Great idea for a thread! I changed your title to make it a little more obvious -- not everyone knows what an NSV is!
I'll share a recent NSV (non scale victory).
I had a freshman in a course this fall, I had never met her before September. Classes ended just before Thanksgiving, and I didn't see her again until a couple of weeks ago.
She came up to me and seemed stunned "How did you lose so much weight? What's your secret??!"
The funny part is that I haven't lost ANY weight since she last saw me. In fact, I think I've only lost 10 pounds since she first MET me.
But, I have gone down one size (thank you weight training!) and was wearing my new "skinny" jeans and a coat that looks good on me. I think I AM smaller, but also was dressed smaller!
I was really surprised someone who hasn't known me long could see such a difference in two months!
The other night my daughter(18 in March) told me, "Mom, your butt is getting smaller!" Bless her heart, she has a way with words. I will take that victory
Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical! The first time I ever got on it - I only could do 3! I can do 10 x that now!!!
Also, yesterday I tried on a pair of size 18 misses jeans - NOT 18W! And they FIT! I can't remember the last time I wasn't restricted to the plus-size section of the store!
Well its just a little cold here in NY/NJ (-9 if you factor in wind chill) and I didn't just want to wear just dress pants. So I figured hey I'll put on some sweats under my pants and just deal with not being able to breathe until i get to work, thinking they would make everything really tight.
Even with the sweats they are pretty loose, so I think I am actually losing some inches. WOO HOO.
One of my goals is to go from a solid 28T to a 24 by the time I have to go shopping for vacation closes in May/June....look likes it working.
One other thing last night the guy I am dating put me through the ringer and while I did over eat (I was pretty concious about doing it) I only did it for one meal. Also rather than curl up in a ball and watch re-runs of monk I did my planned workout.
I just did all the aerobic portions of the prevention fitness dance it off. Silly me thought because I like to dance it would be a no brainer....
The warm up which felt like more than a warm was the first clue. So I modified the heck out of it, but kept going.
How awesome! I like that video (AND I haven't do all of it yet!). Jennifer Galardi is only borderline annoying and she even makes a few funny comments in this one—"more bounce to the ounce" is one I remember. She's like the popular girl in school with the perfect body who you think is going to be stuck up, but isn't.

Reminds me of my nephew, who tells me I have a big butt. He's not making a judgement, just an observation. I tell him, "Yes, I do. Pretty girls have big butts!" I guess for the young ones (he's six) that's what is at eye-level 24/7!
Hey Luminous, do you do any of the other prevention DVDs? I did all of the dance it off, but it was a struggle I will say that. Maybe after I get all the steps I won't be as worn out. My favorite right now is Chris Freytag. She does one of the walk videos and the drop it in 30. If you like the dance it off the drop it in 30 is pretty cool too.

Great NSVs!
This made me laugh out loud. My best friend's son (who is 7) tells me when I see him that I hae a big butt, and that "PawPaw likes big butts. He'd really like yours!"
It makes me cringe, but, on the other hand, the sheer honesty without malice makes me smile.
LookingforHope I think the biggest victory you can have is consistency.
Well my love life seems to be falling to pieces and rather than have a drink, eat alot of food and stop excercising I have officially refused to let this get in my way. I feel like I've pretty far (yeah I have a long way to go too), but I don't want to let this be a stumbling block.
