and worked very hard to get rid of it. What's going on? I'm glad you have the laptop.

Get better soon, PLEASE!

Hugs,
Ratkity

Enjoy your vacation Heather!!!!

Today I am off of work. Tom came right on time. I know it is not healthy..but I miss the days when he would be gone for 6 months lol.

I have not heard from the GI dr about my gastric emptying test so I am going to call them. My feeling is there was nothing abnormal so I was not called back as a priority. I could be wrong but that is my guess.

We are suppose to finally get some rain this weekend..I don't know about that. We have been steady around 112 and I HATE it!!

Today I am going to try and get the rest of my supplies for a book I am making my friend that turns 50 in August. I gotta get going on it.

Hope everyone is doing as well as they can be.
