Not sure how many of you have this issue, but I need to find pants that are talls. I am 6'2". There was previously an Avenue where I lived, and they had tall pants. And Lane Bryant does as well, BUT I am not to a size 28 yet. Bleh. Does Fashion Bug have talls? Any other places? Help....

I was just at fashion bug today and I don't think they have any talls. Lane Bryant is the only place I know of (in my area, at least) that has talls.

I believe that Catherine's has talls. They definitely have petites, so they should have talls as well.

Edited to add: I just checked their website (catherines.com) and they definitely have tall pants. It looks like some are on clearance right now, too.

I've bought talls at Catherines in the past. Some department stores will also carry them.

I also think it's a real challenge to be large and tall, I mean I know I'll never be a size 8 - the skeleton of my hips is larger than that! So what size should I really be gunning for?

I'm a size 22/24 now - and I feel pretty good at size 18, but is that still too large??

I've wondered the same thing. My body image is so out of whack that I don't know what's realistic anymore. The dress I wore to my high school graduation was a size 16, and I was mortified that I was so big. Looking back at those pictures nearly 20 years later, I wonder if even a size 16 is something I can ever reach again. About 3 years ago I got down to size 20, and compared to now even that looked great.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see where we look good and feel right regardless of what the number on our tag is.

Iowa - I would say don't worry about trying to get to a specific size.

I have the opposite problem - I am short. However, I buy some amount of stuff online at WomanWithin. The quality isn't superb, but the prices are usually decent. They carry both Tall and Petite sizes.

I'm very surprised at your height you aren't a 28 at your weight. I'm 5'10" and at 328/330 I was about a 24. Have you tried Lane Bryant clothes on? I always thought some of their stuff ran large.

Anyway, You might try mail-order. Romans has talls I believe. Check out the links from this website.

Unfortunately, I really am 6'2" and in a size 30...most of the time. In the bottoms, I can sometimes fit into a size 28. I have two pair of size 28 pants from Lane Bryant, but I also have a lot of 30s that fit snuggly. OK, I don't know, maybe not horribly tight. I like loose I reckon.

Shirts I definitely wear 30...I am broad shoulder and tummy heavy.

Thanks for ideas all.

I order my talls from lanebryantcatalog.com they go up to a size 44 I believe. But it's been a while since I've gotten pants out of the lane bryant store I go on the catalog. Actually they changed it to womanwithin.com. But it's still the same thing, they have a lot of nice stuff on clearance and they have a section on the website just for talls.
