Argghh ... slow down the world I wanna catch up!! rofl

Hi everyone .. wow these posts are leaving me in the dust ... hope you dont mind if I dont try to catch up with everyone for now .. but I will get this sorted out over the next week lol.

HEATHER - Love the idea of either a daily or a weekly thread rather than the numbered ones .. actually a weekly one sounds better. I also think its a good idea to just maintain where you are as well until you want to move on some more .. isnt that part of the learning journey anyway??? When we reach our goal we need to know we can maintain it .. so maybe a midway test on being able to do that is a good thing? I know I have been playing with the same 2-4 pounds since before Xmas lol ..

ZELMA - Im so sorry for your loss hun, but hopefully what my pm said made some sense to you.

EVERYONE WHO HAS HAD A WEIGHT LOSS - Way to Go!!! Its a great thing to see and hear to keep us motivated :) Same for those that are exercising regularly .. definitely a push for me to get moving lol ..

Well this week has been interesting. I finished my job on Saturday .. so that has sort of left me feeling at odds at the moment. I have applied for positions at a few other places now tho so hopefully something will come from that.
My scooter broke down on Tuesday .. very annoying for a new bike .. so the guys came round to pick it up to take it back to the shop .. about half an hour after they picked it up our tenants daughter rang to let us know that there had been some sort of flooding in the rental!! Her mum was on holiday and she just went in to check on things and water the plants etc and the hallway carpet was sodden .. into one of the bedrooms .. starting into the second bedroom .. and down the walls!!! ARGGGHHHHH So I had to ring the insurance company ... gawd .. Im starting to wonder if we really should have bought that place .. its been a rollercoaster ride for months!

Eating wise .. Im not really being OP .. I have gotten back into that bad habit of skipping meals ... the thing is I KNOW that I should have breakfast and lunch .. its just so darn hot that I cant eat rofl ... drinking lots tho .. so I might get some of those meal replacement drinks so that I can have them as well as my water ...

Oh a little NSV ... yesterday afternoon I was thinking about pizza all afternoon lol ... kept thinking I could ring up and have them deliver .. about 3 times I went to pick up the phone then distracted myself with something else until it was dinner time when I rotisseried my chicken breast, had some potato balls and veges, and then I had a fruit juice ice block for dessert :) So there is still the pull of the naughty foods lol .. but I overcame that one ... I will admit tho I have had McDonalds a few times over the last few weeks, but I dont have chips and I limit my calories now that we have all the info on the packaging over here :) Happily I havent gone up tho lol ..

So that is my news .. on the sad side I am waiting to hear the results from the doctors down south regarding my oldest nephew .. they are going to let us know if the results from the tests as to whether this round of transplant and chemo has worked or not ... if the answer is not .. then .. well .. I dont want to think along those lines . going to keep thinking positive :)

Will do my positives now too:
1 - Finally getting some colour on my skin .. (although I did get a little red on the back lol .. )

2 - My dogs just crack me up with their antics

3 - Every morning when I go out the back I get a baaaaaa from my sheep wanting me to come over to say hello .. and when I come home if I have been out they baaaa a welcome home too!

4 - I had insurance for the rental!! rofl

5 - Its a little cooler today but my washing will be able to get dry no problemo!

Huggies everyone ..

Love and Laughter!

Ammi - its harder work than I thought tho with p mkenna cos when u truly eat what you want its hard to listen and truly stop as soon as U feel full. I hope it does work, but I guess after more than a decade of dieting its hard to think that I can actually eat what I want and listen to my body! We'll see, will def let u know what my weight does, and will look out for him on gmtv too next week xx

Sharon, How positively sweet of you to check with your papa about his warafin tests.
I had one Monday and it was 2.1. They want the protime to be between 2-3. I have it checked again this Monday, and if it's still good, I will be able to wait a couple weeks to be checked again. This is the first time in about 2 -3 months that it's been where it should be. And, I'm a bit older than you, so I worry about getting my weight where it should be by the time I'm 50. We WILL accomplish this together. xxoo

Patti tfat4u Way to go on your loss. We don't have scales at our house so I always have to wait for a dr appointment or blood work. I'm sure I'd be on the scale too often if I had a set at home.

Ammi, What a wonderful treat. To get a cuddly nap. I'm so jealous. While I was slaving away at my job, getting yelled at my grouchy customers, you were warm and snuggley snoozin' :rolf:

Kymberly :woohoo: on you loss. Nine pounds is awesome! See, you CAN do it.

Katt, So good to see you back. Sounds like you had a rough day. :(
Soak up the warm delicious sunshine for me too. It's been cloudy here for what feels like
days. I do love your positives. The sheep sound just adorable.

Wyllenn, I personally like a daily thread. But whatever you folks decide is good. The point is to be here, be accountable, supportive and get support.

I'm op today. Hooray! Work has been very, very trying. It's either real busy or real quiet. And when it's busy, it's as if every grouchy person on the planet is calling.
Oh well, I am glad to have a job.

