Default Shocked!

Hi, I am new on here. I am on here b/c I am at an all-time low. I stepped on the scale for the 1st time in about 2 1/2 months and a horrible thing happened. The scale went to 300! I was shocked! I never thought I would be there! I am so discouraged on one hand, and also so determined on the other. So, I hope that today is the start of my new self, a more healthy self that watches what she eats and excercises. To the new me! Hopefully!

Hey! Welcome welcome! I know that shocked feeling...I myself have been there a few times. The shock goes away and you start working on how to better you and change your life. Rome wasn't built in a day, as they say!

Welcome and please feel free to participate in the 60 Day Challenge and the Weekly Chat threads. *HUGS*

Use that shock as motivation. When I hit 300 is when I was shocked into taking care of it once and for all. It's a long road, but it's very worth it. Do you have a plan?

Welcome!!! I remember that shocked feeling all to well. You have come to the right place for support. You will find great inspiration here. It is a battle worth fighting and we are your allies. I check in here often. I probably don't post as often as I should but, I love reading others successes and how they are doing it. I agree, the shock finally wears off and we realize we can do beat this thing!!! I wish you all the best.

Hi! I know the feeling as well. For me it was being weighed at the Y the other day... I was weighed 3 months ago at a doctor's appointment and remember being about 285 and thankful I had stayed under 300. (I haven't weighed myself since having my last child 3 years ago) Well, at the Y I weighed in at 316. Even if the scales were a lil different... that was a shocking and scary thing to see.

This seems like a great place for support and accountability and all that stuff... Welcome!

Welcome! About 3 years ago, I stepped on a scale, and saw 350 pounds. At the time, I was 20 years old, so that was quite terrifying! (I lost, but regained it, and working on getting it off again). The initial shock does wear off, and turn into complete motivation to get this weight off!

You've come to a great place with a bunch of great people to help you in your journey. Feel free to join us on our weekly chat thread, and also the exercise thread & 60 Day Challenge thread, if you feel up to it!

Good luck!
