Hello Everyone, Ok I have something funny to report. Our new house has a very small full bathroom in order to make it appear bigger it has a full length wall mirror on the opposite side of the tub. So basically you step out and well there you are in all your glory infront of this full mirror. Needless to say I am not comfortable with the mirror. I am one of those that only take pictures from the neck up kinda ppl. It will take some time to accept that.

Bernice -- Congratz on the 5 pound loss

Debbi-- how many children do you care for?

Annie -- good vibes coming your way. I have decided to go back to teaching next year and am starting the long task of getting everything straight. I feel your pain. My lovely work from home job seems to be playing out as they are "restructuring". Flowers are an extravagance not a need and with times being tough sales are down basically.

Julee--I feel your pain with the lactose. Since I totally gave up all dairy I feel so much better. I avoid it all together. I read food labels and am very careful. It has been very hard as I love cheese, ice cream, and milk.

Battle-- Your date sounds nice.. It is nice to be able to talk to an intelligent man .

Hugs to everyone I missed...

Tina

Afternoon Ladies!

CatherineM - You will be fine at your appointment. I am glad that you are feeling better.

DebiM - I have similar issues with daycare parents. They tend to forget things when convienent. Like forgetting the day I booked off after many reminders. And show up anyway and want me to fix the problem of no care for the day! Hmm They don't like taking thier kids to gyn appointments. Why should I take their kids with me?

Bernice - Job Well done! *****five gold stars for you! Enjoy your time off this week!

Annie - Wishing you lots of luck with your job apps!

Rainbowsmiles - After hearing about your adventures. I am getting more excited about my new bike delivery! Hopefully next week it will be in.

JuleeCees- Glad to hear you are feeling some what better!

Battle - Yes dinner with an intelligent man is a special and rare opportunity LOL. Thrilled to hear you had an enjoyable time.

Today I had WI for another 1/2 lb loss. For a total of 8.75 lbs to be precise LOL. I was hoping for alittle better than that. But considering I had one extra dairy serving yesterday and some hubby stress. I will take that as a victory since I did not go off and gorge on a whole bag of chips to spit him in our disagreement!

Went to the childrens museum today with my 4yr old DD. It was a school trip and they have the Jane Goodall & chimp display in on special loan. It was very interesting. I learned that chimps dont have tails like other monkeys do.

Now to catch up on dishes, laundry and tidying! Have a great evening!

Tina-That mirror would have to go. I wouldn’t care how many years of bad luck, I’m afraid I would have to send it to its reward.

Carol-Rootcanal is so much fun. I know I need one done, but am waiting as long as possible. If I can put it off two years, then it will be covered by insurance and be free. I can put up with a lot of stuff for that because my last one cost like $1500.

Julia-My husband and I never fight. I knew I was missing out on the makeup sex, and now you’re telling me I could have an excuse for a rocky road binge as well. I’ve just got to find something to disagree with him about.

I survived my first CBT session. I’m still in one piece. He’s actually going to try to induce panic attacks in his office as part of the therapy. This could get interesting. My homework for this week is to visualize using the phone, and picking it up. Next week I will get to start dialing and hanging up. Professional permission to make crank calls. I don’t know why everyone seems to think that my refusing to use the telephone is such a big deal.

Catherine - glad you're back and in one piece. Are you making a list of crank calls you will make - maybe the zoo wanting to speak to Mr. Lyon? JK - brings back adolescent memories though - calling the drug store to inquire if they have Prince Albert in a can - oops better let him out. All kidding aside great to hear your sense of humor is intact. Any word on when you can get back to the pool?

Julia - great job on the loss - another .5 gone forever. When you figure out the calories/serving of husband stress let me know as sometimes I have quite a craving.

Tina - sounds like the new house is starting to feel like home. Perhaps you could modify the mirror to be one of those magic mirrors that change your appearance. It's great to see you posting again.

Heather - our girls were restless last night too - winds were high here and I chalked it up to that. Hope you get some much needed rest tonight.

Bernice - 5 pounds - great job! And look at that 32 pounds gone forever. You are doing fantastic.

Debi - did you have fun playing outside today? I agree with hubby - lifting today may be the best thing - although my trainer only allows strength training every other day - apparently a center policy to let the muscles rest between sessions. Be sure you drink plenty of water after also.

Jeanne - it's always so nice to see your smiling face - howya doing?

