Heather -- I understand your concern. I am a professor, and for me summers are much more laid back than the school year. I started making changes and losing weight during a summer, and was terrified that all my new habits would disappear when the school year started. I planned for success and it worked! The key IS to plan ahead. I started carving out time on the weekends for food prep so that I didn't have to cook every night, but would have healthy food around. I committed to exercise and have to book it in my schedule. I won't say it's easy, and some terms are easier than others, but if you are committed and seeking to be successful, I think you can do it!

Today’s been quite off my regular schedule. I didn’t get a wink of sleep last night, so I got up at 3am, got dressed, and headed to the gym. Got in a great workout, and then I was exhausted. So I skipped class (I know…bad Kayley) lol. And I came home and slept for about 5 hours (1pm…yikes). I got up, worked out some more and did my homework. Hopefully I’ll be able to get a good night’s sleep TONIGHT.

I usually don’t watch QVC, but I watched The Biggest Loser segment they have on. I can’t WAIT for the Biggest Loser Wii Game. It looks like it can be a really good workout. Definitely going to have to pick it up.

Susannah – I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he’ll be able to bounce back quickly!

Heather hb - You can make it!!! I haven't stepped on mine either since Monday, and I refuse to let myself even peek. It's hard, though!

Bernice - WELCOME BACK!

Hiya girls, well I got on scales today and was pleased, lost the 2 pounds I had gained on our holiday, so now at 34 pounds off and can really feel it. Will post some pics when I get a minute.

Also yesterday found out I have a new nursing job, Community Staff nurse, so will be delivering nursing to people in their own homes doing wound care, end of life care, taking bloods, diabetes etcetc. Have now been nursing for 2 years, I remember writing on this forum when I was training to be a nurse!! I have been here for EVER and this is the lightest I have been in that time

Annie hope u are doing ok with yr panic attacks u've been quiet. x x

Still just trying to baby step my way back into a groove. I've been stuck at this weight for long enough.

Well, tomorrow is weigh-in!!!! I cant wait it has been a tough week but i havent stepped on the scale once since last friday and i say its a tough week because i usually step on it every morning but i made a promise to myself last friday that i was gonna go a whole week without stepping on the scale and i have done it and im gonna try and just step on it once a week from now on cause i have noticed this week that i have been paying more attention to what i am eating since i am not stepping on the scale so here is hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow even though i have my TOM but i feel like i have lost weight so keep your fingers crossed

Hey everyone. I had a good day, got out and walked around and gave my hip a good exercise. It throbs, but you know i figure if I don't work it, it won't get well.

So, I'm going out in a just a few to do more walking and going to go visit a Halloween Express store. Meh, we'll see what they have. :P

I am SOOOOO excited. I bought some wrist weights for walking and when I do my aerobics! YAY! A new challenge, so I'm excited to give that a go. WOO! Maybe I can wear them when I do housework. hehe...

My weight is up to 272...last month during my TOM (which finally is here thank ye GODS) I was 277-278...so I have lost weight. I'll see where I am when I weigh myself after the TOM has left me be. I got some new exercise pants, they look small, but they fit. A little snug, but hey, 2XL, I'm loving that. WOO!

It is funny though. I was at Target and saw this jacket, I tried it on and it was a 4, which I assumed was a 4xl and it totally didn't fit. I wonder if some of their stuff runs small? I don't understand the sizing as the shirts that say 4 are like really big for me. Just wondering if anyone else knows...I> want to get some cheap shirts that fit so I exercise more efficiently.

I hope everyone is well *HUGS*

Well...my morning is not starting off good at all..according to the scale this moring i am up 2 lbs how is that possible i dont understand is it because im still on my period? My diet this week was rock solid i didnt go over calories on not even one day and i have exercised my a** off this week i dont get it! Since i started this journey june 22nd this is the first time i have actually gained!!!! and im really upset about it...the first week i actually go the whole week without weighing and this happens cause normally i weigh everyday maybe i will go back to that!!! Is it because its 5:30 in the morning and my body is still hanging on to water weight from during the night? cause normally i weigh on fridays around 8 or 9 am in the morning but i had to do it early today because im going somewhere really early....

sorry to rant im just really disappointed this morning cause i thought i was gonna have a good week i even feel like i have lost weight grrrrr

im leaving my tracker the same this week im not gonna change it

sorry to rant girls maybe you can give me some insight and make me feel better!

Heather - - The scale is That's the answer!
Or, more seriously... the scale weighs all of you. Most of you is water (something like 2/3s or 3/4s!) So, water retention is the most likely culprit!! So, while it's annoying, I doubt you gained 2 pounds of fat. It might be that you were still retaining extra water at the earlier hour. But it could be lots of things. So, don't fret!