Sorry to those I've missed. I need to go to the neighbor's down the street. There was an issue at the bus stop the last 2 mornings with Miss Abby and a mean little boy. I think two days is plenty to let the principal at school, the bus driver and the kids to work things
out. This is the part of parenting I don't like. It's really hard to tell another parent their kid is a monster and a bully.
Ttfn, my friends.

AmmiUK 01-10-2007 06:52 PM

Katt - so lovely to see you posting, I've been wondering how you are doing. I don't think I got chance to say it before, but I am sorry to hear that you weren't made permanent in your job. I am sure you'll have no trouble getting another job though, especially as I am sure you got an excellent reference.

Sorry to hear about the flooding in the tenants place. Thank goodness it's all covered by insurance.

I've missed reading your positives for the day, it was nice to see them again today.

Em - I think I was worried about what you said, if I really ate what I wanted I would just want to keep on eating it, and maybe I wouldn't even know I was full until I was too full. I think I will stick with WW. It's working for me, and even though I sometimes want to eat, it's really not hunger that's the driving force. I still have a lot of bad habits to break, like eating snacks while being online or watching TV! I really do hope you are pleasently surprised when you have your WI. Maybe you could ring GMTV next week and speak to the man himself about it, or at least tell them that you are trying the diet.

Sandy - I think I definitely had the better day today didn't I! Sorry that work isn't very pleasent at the moment. Will PM you when I am done here about the emails, I need to remind myself how I did it

Hugs,

Ammi :dizzy:

thanks sandy . these holiday pounds have really been bothering me especially with my leg troubles. i dont envy you having to confront those parents good luck to you1

rileydog14 01-10-2007 08:33 PM

well - you all have motivated me. I got busy tonight and used my exercise equipment. I feel so happy. I couldn't resist this morning and I hopped on the scale this morning. I was worried there would be no loss, but more curious to find that there was. I've lost 7.5 lbs - - - yipee!!:carrot:

:cloud9: this is where I am!

Thanks for your motivation everyone!!!!

Patti

futurediva 01-10-2007 10:50 PM

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for the kind words of support and encouragement, they mean so much to me! Congratulations to everyone that had a wt loss, an excersise goal, or who just did something healthy this week!
I am happy to report i have been excersising every night either the Gazelle or a richard simmons video. I have to admit, i am feeling so much more energetic and sleeping better too! I am basically taking it one meal at a time, and trying very hard to make healthy choices.
Sorry no personals, i am so far behind with the threads, but if i havent said it already, Welcome to all the new posters:)
Hope everyone has a good night, has anyone heard from Kayley, Misti, BrandnewMe, and some of the others that havent posted lately? Maybe they have been like me, just to busy with work to do much of anything else!
Thanks again for all your support, i really appreciate it:)

brandnewme 01-11-2007 12:29 AM

Hi ladies (and gentlemen, if you're still around!). Just wanted to say a quick congrats to the losers and those who keep on workin' at it, and my condolences to Zelma and Catherine for their families' losses. My thoughts are with all of you, whether you're having relationship difficulties, family stress, medical stress, or just plain stress ;)

I am making an attempt to post more often because I think I held myself accountable when I posted more often before. Because of my hectic schedule, I may not be able to post more than once a week, but that's more than I have been posting lately so I'll take it!

I am about to start my self-imposed whirlwind schedule. I will be working 12 hour shifts on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and then I will be in class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30am-8:30pm. The only class I'm really anxious about is my Phys Ed class. I haven't taken a PE class in over 10 years. I remember when I did, I was supposed to be able to perform at the same level as the rest of my class, and that just wasn't happening. It won't happen now either. I'm stressing this, because I really don't know anything about the instructor so I don't know what she'll expect. It *is* an individual exercise program so I will likely have to sit down with her and outline what I am starting at, what I am unable to do (due to my ankle), and what I would like to accomplish. I pray that she'll work with me on those things. The good part of it is that now I have to be accountable for what I'm doing on a whole different level - my grades, and my acceptance to the nursing program depend on it. Wow that's a lot of stress too.. I possibly shouldn't have thought about that aspect of it :P I am also going to be starting a water exercise/aerobics class on Mondays & Wednesdays. I think I will love it. So, at the very least, I will be exercising 4 days a week.

I've had a lot of catalysts lately, and I don't know that there's any one thing that really has pushed me to just buckle down and do it, but I am slowly getting off to a good start.

Xena2005 01-11-2007 12:57 AM

Hi there. Just a quick post since I've gotten in late and it's past my bedtime. I will be sorry tomorrow when I try to get up at 5:00 and exercise! :o At least I was out having fun. Our auditors took us to the Dallas Mavericks game tonight (basketball). Was a good game. We won. And the seats were in a suite complete with beer, margaritas, sodas, and lots of food and wonderful dessert cart. I must say I ate more than I should have but at least is the start of a new WW week for me today which means my flex points start over today! I weighed in at lunch time and was down another 1.4 pounds. Also got email addy's from a few gals at the meeting that I have made friends with. Will be nice to have some positive support in my meetings, in addition to the leader who happens to be terrific as well!