Annie - what can I say - you are one awesome chick. Oh - I owe you a story about my latest treasure. Several weeks ago my cousin from Maryland brought my 92 year old uncle to visit my parents - mom doesn't cook - I cooked dinner for them all. I am one of 61 cousins - he is the oldest - I am one of the youngest. I have a large Prince Albert tobacco can, Red Man tobacco lid - very bent up - has always held my dad's marbles (another treasure dad gave me years ago). He asked if the can was our grandpa's - told him the story. He told me of a tobacco tin our grandpa had that he now has - I showed him the 2 things my gpa gave me - we talked about him - my gma died before I was born and my gpa when I was 6 so I didn't know him well. He told me stories of spending summer with them on their "farm". Sorry this is so long. Oh - one other point is his mother was my mom's half-sister even though there was no differentiation on our part - my gpa was her step-father. OK - so last week I get a package from him - inside is the tobacco tin he spoke of - original tobacco stamp on it. Inside a note on top of yellowed newspapers. The note explained that the tin and the 27 arrowheads inside had been given to him by our gpa and he wanted a blood grandchild to have them. I was numb - the newspapers were dated January 29, 1961 - St. Louis Globe Democrat. It wasn't just the fact of the tin - knowing my gpa had touched it. It was the arrowheads he had picked up and given to my cousin. And then realizing their use before gpa picked them up from his fields. I have touched them and "felt" their story so many times.

My favorite niece (also Annie) teaches 2nd grade. In Missouri you learn about Indians in 2nd grade. I'm going to have them shadowboxed and she can use them as a teaching tool for next year.

Susan - I'm good! What amazing pics of your ride. How are you doing? I'm not sure I could bike that close to the traffic - although not many people bicycle here so there aren't alot of protected areas.

Julee - I'm with Annie - I loved your posts explaining Jewish rituals. Hope you are feeling refreshed and ready to be back at it.

Battle - thank you for sharing your date with us. The ability to have great conversation with someone is huge.

I had another procedure done this afternoon on the tooth and left with 4 prescriptions and advice not to travel this week - I'll wait to see how I feel tomorrow because I really need to get back in to my travel schedule this week. I'm a little concerned about my WI tomorrow due to all the prescriptions I've been taking the last 5 days.

On the up side I did get on my treadmill at home yesterday - I really missed my Sunday double water/land workout - how dare my trainer think he needs a day off - LOL.

OK - I am caught up on today's personals. Time to go find something mushy that doesn't need chewing.

Hugs to everyone,
Carol

Carol-I'm planning to go back to the pool the first day that he is out of town. He can't stop me if he isn't here. He has threatened to take my suit with him. If he does, I hope he gets his bags searched.

LOL I can handle snow on the ground with sunshine....but tropical at 41 LOL now that is funny. I grew up in Vegas.....when we got stationed in Colorado years ago....it was my first REAL experience with WINTER LOL I didn’t drive for 6mths out of the year! Now I am better with snow but still prefer looking at it from the front window LOL

LOL I think Im with you on this one....put it in storage till you get to your goal weight LOL that’s what I would do....cuz I think then I will want to look at what I’ve become!! I don’t think I will even care about extra skin and saggy topside LOL

I’m so glad you are going to therapy.....if it is an issue for you then it is a big deal...however that doesn’t give people the right to make an issue about it with you. Really people should be more open minded.....but such is life we live with inperfect people. I think the crank calls sound like fun!!! When I was a teenager we use to call the Dr. Pepper bottling plant up and sing “I’m a Pepper, you’re a Pepper....” LOL and hang up LOL ummm maybe you could work up to something fun like that!?? LOL Hey I give you permission to crank call me anytime!!! (although that would mean a long distance charge on your part LOL) Proud of you for going and trying to work through this, I know how difficult it could be.

I know that would so awesome to have something so old from your gpa! I know I’ve got some dolies from my gma and I cherish them dearly. I would love to see a picture of them once you get them in the shadowbox!!! I’m so sorry you are still having tooth issues hopefully this set of meds work and you will be back to normal soon! GOOD JOB on the treadmill time!!! You can do this Sunday thing I know you can!

