Thanks again for the prayers. I did have a good visit with my regular Dr. She was disgusted by the way that the Heart Dr. spoke to me and treated me. She said she will set me up with a 2nd opinion and that as long as I listen to my body and take things slowly I should be okay.
I will start cardio rehab on Thursday and they will tell me how much I can exercise. I have to say I am looking forward to that as I'm not used to sitting around so much. I love vampire and warewolf movies and luckily they are in abundance this month. lol.
Blessings to you all and thanks again for the prayers and thoughts.
Annie, glad that yr normal doc is supportive and hope that cardiac rehab goes ok, u may be suprised at how much they let u do, I went along to a couple as a trainee nurse and they built people up to quite a workout!! So fingers crossed you will build up to a good level of fitness again. I do hope so. Must be so hard when u have gotten a new lease of life and now another challenge...do feel for u. Life is hard sometimes and unfair too. Hugs xx
Just to let you know, one guy at work had an MI during his normal 6 mile run after work hours (about 1 yr ago). Like you, he is young and in good health (lost a bunch of weight 6 yrs previous). He made it back to work after suffering MI symptoms, one of our dudes was an army medic... that guy gave him an aspirin, paramedics came, went to ER, long story short - work dude is ok. He did exactly has cardiac rehab told him, followed orders, etc. Today, he is back on the road, running his normal 6 miles. Moral of the story.... you can get back to regular exercise after something like this. Life doesn't end! The body is an amazing thing and rebounds very well when taken care of, which you have been doing!! I am convinced you are still with us for a reason - had you not taken the difficult journy these past years, we wouldn't have your sweet smile today.
Sorry for the rambling, but you are still my inspiration, Annie!
I did something today that I haven't done in almost 20 years. I went to mass early, and got down on a kneeler. There was no fire/rescue involvement thankfully. I survived it, as did the kneeler. I guess I felt like I would go whole hog in praying for you. Himself sure looked at me funny. He was probably afraid he was going to have to pick me up.
Annie,
I am so late seeing this, but I am here and you are in my prayers. Just remember God is in control and you are His and He has your back. I will keep you in prayer constantly.
Love You Ags
