Arrow New & needing a WL Buddy!

Hello

I recently was sent to the dermatologist for possible skin cancer and since then I have been having obsessive thoughts that I'm going to die. I have an amazing 3yr old little girl who I do not want to leave behind. I also have hypothyroidism, PCOS, and severe anxiety. Either back is hurting or my knees. I'm ready to shed this horrible shell and be happy and live life. I want to be here for my daughter. I am currently 360lbs. I'd like to lose around 200lbs for a goal weight of 157. I am ready to start my journey but have tried going at this alone and failed many times before. I need support, I need a friend who is going through the same struggles and understands. I need someone to hold me accountable when I am down. If anyone is interested in starting a weightloss challenge together, please let me know!

Thanks

I just started my WL journey TODAY. I would be happy to be your WL buddy! I weigh 344 and would like to get to 170, so we have about the same amount we want to lose. I have 3 beautiful girls, ages 12, 8 and 5. I have to do something about my weight or I will not be here for them in a few years. Together, we can do this!!!

What is your plan? I'm going to cut out most carbs and use portion control. And slowly start exercising! My first mini-goal is to lose 10lbs by my fiances birthday which is July 7th! I'd also love to lose 30 by my 25th birthday in late August!

I started using the Richard Simmons food mover. I have had success with it before and I like that it tells me how much I can eat. I have to be true to the portion size, but then I just close a window. I am setting my mini goals at 10% increments, so my first will be to lose about 35 pounds by September 1st. That is about 3 lbs a week. I just did the Biggest Loser Cardio Max video for the first time today and liked it. It has 3 levels, so you start out doing level 1 and then as you get stronger, you can add level 2 and then 3. I am going to look into other biggest loser videos too and need to do some weight training as well. I am excited about having a "buddy" to start this journey with. Our plans may be a little different, but our end goal is the same: to lose weight and get healthy!!!

Mind adding a third buddy to the group?

I am around 360 - I think - and started back up about a week ago! In the past I have had success with simple portion control, calorie counting, and exercise. As of right now, that is my current plan. My biggest struggle is finding motivation to work out after a long day at work.

Hi ladies,
I just wanted to say welcome to 3fc, and invite you over to check out the "june weight loss" thread under chicks up for a challenge. A great group of ladies in different stages. We state an individual monthly weightloss goal (anything from lose 5 pounds to I am gonna log my food for 30 days) Then we check in, with our success and failures. Good luck with your weightloss journey, you can make this happen.

WinterStarzz - Of course, the more the merrier! I see you're from Michigan!! Where at? I just moved up here from Texas a little over a year ago. I live about 5 minutes from the beach here in Grand Haven!

I weighed this morning and was down 5lbs already. I'm guessing I had a lot of water weight? Aunt Flo also showed up today so this will be an interesting week. I've been good about limiting carbs. Had lettuce wrap tacos instead of tortillas. I've been drinking more water and tea, rather than diet soda. I'd be beyond thrilled to get down to 348 by July 7th! It's 7lbs away and -12lbs from my starting weight.

Hope you ladies are having a good week. Remember your goals and how amazing it will feel to meet them. No matter how big or small. We WILL do this!!!

I'd like that! When we get under 300lbs we should set up a date to get together and do something fun as a reward

I started a WL Blog! (but since I only have 4 posts, I can't link it lol.)

If anyone in the 300+ Club has one, let me know so I can follow you

Hi! I'm new here too. Can I join your buddy group?

I'm at 335 currently and I'm planning on doing mini-goals at 10% increments as well. I can't wait til I get my own ticker

My plan is just to get moving more (ie. walks around the building during breaks, after dinner walks) and become more conscious about what I'm eating. I've used FitDay in the past and it's really helpful. I'd definitely suggest checking it out. I'm kinda a nerd and love all the graphs

300..I'm coming for you!

Hi all!!! I am sort of new here been here but been away. I really need the help to get rid of this weight. I am trying to get pregnant and I feel that it is causing a problem in doing that. Not sure what my plan is I just know I need to work on this.

Hi there OhioU. It looks like we are starting out from about the same spot here. There is a Biggest Loser Challenge starting on Monday in the 30 Somethings group that'd I'm using to jump start things. You should check it out. Nothing like friendly competition to keep motivated.

I'm new here, and starting today, too. Can I join in? I really need some accountability and people who can relate to my struggles.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds a month. This month, I'm going to work on making healthier food choices, watching my portions, and exercising every day. I've got a blog going, too, that I'm hoping will keep me going.

It would sure be nice to have some friends in this!