Well I just got off the phone with a friend from 24 yrs ago! We talked for 3hours!!! LOL she found me through myspace LOL and called today! Ohhh man what a blast from the past! LOL She was a few years younger than me and dated my Dh’s best friend’s younger brother.....we hung out quite a bit and got really close and then with DH joining the military we lost contact! WOW talk about covering a lot of material in a short time! 24yrs of life WOW! That was fun and she is going to call me tomorrow again!

Well I didn’t complete my task for today of my file cabinet but I still have a few hours before I go to bed so I will start sorting the rest of it......then tomorrow I can organize the files inside.....laundry is almost done....and then tomorrow the attic yippie!!!! LOL

Hope everyone had a great day today! It was simply gorgeous today! I have sooooo missed nice weather! I hope the rain stays away this week!

Toodles poodles!

Bernice, congrats on the 5lbs gone!!

Debi, have fun with those little ones and enjoy the sun.

Annie, I hope you find your dream job soon.

Susan, your bike trip looked really beautiful going over that bridge. What a workout!

Julee, hope your tummy troubles are easing up.

Catherine, how are you feeling? Did you get to go outside?

Battle, I hope he calls you again. It sounds like it was a very nice date.

Carol, sorry to hear that the root canal didn't go so well. I hope the doc can fix ya up. Try and get some sleep.

Tina, I think I would have to get rid of that mirror.

Julia, O I used to love to go to the museum with my son. How fun! Congrats on the 1/2 lb gone. Some is better than none.

Last night our water heater started leaking so we had to go buy a new one today. When we got it home, it wouldn't fit thru the space so we had to box it back up, take it back and get another one. Sheesh, if it's not one thing it's another.
On the weight loss front, I'm at a loss. I'm up 9lbs. I know I didn't eat THAT much salami and cheese. So I'm chalking it up to TOM even though it's not here yet but I have all the signs. I'm so frustrated, pissed and just in a bummer mood. Hopefully things will get better, at least that's what I keep telling myself.
Tomorrow is my DH Jim's birthday. His last year in the 40's!!! He wants to go to the casino this weekend to celebrate and go out to dinner too. Another challenge but I think I'll be fine. I've got his mayonnaise cake baking right now. Ugh, I hate having stuff like that in the house, but I know it will happen a few times each year, and just have to prepare for it. It's just part of life.
Hope all are movin' and groovin'
Debbie
p.s. We ended up taking Marilyn to a no kill humane society. They think she will get a new home pretty quick as she is so cute. I miss her so much it hurts.
But I think it's best she gets a home with her being the only dog. We couldn't trust her and Sadie together anymore. Sadie is healing well. We just have to keep an eye on her so she doesn't keep licking her wounds.

Hey ladies! I’m enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon at church. We’ve got wireless set up now here at the church and since DH is the youth pastor his laptop is synced to the wireless. I have to tell you guys that I got an AWESOME deal today at Family Christian! They have some cd’s on sale 3 for $15 and if you got one of them you got a free cd and then I got the Veggie Tales movie Jonah to add to the “when we have children” collection. Anyway, I spent $22 and SAVED $34.96. Way awesome!

I’m staying OP today which makes me happy. We love to eat at this Mexican restaurant that some friends of ours owns and I asked Armando what to order when you’re watching what you eat, so today I followed his instruction and ate pretty well but probably was a little starchy, so I’m going to stay away from the carbs this evening.

To Everyone – Thanks so much for the congrats on the WL, it is VERY exciting time right now! Thank you for pulling me through those tough times.

Debi – yeah they have contests all the time. That’s always an incentive. Isn’t it nice to have sunshine and no more rain? LOL

Carol – where in MO are you? I lived in Cape Girardeau for awhile.

What is TDP?????

DMPLS – where does your DD go to school at? I have a friend at UofL and she was sharing with us all of the crazy stuff that has been going on. A lot of crime and it’s getting out of hand. She said that they have called in the Metro police to help out.

What is NSV????

Debbie – I hate to hear that about the dogs. My FIL’s dogs fight all the time. It’s very stressful

Real – Ok, I have found someone who has already opened their pool. My friend from back home, I told her she was crazy, it was all so the backyard wouldn’t look so boring. I laughed!

Julia – how’s your doggie doing?

Ok, so I started this Sunday afternoon and just finished it! WHEW! I have been extra busy! I know I’ve missed some personals but I’ve enjoyed keeping up.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE ON THEIR LOSSES!!!!!!!!

Time for The Bachelor. Lol

That's exactly what I thought Catherine would say!!

