Talking New and needing a push!

Hi All. I am 30, and I need to get off my behind! I have 4 kids, ages 8,5,4 and 2. I quit smoking just over 2 years ago, and have gained about 70lbs since then. I am hoping I can find tips and support here to help me on my way. Thanks!

Hi Mum
Welcome, you are going to love it here. I do. I think it's all about caring enough about yourself so you can take care of others. I've only lost 10 lbs but it's like I've won a small lottery already. Good luck and come here often

Robin

Thanks everyone. I hate to say it, but I really have no specific plan to follow. Right now I am trying to adjust portion sizes, and cut out the garbage. I look foward to getting around the site and getting to know you all.

That's okay if you don't have a specific plan to follow. It sounds like your starting somewhere by adjusting your meal portions. Keep us updated on your progress!!

We've had comapny, so my apologies for not being around. I'm doing well with my food intake. I have been using a smaller plate, making sure there is plenty of veg on it. I am out walking a bit with the kids and the dog as well. Once DH is home from Afghanistan, I want to get to the Y for aquafit. I will keep you posted!

You're making a great start Mum! Eating lots of veggies and getting some exercise! I'm sure the kids & dog are loving it too!

When does DH get back? How long has he been there?
