Hello ladies :]

I hope everyone is well. I weighed in Monday and didn't lose weight but that's alright because I know I've been good with food and stuff. It's just the time of the month, so yeah :/ My water weight has actually increased, not my body fat, so I must be retaining water due to TOM. Hopefully I will see a loss next week, though. Doubt it because my stomach is quite bloated at the moment!

HippieMama, wow!! Ten pounds in a week, that's awesome!! Well done and keep it up
Cyn, big hugs for you. I know the feeling! Parents can be very influentical with their teenage daughter, especially when they're pregnant. Don't distress, though. Your son's girlfriend did say that she wants him to be involved in the baby's life, so I'm sure you will be involved too. You are the baby's grandmother, after all

hbieber2006, aw poor you! I hope you will feel much better soon. Hugs

Must dash off now to do my homework but I haven't forgotten the others, hi to you all and I hope you're all okay
HUGS!!
xx

Hello ladies! Sorry for the MIA-ness the past couple of days. I'm battling a nasty case of the flu. My eating is still on, but took two days of exercise off. Planning on doing a workout later this evening, though, because I just feel lazy for not doing it!

I am so excited I found this thread. Hello to everyone! Some of you might know me from the Biggest Loser Challenge currently running. I'm on the red team for 3fc. Woohoo! Anyways, a little about me. I'm 25 and I live and teach in South Korea currently. I've been overweight since about sophomore year of high school. I ballooned to my highest weight in December of this past year weighing in at 380. I'm now currently down to 344. I'm finally taking the time this year to take care of myself and become the person I know I can be. I have had family telling me for years now that I needed to watch what I was eating, I needed to exercise, etc. etc. etc. It's not like I didn't hear them, I just chose not to listen. But now, it's me. I'm listening to myself and doing this for no one other than myself. I look forward to getting to know everyone through the threads and look forward to achieving my goals in the coming months and years.

Heather-- First, I'm sorry you're having a hard week. I hate feeling sick and getting injured. It's very frustrating!

Okay, now I am going to give you a little kick in the butt. I'm not trying to be mean Ready? Here goes.

Having a cold, and getting hurt and spilling the last of the soda is not reason to go off plan!! Seriously!! These are all little blips along the way. You'll be able to exercise soon enough, after all. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get back on plan! That will make you feel better!!

Okay, I hope that didn't hurt your feelings!

Shan - WELCOME to the forum!! I hope you find it to be as motivating, and just a good tool in your efforts as I do. What kind of an eating plan are you going to be following? There are lots of challenges, etc., all over the board, so feel free to jump in wherever you feel like!

Heather hb - I agree with Heather. We're going to have lots of challenges along this journey, but you can't let these things hinder your weight loss/lifestyle efforts. Just think positively, that's what I have to do, even when I just don't FEEL like it. lol.

Kayleystar- I have been calorie counting and I am officially in week 3 right now. I weigh in on Sundays here (Saturday for people in the states). I also exercise right now 3 times a week. I have been using the WATP 2 mile video, but I am going to be starting Richard Simmons videos in 2 weeks. They are in the mail!

Well, i am officially getting back on my diet track today but exercise will have to wait another day cause my leg is still too sore but i am going to do some arm exercises and leg raises with my good leg sitting in a chair so at least i get some form of exercise and im suppose to do laundry today but i dont think i will be able to walk down the stairs yet i might have to have my husband put the clothes in the washer and dryer and bring them up for me to fold.

I have some bad news though but its not gonna hamper my lifestyle change or my plans of losing weight but i got on the scale this morning and it says i have gained 4 lbs!!! OMG how is this possible granted my eating hasnt been good but i dont think i have overeaten by that many calories though i have been drinking alot of orange juice which is helping me feel better but geeshhh i didnt expect to gain 4 lbs from being sick this sucks but thats ok as of today i am back on track and im not gonna have any more orange juice im gonna get back to drinking my water.

well i will check back later girls
talk to you soon
Heather

ps i am definately skipping weigh in this week i am gonna try for a big weight loss next week to get back to where i was hopefully

morning all..

Still in the depressed mode about my son and his gf. She did text me yesterday to say that she would go with me next weekend to get fabric. Part of me wants to "talk" to her when I pick her up. I know she does not have a good relationship with her mom..I dunno.

It really sucks right now!!

This weekend my plans are to get as much unpacking done as I can! Since my surgery is on the 12th..and who knows how long it will take to recover..I want most stuff done.

Once I have my gallbladder out...I will focus on loosing weight! We live in such a great area now..with a gorgeous park right across the street! There is no excuse for me anymore lol

Well, after not exercising the past couple of days, I got my butt back into it. I'm still feeling quite sick, but not sick to my stomach any longer, so that's a bonus. Even though I wasn't able to do my full on workouts, I was doing daily stretching, and yoga poses, to keep my heart rate up, even if only for 10 mins at a time. Getting sick is NOT going to hinder this process this time!

So I got in half hour of the 30 Day Shred, and I'm going to do some of the Goddess Bellydancing workout very soon. I peeked on the scale this morning, and hoping that number sticks for my weigh in on Saturday. Oh, it was a good number, ladies!!

Well, I'm going to get off of here, do the Goddess Workout, and then heading to my boyfriend's place for the evening.

Have a great rest or your Thursday!

Shan - Well, it looks as if you've done phenomenally well thus far, so just keep it up!

Heather hb - It's most likely water retention, especially if you've been eating things such as soup and whatnot, since you're sick. That tends to have a lot of sodium in it. You can't keep beating yourself up over a gain. It'll be gone soon enough. It's all in the process. Trust me, I hate seeing a gain, but that just motivates me more to keep on track, and really kick it into high gear. Honestly, I wouldn't skip your weigh in just because you may not like the results. Take them for what they are, and do better next week. That's all you really can do. But that's your decision.

Cyn - So sorry to hear about this additional stress in your life right now. I hope that she stops being irrational, and kind of grows up. She definitely needs to with a baby on the way. Hopefully you'll still get to see your grandbaby, even if they aren't still together. *hugs* & more *hugs* to you!

kayleystar- thank you for the pep talk i am feeling much better and you are right i am going to do my weigh-in tomorrow and record it and like you said if it is a gain then it is a gain and i plan on working hard this week to have a good weigh loss next week ( i have to record my weigh loss/gain for the biggest loser this week anyway i almost forgot i signed up for that) but like you said i will weigh in tomorrow and take it for what it is and try harder to have a loss next week..my leg is still really sore i may have to put off starting back up exercising until saturday but im gonna try to do a walking workout tomorrow and just do what i can do. Thanks alot for your advice and support i really appreciate it! This is the first time i have actually stuck with a diet and exercise program for this long cause usually i give up about 6 weeks into a new lifestyle regimen but not this time i have lost 33.5 lbs and im not gonna give up now..i mean to some people that may not sound like alot and i have ALOT more weight to lose but too me that sounds like alot and im proud of that accomplishment and of all the accomplishements to come. Well, have fun at your boyfriends..sorry to ramble im just really happy to be back on track today!

thank you everyone here for your advice and support
Heather

Rat - isn't it amazing what comes out in performance reviews. Apparently he is feeling a bit guilty about creating the scenario and needs to blame someone else. So tell me more about your surgery - is it scheduled, etc. Didn't jillybean have the DS?

Catherine - so how's the joy of car ownership? Are you out and about daily? Have you driven lately in your lovely winters?

Kayley - you are rockin' it - so fun to watch you.

Things are going well here - big family wedding last weekend - great time had by all. My scale is ever so slowly moving down - my body really seems to like this weight - I've decided I need to mix it up a bit both food and exercise wise. Not sure yet what the exercise changes will be as my knee is ready for hyalgn(sp) injections again.

Annie - where are you girlfriend?

Hugs to all,
Carol

Hiya Peeps!

The woman who actually said the gossip is going to talk to my boss and tell him it was her who said it (she's in another dept and not afraid of this guy). She won't reveal her source. She is mad that I was pegged as the one who said it and did tell the person who tattled that it wasn't a secret. I feel vindicated, but feel like the boss owes me an apology. We'll see how it goes today.

I have seen the nutritionist on the DS surgery, I have gotten the consult from the surgeon and both say I'm a good candidate for the surgery. The nutritionist and doc and I geeked out with science stuff. That part was fun. Next step is upper GI on the week of Oct 14th. I'll get a date after that (I think) unless the surgeon wants to meet again. Then I make an appt with the anestheologist (sp) and do what he wants (usually chest xray, blood work and ekg). Yes, Jillybean got a DS and is doing FABBO! The nutritionist wanted me to start taking specific vitamins prior to surgery (A, D and iron). She said the 800 iu of D I was currently taking (Because of something I read that would help with tiredness) wasn't even close to a theraputic dose! She's a great nutritionist with lots of experience. I was very impressed by her and her knowledge. I'm hoping that with the extra vitamins, that maybe some back pain will decrease.

My big sister's domestic violence thing isn't over. Her crazy ex blocked the driveway so the packers couldn't move the storage pods full of her stuff out of the driveway. The lawyers told him to stop or he'll be charged in contempt as of 5:40pm last night. Never a dull moment.

GGG, I'm so glad the scale is moving for you in the right direction!!

Hugs to all,
Ratkity