Lauren -- NSV is 'non-scale victory' == from everything to fitting in smaller clothes to being able to do things we couldn't do before. It's a great way to track progress!

Julee: Thank you so much for the offer. I would love to hear all about your dishes that you create to symbolize things, like the mortar. So very interesting. Whenever you have holidays let me know what you are making and what it symbolizes. Thanks again. Hugs.

Battle: I'm glad that your date wasn't awful at least.

DMPLS: Thanks for the prayers on my job. I know God listens Good job cleaning. I know you can get it done. It feels so good to accomplish a task that won't have to be repeated weekly. Great job.

Catherine: Hugs to you on the therapy. I will be praying that it helps you tremendously. I love how you are now but I know that you must feel that some work needs to get done. Hang tough.

Carol: Sorry about your tooth. Hugs. Thank you so much for the arrow head and tin story. I adore that your uncle sees in you someone that will cherrish those items as you do. My Uncle has a teddy bear for me that belonged to my Grandpa. It is over 100 years old. He told me he will give it to me but he forgets. I don't want to bug him about it it is just such a wonderful thought that he would give it to me. I have a pocket watch that belonged to my Gpa too. It is kind of odd to be so attached to things that belonged to a man I never met. lol. I just know from all the stories my family tells about my Grandpa that I would have adored him. Hope you feel better soon and don't push it on the weight loss when you are hurting. Give yourself a break.

Tina: The mirror thing would probably not be by favorite thing either. lol. I have a full length mirror hanging behind a door. lol.

Julia: Woo hoo on being down 1/2 pound. Way to go.

Debbie: Sorry you are up. I bet it is TOM for sure. I am betting that is my problem too. I feel all puffy and swollen and I have been working out like crazy so there is no other reason. I'm sure you will shed the water weight soon. Hugs to you on Marilyn too. You did the best thing and I bet someone will come and adopt her soon.

Lauren: Score on all the grea purchases! I'm not too sure about TDP but NSV is Non Scale Victory such as getting into a smaller size, being able to move or exercise where you couldn't do it before, fitting into a chair with arms (that was a big one for me). Hope that helps.

Well, I did only 1 mile today but I feel good about it. I did WATP tape and last time I put it on I couldn't do the whole thing. So I am happy with the progress that I can now do the whole thing. I have not been feeling the best today. I think a bit of nerves for no job and also a bit of sinus stuff. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Blessings all,
Annie

DMPLS- 5 lbs!!!!! AWESOME! Good for you!
Carol- Sorry you are still having problems with the tooth. Try and get some rest when you can. I have been there and know that all the ibuprofen in the world does not help.
Battle- Glad to hear your date went well. Hope he calls again, it is so nice to have someone to carry on a conversation with at dinner.

Busy day at work today. Army son leaves to head back to base tomorrow. I have the day off. I have a mamo appt. in the morning early, Yeah for me! NOT! The whole experience of breasts being smashed. OUCH! then home to get him and take him to the airport. It has been nice having him home. I will need the rest of the day off as I will miss him and wouldn't be worth anything at work anyways. Hubby off this a.m. early so will miss him too! Don't worry I won't have a quiet house, 2 girls at home! NEVER a quiet moment. After younger daughter's dance practice tonight we went to the Y and I walked the treadmill and then we went swimming. It was good! I am tired now as I have been awake since 3 a.m. so I will hit the sack as soon as older daughter gets home from the track meet in a few minutes. She does the shot and discus. She said she got 3rd and 4th out of several teams. So not bad for only the second meet. She will get home soon. Always busy here, I don't know where I find time to sleep. I really need to do some laundry. Maybe tomorrow. I know I could be doing it now instead of typing. But I am seldom on the computer. Older son is doing well since wife left, I just worry about him. I hope everyone has a great week. I will try and pop in when I can. Thanks for listening!!

Wow, ya'll know me so well. I did tell him that I'd just go without my suit. I also threatened to call the airport security and give them a tip about someone smuggling stuff under his shirt (he has a belly). See how he'd like a strip search on his way to Ottawa. I've been told though, that I have to be on my best behaviour if I want to get time off for good behaviour to get to go to church this Sunday. I get ganged up on. He threatens to call my boss the nun. They have powers you know. I don't get to have near as much fun as I'd like to. They don't even let me play with my yo-yo in the choir loft anymore.
