Good Morning All!!
Hope everyone's having a great weekend! We're headed to BJ's and then to my aunt's in central Jersey today...big July bday party. |
Hope everyone is having a great weekend !!! We had a cool front come through here as well -- it has been in the upper 80's -- we took the kids on a nice long walk yesterday -- it was great !
Off to do some back to school shopping today -- its been interesting getting supplies for the 3 of them this year and trying to figure out who needs what :dizzy: Happy Sunday !!!:carrot: |
Hey, I am newbie. & wanted to know if any one knew the cost of the Sonoma diet ( the program online) Or is it just better to buy the book rather then join the membership thing.. I am new to this dieting thing.. I have done diets on my own. I have been successful, but now that I have had a child ( 14months old toddler) It's been kinda hard to get any motivation to start any kinda cutting back food/calorie program... I have tried to workout some- but then my toddler sends me through a loop with waking up in the wee - hours, then i am back to sqaure 1 again. I am a at home mom, who supports her husband with his ( His personal secy) SO being at home, close to a kitchen makes it even hard to kit the habit. Can anyone relate??
|
Hi everyone! I've been out the last couple of days...weekends kill me! LOL It was hotter than Hades last week but we have a cool down now. Much more tolerable. I'm getting in the pool later too! :carrot: I was up this week but that's cause the hag is here...GRRR :tantrum: It was an ugly week with the PMS...I won't even go into all of it. I have posted some pics of me here. One is from last year at an unknown weight. At least 215 since I started WW in Jan at 216.6. The other is from Friday at 193.6.
Karen I did get to see the pics. For some reason when I first looked they weren't there just the dreaded red "x" but anyway...she is so precious!! What a princess! http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...272/Before.jpg http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...fter_6_mos.jpg Make it a great week everyone! |
Hi everyone! It's been soooo hot here this weekend and I'm at work 16 hours today and yesterday, and my work is soooo hot, it's been miserable, I am going to be so glad when my weekend is over. PMS must be in the air or something, af is due super soon for me as well and this last week was awful. I wish I could put myself into early menopause, lol.
Stevi the hair looks great!! And how fun getting all that new stuff, I want an IPod but there's no way I can afford one, maybe after the fall when the kids are back in school and I can work some during the week. Molly, wtg on the loss, the pictures look great. Welcome ad1tene, I had a really hard time losing weight when my kids were babies as well, I had a lot of other stuff going on at the same time, but I did find it was hard because I felt like I was stuck home more often. There are several ladies here with babies though who are doing great! Just hang in there, you can do it!! |
Well Hello!!!
I have missed you alll so! Thanks for all the compilments, Y'all are too kind. Yest was CRAZY!! I was just gonna try and "relax" before the Gig but to no avail. My long lost cousin came all the way down from Apple Valley to attend (1 1/2 hour drive) we hadn't seen each other in 3 years. Longest we had ever gone but she was kinda pissy at me. All is well now though, and it was really great to see her. I ahd bought a new pair of black jeans and the in legs where to small...argg!! That's a given for me, I know better than to not try them on but I was pressed for time and had the baby in the stroller. SOOooo I had to go out AGAIN (but alone;)) and return those and get a different pair. Not black but really dark. (I have to camo my thighs as much as possible!) The decided outfit was a total hit! I'll show you pics in a couple days due to DH using his manual 35mm, we will have to wait for discs to develop. The gig was a hit as well! Killer turn out and overall we did very well. Sound was solid and I felt reallly strong. This whole working out thing really has alot of benefits. The only reall down side was the UNBELIEVABLE HEAT!!!! And the place was air-conditioned! I was sweating like a whore in church! :D My whole body hurts today so I'm just taken it easy. Funny thing....last night, on two separate occassions (before playing and after) I was offered fast food of some sort. I actually watched everyone eat this stuff and thought "Wow...I don't even want it." And I even considered having something to eat as I hadn't eaten. But NOTHING appealed. I found this to be a pivitol moment in my new found life style. Molly~ Great pics!! I can really see your progress!! Ad1tene~ Welcome!!! I too am a SAHM ( stay at home mom) Logan is 5 months and my eldest is 14!! Norissa~ School shopping!?! Already!!! Arggg! Shopping for a teenager is EXPENSIVE! I'm not looking forward to it! Lauren~ Hope you had fun! RR~ Yeah well, most of my weight is in my BUTT. My face is usually the last to go large! But thank you much! K well, I would love to experience one of these cool spells as it is just as hot today as yest. We had thunder and lightning last night!!! No rain though. |
Stevi - Back to school shopping -- Yep -- my kids start back on Aug 16 th :o That will be here before we know it !! :o Glad your gig went well -- can't wait to see pics !!
ad1tene - WELCOME !! Molly -- Love the pictures - You look wonderful !! |
Hello all, :welcome3: Ad1tene! I dont believe that anyone in this group is on the Sonoma diet, although I could be wrong. There are threads that are geared just for that, however we would still love your company.
Molly, Wow girl! *Hey, maybe with this heat, we've sweated off more pounds.* Norrissa, I feel so weird not shopping for school items - for myself! I would hate to for 3 kids. Don't the schools around you put out lists for what each teacher requires. P.S. Walmart has really great prices I was noticing. We've had problems with our toilet upstairs and it wiped out my scale, just noticed last night, so today after church I went and picked up another one. The previous one only measured in 1/2 pounds, the new one does it in .2 increments. (And it cost less) I think I will weigh myself tommorrow morning and see where the damage lies. Lisa |
Good Morning all!!!
Just a question for anyone who has a stepmom----Did U hate her the entire time growing up???? I got my feelings hurt when I went SD's room to put up clothes and she had written in big letters (I guess when she and her dad were leaving on vacation)--"YEAH!!! NO VICKI FOR A WEEK" I am just tired of trying.. Lisa--I am with U on school supplies...I "adopted" a family for 9 years and did all the shopping for them..OMG-it made me nuts looking for that stuff for 3 kids..With a child in Sp Ed--U just sent Kleenex and $20 and the teacher gets the rest...So much easier!!!! Molly--Great pics!! U can see the difference!!! Stevi--I am with U on the butt!! That is where I get it..Before marriage, I was down to a size 1 and still hated the butt!! Now after 4 preg(only 1 went to term) and 5 yrs of marriage the butt is still bigger!!! Oh well.. Hello to everyone!!! Welcome ad1tene--Sorry dont know anything about the Sonoma diet!! Take care all--off to work!!! RR RR |
beginning week 2
Hey guys, I've been putting a few posts on my journal and seems like it is helping. I'm through my first week and lost 5 pounds. I had our county fair all weekend (to work at a booth) and had a small serving of nachos 1 day, but other than that ate good both Saturday and Sunday. So with week 2, will hopefully add more exercise. I also starting to paint the outside of my house a few weeks ago before the 100 degree heat, so now that this week will be cooler, the plan is to finish it. That should be a pretty good workout too! :) Everyone have a great week!
|
Checking In!
Hey guys...hope everyone had a great weekend. As for me, my air conditioner went out----but it was a little cooler this weekend (only 96!). So--we are living in a hotel right now until the A/C gets fixed (they told us Wed...ugh).
Stevi-----------LOVE the hair. Beautiful!!!! ;) Molly - the pictures really tell a difference. Doesn't it feel great when you can actually SEE a difference? Keep going! :carrot: Ad1tene - I'm a newbie, too. Welcome! Spitfire - FIVE pounds in the first week?!? Wow...Good job on the eating at the fair, too. Wish I could be that strong. Just the smell of the fair makes me want to eat. . . RoadRunner - I noticed you're about the have a birthday...8/6? That's close to my son's. Happy [early] birthday, in case I forget. Lisa - regarding the new scale...I think my scale is off, too. Need a new one. What kind is your new one? Hope everyone has a great week. Talk to you later. Fitafter4:) |
Hello everyone!
:wel3fc: :welcome3: to all the newbies. We are glad to have you here. Congrats to the loosers! You guys are doing great work. We took the kids (still feels weird to say that!) to the beach yesterday. It was cloudy and cool, so we practically had the place to ourselves. I didn't think Alex would like the water so I only took one shirt for him. He LOVED it. He couldn't get enough. It was fun watching him, but nerve wracking at the same time. That was my baby out there! RR: Yikes. I can see where you would want to give up. I never had a step parent, so I can't give you any insight. I hope things settle for you. I think you are awesome for all you have taken on with the step kids. Her Royal Highness is demanding my attention. I will try to get on again later. hello to all I missed! |
Working my looks 2 a new look
Hi everyone
This is my first post. I am new to 3fc. My name is Monique. I know it is going to be hard to lose the weight that I have to lose. Lately, I have been having cravings and some not wanting to do anything any more moods. That is why I came here to get some help and make new friends to help me on way. My biggest set back is that I like to eat sweets so much, and I get depressed alot because I feel like I can not do it, that is to lose weight without the support that I need at home. I have no support at home. I have 2 teens and a husband living with me. They always come home with stuff that I do not need and ask me do I want some. If it something that I like, well, you know I have to take a piece just to satify that craving. It is down hill from their. Like I said, it is hard. I like water sometimes, but it does not hit me to drink all the time. Like now, I am sipping on some now because the mood has struck me to drink some water. I drink all that I can when the mood comes. Another way that I am feeling right now is that I am ready to get away from my family. They are really getting on my last nerve. Can I please make some or even one friend here at 3fc to help me on my way. PS Do you ever feel like you need to talk to someone in person sometimes about weight loss, just for support reasons. Some one to give you a hug for all your hard work? http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/bar098...7/160/240/.png |
Hi All,
Whoa! A lot of newbies!! Awesome! :welcome3: to everyone!! I'm having a really busy day today...have barely stopped since I walked in the door. :( Monique, Welcome! You have done an AWESOME job losing 27 lbs. already! :dancer: Keep up the good work. As for the water, I love cold water, but I find that if I don't fill up my bottles when I first get to work in the AM, I never get to the kitchen to refill them. So my water isn't always really cold, but I've adjusted. If you can, keep some bottles in your fridge, or on your desk, if you work. It's much easier when it's right there in front of you! Have you tried having a heart to heart with "the boys"? Could they stand to lose any weight? Either way, maybe you could talk about it over dinner some night, tell them how crappy you feel and ask them if they would be willing to support you in your efforts to be healthy. Do you like to cook? Maybe if you tempted them with yummy new recipes, they'd be willing to try...teenagers have got to be "reachable" through their tummies! Here's a big cyber hug for you...  Karen, I'd be neurotic if Peter were in the ocean, without a harness around him along with life vest, swimmies, and DH clutching him! :lol3: And I grew up there every summer! I do look forward to taking the boys down the shore sometime before it gets cold! Fit, Ugh! Hope they get your AC fixed soon! I would just melt if I didn't have it! Spit, Welcome! Congrats on the loss and the food choices. The weight must literally be melting off you in that heat! RR, Sorry you're still dealing with all the bitterness from SD1 after all this time. :( Maybe someday when she's an adult she'll understand. Lisa, What kind of scale did you end up with? Stevi, Glad to hear the gig went well! Can't wait to see the pics! Good job turning down the crap food!! I love it when little things like that happen and I surprise myself! Lucky you with all the new stuff! :D DH got me an MP3 player for my bday last week and I'm still trying to figure out how to work it! The thing is the size of a lighter and supposedly holds 500 songs! Molly, Wow girl, you look AWESOME!!! Keep up the good work! Ad1tene, Welcome! There's a whole thread devoted to the Sonoma diet right here on 3FC! Hope you can find some motivation/information to help you there. 707, What were you thinking bothering to weigh in when the hag is looming?! Silly girl! OK, I *think* I'm all caught up! Time to get back to work! Have a great day ladies! |
OK, I got a Sunbeam. I thought I was picking up a Weight Watchers, however it was more expensive. I will update my tracker when I have lost some more weight.
|
wow, you guys are a lot to keep up with! :) I love it.
I'm still reading and trying to remember and process stuff, so please forgive me for not commenting on specific things for a bit. I'm a motormouth - give me time and you'll wish I'd lose my fingers for a bit.. :) This weekend was rough. I didn't cheat (except for a willing and happy one friday night that made me SOOOO tired Saturday. I'd planned this cheat way in advance and didn't stray from the plan though - so it was a successful cheat). Anyway, the rest of the weekend was okay foodwise. I ate a lot but nothing bad. I'm dodging the scales so I don't have any idea where my weight is. I'll cheat after my monthly "visit." I DID do an hour of cardio today! I was so proud of myself and excited! I ditched the strength training afterwards but I get it now - do the weights first! :) I will tomorrow. Just had an amazing dinner and am off to spend time with DF (does that mean dear fiance??? I sure hope so!). Tomorrow will be a LONNNNG DAY! Better rest up! Off to do more reading now! |
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself....I'm a 30 something in Northern California in a house where the homeowner put NO ac. this last weekend hasn't been great at all...wish the heat would melt away the pounds!!!!!! This isn't my first time to a msg posting board, but my first time to do a serious post here at 3fc. I spent over a year on atkins and dropped 52 lbs......gained 30 of it back. got tired of missing potatoes, pasta, and breads. I'm not gonna knock it though for anyone who enjoys the plan. It worked for me when I stuck to it. Anyway, I need to get healthy!! I want to have babies someday....still in my early 30 somethings....and I don't want to run the risk of problems for my unborn kids. I need to be healthy for them, for my husband, for my dog, and most of all, for me. I've spent too long being very overweight. I don't want to be a statistic...overweight hispanic female with diabetes (history of it in the family)..........i want to feel better than that, I want to look better than that...and I want to be healthier than that. Exercise is a bear currently....it's too dang hot right now to be in the garage on the treadmill. The garage is like an oven...a fan does NOTHING for me in there. I even bought a dvd player and a tv so I could be on the treadmill and get in some tv watching to help distract the dull treadmill. I do walk at work during my breaks, and I'm trying to get in 120 oz of water a day. It's not too hard right now with the heat. I've recently read Jorge Cruise's book on the 3 hr diet. I really like what he has to say...I do real well til I get home. If I don't eat a good high protein snack in the afternoon, I get the sugarshakes and get home and eat unhealthy things to get them to stop. Hubby is in the USAF...and has come to the realization that he needs to get healthy and lose some lbs as well. It would be nice if he could be a little more supportive....dinners, preparation in lunches/breakfasts...anything would be good. He's great about getting dinner when I don't want to cook....but we can't always get healthy stuff. I'm always in need of good proportioned healthy meals. the frozen ones get old real quickly. If anyone wants to chat, share recipes, or just be supportive, I would be most appreciative. Thanks for letting me ramble :) |
Good Morning!!! Hello to all the new posters!!!
RR |
Hi All!
:woo: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN!!!! :hat: RR, Geez, you sure attracted everyone with the new week's title!! No complaints! Holyteror, :welcome2: Good for you on the loss, you can do it again! I'm with you though, I would miss potatoes and pasta! Maybe you can wet down your hair, face the fan towards the exit from the garage, so it pushes the hot air out? I dunno, just suggesting! Grasshopper, congrats on a successful cheat! Planning is awesome, especially when it all works out! I'm exhausted here today. #2 had me up pretty much every hour all night again. :( Not sure what's up with him. On my second cup of coffee, headed for a third! :coffee: |
A/C is FIXED!!
Good morning, all! Really enjoying reading everyone's posts...it's nice to get to know you, even if it's on-line!!
Finally got our A/C fixed, but we ended up staying at a hotel again last night. The house had not cooled down yet (it was 89 in the house), so we decided it was worth it. My DH loves it really cold, but I nearly froze to death!! Fell off the wagon last night...found myself in the mindset of "I deserve it" and didn't make the best choices. Ugh! Although I DID only have 1/2 of the piece of chocolate cake. So--I guess it could have been worse! I keep finding myself in this state of mind and it's not good. I do very well during the day---healthy breakfast and lunch (and snack), but when I get home, it's a different story! How do I stay on the plan in the evenings? What works for you guys? :listen: I didn't get to work out yesterday either! I need to "re-set" my brain and get back on track!! Hope you all have a wonderful day!! fitafter4 |
Newbie in need of support!
I am new to this and not sure that I am dieting correctly or safely for that matter. I thought what i was doing was low carb but according to some others it may be wrong. I have lost 4lbs and 10 oz in last 6 days I am eating 6 times a day and drinking plenty of water. Lots of salad and chicken turkey tuna. If I am doing something wrong I hope someone can help me get on track. I feel 100 % better now that im over the caffiene and sugar withdrawl. And if anyone knows anything about low carb dieting and sugar alcohol i would appreciate your comments.
I walk 4-5 times a week three miles most days. Sometimes twice a day. I have the support of my husband but he can be insensitive about this. My children are very supportive and like that their mom is getting her energy back. I am trying to get down to 135 . This is the heaviest i have ever been in my life and i am suffering physically because of it. From no energy to heart flutters its very scarey. I look forward to meeting some new people and your profiles are very inspiring. Thanks so much for your posts. |
Hi Pam!! :welcome2: The initial quick loss may just be because you just started, it may be primarily water. For starters, PLEASE try not to weigh yourself everyday!! I know it's hard, but your weight fluctuates soo much day to day, it's more accurate to just pick a day of the week, a time of day, and stick to that.
You're off to a good start having a supportive DH and kids! I know they can be insensitive at times, but hopefully once he starts seeing the changes in you, he'll think before he speaks/does. :) |
Phew!
So i've decided that I will get under 220 if it kills me or someone near by....lol
I'm back to protein shakes for two days BUT I am taking a double dose of fiber to avoid the havoc it reeked on my bowels last time (TMI So sorry!) DH HATES it when I do this. I think he mostly dislikes I'm not eating with the family. Oh bite me. We sorta argued this morning...He was looking for a pat on the back and I just wasn't catching on...(Ahh der) He professed his "better" discision making while eating out. Togo's Roastbeef instead of Fastfood....HUh? " But your still eating out?" I just didn't see the sacrifice he was supposedly making and said so before I thought better of it. I'm an @$$ sometimes. His commitment is very limited and it drives me crazy..I just have to refrain from saying so! :blah:(< Thats my FAV. face!) Working on it still. Holyterror~ :welcome2: What plan are you on? I did atkins 11 years ago under medical supervision, lost 55lbs in 10 weeks! NO BUENO. Now I kinda do a south beach/atkins/ calorie counting...PHEW!lol I can speak to getting healthy before you concieve. I had DS#1 when I was 20 and DS#2 just 5 months ago (I'm 34) OMG! Nearly killed me/...well I exaggerate, but I don't ever want to feel that terrible for that long again. DS#1 was a breaze. We are planning #3 for next year and I will be prepared! Grasshopper~ Welcome as well! We're all pretty chatty as well....Ok well I'm chatty! Pamela~ :wel3fc: What questions do you have? Your diet sounds good...tuna, salad, chicken etc... I agree with the sugar/caffiene addiction. I still have coffee occassionally but I am finished with refined sugar. I had no idea how truly terrible it made me feel! Karen~ Its your BIRTHDAY!!!!??:balloons: Happy day to you!!!! Whats the damage? Hows my pretty girl? Lauren~ Sorry your so sleepy. Give him a shot of bourbon...Ok I'm kidding but only a little...:tired: RR~ You have some 'splaining to do Lucy! J/K I love new faces!:grouphug: Lisa~ Congrats on your new scale. I have that digital lithium Taylor and absolutely hate it. I get 3-4 different reading all the time. It has to be in the EXACT right spot on the floor and my feet have to be in the same spot everytime. I take the best majority of 7 tries usually. ARRgg!! Monique~ WELCOME! Everyone here is very friendly and supportive. |
Hi Monique, I am also new to this site, i would enjoy chatting to you, and congrads. for the weight you have lost. I haven't lost any yet, but I am trying hard.
Tammy |
Holy teror -Im in fairfield too and yes i hope once my monthly thing disapperes i would have sweated off a couple additional pounds...LOL
Stevi-- Im glad your outfit worked out LBH-- Yes i know very dumb move RR-- I dont know about steps it was just me and my mom then i married a man younger then me with no kids and i gave him 4 of mine.....LOL if i missed anyone im sorry its hard to work and keep up with you all... as for me yesterday was **** i kept trying to jump on here to post and i just was so busy then i went home cause i wasnt feeling good etc anyways i had a great weekend with my husband, and kids we all hung out at the house with the a/c blowing i'd get a wild hair up my rear and say hey lets go to the mall and walk around we would open the door and bam it was like a heat wall would hit us so we'd just go back in the house and play games.. it was 115 on sat and same for sunday so NO CAN DO walking around in that heat. I think our new dog is pissed off at me she's a little older and very well trained already but, when i first got her i was walking her daily but since these heat waves i told her i cant do it she kindda turns her nose up at me ( spoiled brat) its like having a young child all over again sorry for the long post just wanted to give you all an update ~Michelle~ |
OMG!!! im so sorry :frypan: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN:woo:
|
Hey Everyone!! And welcome to all the new people!! Wow!! I spent the weekend at work roasting, then yesterday drove to a town 3 hours away to get some paperwork filed at the courthouse in the town where my Dad died, the lady was not helpful at the courthouse at all and originally directed us to a completely different town or to go back home and get some paperwork we needed off the internet and come back and file it. We had already told her that we just drove 3 hours to get there and that we don't know the area at all. Finally I asked her, "is there not somewhere here that we can get online and print off the papers that we need?" and she said "no" thinking I meant the courthouse (no of course not it would be way too much effort for her to get on the internet and print off the 4 pieces of paper that we needed, but regardless that wasn't what I meant), so I added "not here, as in the courthouse, but here as in the town!" and my sister added "like a library?", the library was only like 8 blocks away!! Why tell us to go to a different town if we can walk 8 blocks to the library and get the same thing for free??? So we walked to the library, got online, printed off the papers, went back and then had to pay $81.00 to file it. Oh joy. Oh well, at least it's done now. I stayed on my diet, we went to Applebee's for lunch while we were out and I had one of their Weight Watchers meals, got home about 7pm last night. It's been a long few days! Today af showed up, today was a week since my last visit to Weight Watchers but my Mom didn't want to go to the meeting today because she didn't stay on her diet this weekend, lol, so we are going tomorrow, hopefully af won't have me all bloated and retaining a lot of pounds. Oh the joys of being female. Sigh.