The company that plumber works for tried to call me a couple of times at work yesterday to try to straighten things out. I was so busy today I had no time to call them back. That is precisely the reason I was so ticked off at them. This is a busy time for accountants and it was a real hardship to get out of work early yesterday to meet him. And then to not even have the work done properly was just too much! Anyway, I hope to have a chance to call them tomorrow and see what they have to say about the situation. Sure which I had a handy hubby or BF like Sharon and Annie. Maybe someday I'll find my tall, dark, handsome handyman. ;)

Luan - How ironic that your lowest grades was in study habits. Apparently your habits were good enough to land you A's in your other classes! :dizzy:

Nancy - I feel ya on the year end closing thing. At least the SEC deadlines are earlier for us this year. So while the misery may be more intense, at least the duration will be shorter! ;) Hang in there!

Ammi - I was going to tell you that American Idol is starting over here next week. We'll have to put up with a few weeks off all the horrible train wreck auditions before we get to the main event. Oh, how I have missed my horrible, horrible Simon! But his horribleness is exactly why I love him!.
;)

Heather - A weekly thread sounds great to me. We aren't sticking very well to the 30 post threads anyway. It seems like when we are busy it is just to hard to maintain that many thread changes.

OK, gotta go try to write down my points from the basketball outing and then hit the sack. Morning will be here all too soon!

LookingForHope16 01-11-2007 01:19 AM

Hey girls!! Just wanted to check in!!

Not going to be posting alot this week or maybe the next because I've gotta get me a schedule fixed up. I started school back yesterday. That's on Tuesday and Thursdays!

So far the classes are going good. I got Amanda to move my Gazelle thing out into the 'dining room' so that I would be tempted to use it more!! I also went and got my DDR from my mother's house and I want to use the exercise part on it.

I hope that all the Hens and Roosters are doing all well!!

*hugs and love all around!!*

Erika Leigh

ETA: I think that it might be nice for a daily thread. The week one would be huge!! The ones now are huge too!!

AmmiUK 01-11-2007 05:02 AM

Good Morning All,

Hubby isn’t enticing me back to bed this morning for a SLEEP  so I am here catching up bright and early. I have done my exercise for the morning, done one load of laundry, my online banking and had my breakfast. A great start to the day especially as I did an extra 5 minutes on the Gazelle. My feet weren’t hurting too much so I thought I’d carry on until I reached 2.5 miles. Anyway enough of my waffling……

Patti (riley) - wow a 7.5 loss that is really wonderful. I bet you were over the moon when you saw that :bravo: :cp:

Kymberly - that’s great news that you are exercising every day :cheer: Which do you prefer, the Gazelle, or Richard’s work out?

I don’t know where Misti is, Brandnewme posted after you did, and Kayley is just really busy. I think she said to PM her if any of us wanted her email address to keep in touch that way. Another of our chickies missing in action is Kenya. I often wonder what she’s up to.

Brandnewme - lovely to see you posting again and a weekly post from you will be wonderful so that we can keep up with how you are doing.

You certainly have a busy time of it coming up don’t you! All that work, wow those are LONG shifts, the schooling, plus the exercise too, Are you going to have time to sleep??

Xena - :cp: well done on the 1.4 loss. It’s so good to see the numbers continue to go down isn’t it!

That is so cool that your auditors took you all to the basketball game. Did you feel like royalty in that suite? I am sure I would have, I wouldn’t even have cared about the basket ball, I just would have loved all the food and drink

Thanks for letting me know that American Idol is starting up again over there. Hopefully that means they’ll start showing it here before too long. I can’t wait!! Do they show the UKs X Factor over there. It’s the same kind of show, and again Simon is a judge, well it’s his show actually. Did you know that some of the AI people have MySpace pages? Of course I am sure that they are done by somebody for them, but I found one for Clay Aiken, ACE, Daultry, Taylor Hicks, and of course our boy Elliot.

Erika Leigh - glad to hear your classes are going ok, Good for you for getting Amanda to move your Gazelle so that you are more inclined to use it, has it worked :D How is Amanda doing?

It’s time to go emailing now  so I’ll be back later,

Hugs,

Ammi :grouphug:

LookingForHope16 01-11-2007 06:29 AM

^ She has been pretty sick and missed several days of work. That is going to hurt us a little, but we are going to make it. Maybe she will get on it with me. I'm hoping to start using it at least 10-20 minutes a day. Hope that you are well!! Classes are going well!

toofatforu 01-11-2007 08:09 AM

good morning everyone. no more weight loss today guess that is what i get for peaking yesterday!

AmmiUK 01-11-2007 08:41 AM

Erika Leigh - sorry to hear that Amanda hasn't been too good. I am sure you are giving her lots of TLC though :D Yes when she's better you can both use the Gazelle. I love mine so I am glad I don't have to share  I am fine now, still got a little bit of a cough, but it's not stopping me exercise!

Patti - I thought your WI day was Friday, have you moved it til Thursday, or were you just having another sneaky look today? Either way you did lose this week :cp:

Hugs,

Ammi :dizzy:
