300+ Eerie October Exercise Thread!!
WELCOME!!!! to the October exercise thread! We're making exercise a habit, giving ourselves some accountability, and getting healthier in the process! In this thread, we track the number of MINUTES we exercise for the month -- whether it's walking or swimming or sweaty housework! Most of us set goals for ourselves (I personally will not exercise much without a goal). If you are a goal-setter, early in the month set your own goal! If you're just getting started, feel free to start with a smaller number of minutes (I did!), maybe just a few hundred. It seems easier for many of us to build on the habit rather than meet a very high goal right away. However, you can also just jump right in without a goal, and you can join us anytime in the month! In 2007 the 300+ club exercised 205,352 minutes. Let’s break that record! To keep track, just add your minutes to the existing group’s minutes. If you’re new, look at what other people are doing – it’s pretty easy to figure out! To help everyone keep things straight, please note the OLD minutes and the number of NEW minutes you are adding, such as Group total ~ 500 + 50 = 550 minutes We've made a great start and I'd love to see us hit 15K minutes for October!!! I thought a lot about moving my goal for the month lower. I know I'm going to be under a lot of stress. But instead, I'm going to see how well I do using exercise to help cope with stress. I might not make my Sept goal of 1200 min, but I'm going to keep the same goal for October

I'm going to aim for 2000 minutes this month.

I am new, (hello everyone) and this will be one of my first goals, so I will set mine at 600 min,

I'm at 2,400 mins and counting for September. I'm going to up my goal from 2,000 mins to 2,200 mins for October, and see if I can make it! I've had a lot of activity, due to the weather being nice still, but October in Michigan can get pretty nasty, so we'll see! :)

Hey all! Been gone for a while, but ready to tackle it again.
I should be able to 1000 minutes in October. So, if I counted right the group goal is up to 7,000 now. |

Carol -- I really hope so!! I've been hoping we do a lot while the weather's good, because Nov and Dec are usually slow -- both the weather and the holidays seem to be factors.

Today's Exercise: -30 mins "30 Day Shred" -30 mins "Goddess Workout - Bellydance" Personal Total: 60/2,200 mins. Group Total: 60 mins. |
Today's excerise:
40 minutes of hip hop abs Group total 40 + 60 = 100 |
I walked at work today! 20 min
Group total ~ 100 + 20 = 120 min |
Group - 120 + 60 = 180
60 minutes Water Aerobics Personal - 60/2000 |
Morning, all.
Pretty good walk with the pooch yesterday evening. (Dropped my cel phone and had to walk another 15 minutes to find it. heheh) My Oct Stats = 34/1000 GROUP = 180 + 34 = 214 |
25 minutes ab sculpt
Group - 214 + 25 = 239 |