Happy Birthday Karen!! Hope it is a good one!! Stevi, good luck with the protein shakes and fiber, hope it helps!! Michelle, I wish I had been able to stay in my air conditioned house this weekend, work was miserably hot especially when you had to spend 16 hours there both days. I was whiney and witchy come Sunday swing shift, lol. Pam, it sounds to me like you are doing well! Like Lauren said a lot of people lose a lot the first week in water weight and then it slows down, I lost 6.5 pounds my first week dieting but haven't lost near that much on any week since then. Fitafter4 evenings are the hardest time for me as well, and sweets too!! So I tend to save most of my points (or calories for the evening) and then I'm usually fine. I also have low calorie sweet items here for me to have and I usually have one daily, that way I don't feel like I need to have something else that is worse for me. Currently I keep the Weight Watchers ice cream products here, they are 1 and 2 points depending on what they are, so I just have one of those each day and feel as though I've had my sweet treat for the day. :) Glad you finally got your ac fixed, I would hate to not have ac in my house right now, it's just been way too hot!! Holyterror, I can't do Atkin's either, I've tried it before, one I don't lose weight, but what little I do lose I gain back as soon as I eat anything off of it. But I do know a lot of people who have been really successful at it, and like anything else, it's all about finding what works for you!! And to everyone else HI!! Hope everyone is having a great week!! |
Thanks for all the compliments! I feel great! It is nice to see results like that.
RR, I have a step-son who hates me too! I have no idea what to do with it. A big part of the problem is I think his mom talks smack about me to him. She likes it that he doesn't like me. Instead of wanting him to be happy here, she wants him to to hate it here. I think that way he will always like him better. She's a little warped tho. Very insecure and wants to be ss's favorite. Like she wouldn't be...hello! I have no words of wisdom for you, sorry. Have you talked to dh about it and what does he say? Monique, :welcome2: ! All I can say about the kids and dhis maybe talk to them and tell them that it makes it really hard for you when they are pushing bad foods in your face. Lisa, the heat is killing me!! I hate all this humidity. My sinuses... Spitfire, good job on the journaling. I HAVE to do it. I get nowhere if I don't. Anyway, everyone have a great day! |
Hello everyone,
Remember (for you oldies!) how I was complaining about the constant eating before the baby was born? Well, now I am starving ALL the time. All I want to do is eat. And eat. And eat. Constantly. If I'm not actively eating, I'm thinking about it. I HATE this. I knew that darn program was going to bite me in the butt. I'm not making good choices either. I have the perfect opportunity to loose wt here...I have a nursing infant. Who's burning an extra 500 cal/day for me. Hey doofus!! Catch a clue here. I'm doing better today. I have to stop the inbetween meal eating. I have to, have to, have to. I also have to lay off the sweets. I was 209 at the doctor's office last visit. That means I have lost 21 pounds since before I was pregnant. I NEED A KICK IN THE BEHIND. What the **** is wrong with me? Hello, earth to Karen. Just because you couldn't have sweets for 2 months doesn't mean you have to eat them all up now. OK. Maybe that will help. Thanks for the birthday wishes. The Outback fairy (DH :) ) is stopping on the way home to bring us dinner. I am going to try to be good!  |
Whoa, Karen!! Have you lost a ton of weight since September?! Take advantage missy! Oh how I wish I hadn't gotten back to eating soo much after Robby! Geez, that was 20 lbs. ago! :(
|
Welcome to all the newbies !! :welcome2:

Hello to all the newbies!!! I can't go back to recheck what everyone wrote since we hit a new page!! Molly--I guess we are in this together--My SD doesnt have a mom(died when she was 7)to talk bad about me..I guess it is just the influences of the wicked stepmom fairy tales..Who knows... Ok--Stevi--Hope the fiber intake is continuing???? Just did 3 miles on the treadmill..My thighs are killing me from the birthday party this weekend that K went to(OK--28 trips holding a 36lb child going up stairs to the top of the large slide and then down the stairs to repick her up and start over) I couldnt get out of bed on Sunday!! Michelle--U sound very busy!!! Ok..off to work on some educational junk for work! RR |
I know what everyone is saying about staying on the "diet", it has been sooo hot here lately (see Molly's post) that I have been eating ice cream lately. I have been cutting out the snacks during the day though. I eat breakfast at 6:30, lunch at 12 noon, and dinner 5:30. Now it is the snacks at night.
