Hi everyone. !
Hope everyone had a good weekend, they go by so fast dont they. for me, i worked this weekend so it doesnt even matter, lol
JEN: I will be rooting for you also in the Biggest loser contest. we are on week two now, with a weigh in on wednesday. i hope i have lost, im doing everything right. the first place team will get over 1,000 dollars each(3 people per team) the second place team gets like 550, and the 3rd place team gets about 200 each. the individual that lost the most weight overall will receive an additional 300 dollars. so the money is an incentive! Im sorry your feeling bad, hope this week is better for you:)
CATHERINE: Your roast sounded good! i like my meat well done too, i dont see how anyone can eat meat with blood running out of it, lol. i also hope you have a better week too!
AMMI: a no excersise day sounds great, unfortunately, since i am just seriously recommitting to excersise, i cant allow myself the luxury, lol. maybe soon though. i have the tendency to be lazy if i dont follow a rountine.
JILL: im glad to hear your feeling better. i totally feel you on the grocery thing. we have a store here that is way more expensive than my ususal store. i avoid it unless absolutely necessary!
ANNIE: i am so proud of you and your excersise minutes! that takes a real commitment and dedication. i also hate ANY scale. maybe we can get together and have a scale bashing party:)
TOOFATFORU: how is your leg? i know you mentioned you thought it may be arthritis. i hope you are feeling better!
HEATHER: you are very inspirational to me. thanks for being so motivating to many people!
BRENDA: your new shirts sound nice, i am a total clothes freak! i have so many clothes my closets are bursting! the cool thing is, i have made lots of money on Ebay selling my clothes that are too big:) that gives me an excuse to keep buying:)
LILLION: im sorry your having a rough time at work, i hope it gets better for you soon.
As for me, i am having a good week. i have been 100% on food and excersise program. i am hoping for a good weigh in wednesday. honestly, i would love to win the money, but this contest is something bigger for me. its a chance to prove to myself(and others) that i can do it. if i continue to become more healthy that makes me a "winner" anyway:)
have a wonderful night, and for everyone i missed, hope you are doing well
Peace:)

Annie-That’s exactly what I did with my 3 scales when I didn’t have to use them anymore, but truthfully, I had beaten them up pretty badly already. We put them in the parking lot and ran a van over them. It was seriously sweet. I do understand everything you are going through. Once you get above a certain size, it is almost as if you quit being human. You can’t fit in a seat at a movie or ball game, church pews groan and are so uncomfortable that you leave in pain after an hour, you can’t take care of normal personal hygiene that everyone else has taken for granted since they could walk, and everywhere you go you are treated the same way a green Martian would be. One day both you and I are going to be able to go into a restaurant without worrying if there will be some place to sit down, the waitress won’t roll her eyes if we order something other than salad, and if we choose a dessert, we won’t be stared at by all the other patrons as if we are eating mud. One day we will be able to blend in with everyone else.

Ammi -- I AM a dolt -- can't even keep track of post orders! Oh, and as for those ab exercises... haven't done em yet!!

Annie -- I am seriously proud of you and your exercise!!!! I know what you mean about wanting to increase your exercise by a lot. I think how much you increase it by should depend on a lot of factors:
- how much more TIME do have to devote? There were times when I've realized I didn't have another 500 minutes to devote and some months I have reduced my exercise when I know I'll be busy.
- how much can you PHYSICALLY do? I found it was easier to add more time when I started doing more "organized" events -- yoga classes are 60 minutes, as are sessions with my trainer. Before those, I never did 60 minutes at a time.
- what about the MENTAL game? In months when I felt like I was pushing the edge already, I tried not to add more than 10-15% of minutes the next month.

I can't remember how many you did this month, but I don't know if increasing by more than 100% is feasible for many of us unless we start really low. For me, finding time in my schedule seemed to be an interesting issue. That's part of why I eased up slowly. A year ago I couldn't envision doing all the exercise I do now, but like the frog who dies in a boiling pot of water, I just eased it up little by little.

Anyway, those are my rambling thoughts... I hope they make sense!