Karen, hope your birthday is enjoyable. Lisa |
*wavie* to 707 and thanks for all the welcomes!!!!!

hi guys - don't know what happened but I lost this thread.
It's hard to believe it's wednesday already. I'm exhausted!! I think I might need to eat more. I've been working out an hour a day this week. (2 days but it's a start, right????). seriously though, I think I need to kick up my breafast portion a bit. karen - I hope you had a wonderful birthday!! mom of3 - I'm struggling a bit too. I found the no sugar added fudge pops and I've been having way too many of those! Luckily DF ate the rest yesterday and I'm not buying more this week. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of grocery shopping, so I'll not have anymore til monday. Maybe that will help :) okay, off for day three of the gym! Talk to you all soon! |
morning everyone....
yet another day i got up at 5 to do a workout. this morning's could have been better...i might get up and hit the treadmill in the morning...seems to be LOTS cooler. I did real well last night. had a frozen potroast dinner...210 calories, plus some artichoke quarters and some canned green beans. dinner was under 400 calories. drank 128 oz of water too...ok that's throughout the whole day :) today after work I have to go to the base to pick up a prescription and will be headed to the commisary afterwards. i need to make a grocery list :) Have a great day all...i gotta get showered for work |
Help!!!
I need help! Today is the "cookout" at work...burgers and brats. Ugh! Can you say loaded with F-A-T?? Would it be better to have 1/2 a hamburger (no mayo, no cheese) or a hot dog (plain)?
Went to try on dresses last night for a BIL's (brother in law) wedding next weekend end and UGH, how depressing! I made the HUGE mistake of going to a mall that "specializes" in small people! I walked in and out of at least FOUR shops that told me the largest size they had was a 10. Can you believe that? I should have taken the clue when walking around and seeing the personnel that was present. They were pencil-thin and plastic-looking. Needless to say, I came away feeling AWFUL about myself. [I hate that, too!] When I asked what size dresses they had, the lady behind the counter looked down her nose, sizing me up, and said, "maam--the largest size we carry is a 10, but feel free to try it..." SNOB! &%*! My self-image is L-O-W today.........I need to work on that! Who cares what plastic people say, right? Fit :?: |
FIT you have done great on your wieght loss 226-176 thats awsome dont let the plastic bring you down ( i do feel ya though)
anyways yes i have been very busy my oldest son got into some trouble with the law and had to do community service so we have been walking him every morning to salvation army and my work is 2 blocks away so everythings coming together. My husband should be finding out if the police dept he applied for is gonna come through BOY it would be nice cause then he would quit his full time job and the dept would pay him to go to school at night.... more money more time (YES!!!) anyways i hope evrything else is good we are supposed to be getting a break from the heat wave this week it's supposed to cool down to 98 degrees..LOL |
Hi All,
Michelle, sorry to hear about your DS, hope he learned a lesson and has straightened himself out. Hope DH hears something soon! That would be awesome! Fit, It's probably too late now, but I would have the burger. Don't know how they do things in TX, but sometimes they offer veggie burgers too, that would be a better choice. I would've left the mall after one store, if I realized all the stores were "small" minded! Holy, good for you getting up and excercising in the AM! Grasshopper, I LOVE TCBY chocolate sorbet pops! They're awesome, and I think only 1 WW pt. Not sure on calories, but probably around 60, if it was just 1 pt. Lisa, I hope you can control yourself better with ice cream than I can! I would eat the whole darn thing in 2 days! |
