  • It's about time!! I have lost a total of 4 lbs in 3 weeks!!! Congrats to all that had a loss, all that excercised and all that tried this week!!!
Not much to report..DH made it home and so I will have the time to excercise again...K has been soooo needy and clingy that I dont have time for to much except holding and consoling her..Not complaining though cuz U have soo little time before they grow up!!!

    Have a nice Sunday!!!
    RR
  • RR, congrats on the loss. I am glad that your DH is home and able to allow you to get back to your routine.

Not much new to report for me. I am going back to the gym today I am soo ready to start losing again. I updated my ticker yesterday after weighing myself. I am not happy about what the scale said. I stopped by my gym after church and picked up all the new schedules for the land classes and the water classes. I am going to shave my legs and then go later today I think.

I am also checking my school schedule to see what will work for me during the Fall Semester.

  • Hey Hey!
    Happy Sunday all!

Wow - another week already - did my usual Sunday routine - up at 5 am to get hubby's lunch made - he is trucker and gone till Wed am.

Then I do my animal chores - then I read all the new posts on 3FC and another forum that I frequent.

Now I will go have bkfst and fake my way through some housework - or I will take a nap...depends on if there is a decent disaster movie on that I can sleep through...

    Later.
  • Well Hello all, I made it to the gym today. I walked on the treadmill for 10 min. At least it is a start. I am going to try and get into the water tommorrow, even if there isn't a class that would meet when I can be there. If I can be in the water for 30 minutes, that would be good. At least it's something right?

At work, the department that I work in is changing offices this week, so I have a feeling that I will get my lifting and carrying of heavy things out of the system.

    Have a good week ya'll.
  • Good Morning everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA. We were a little stressed here. There was a possibility that my DH was going to be deployed and if it happened, it would be Saturday. He was also leaving for his two weeks on Saturday. So we were facing either 7 months to a year away or two weeks away. Turns out it's two weeks! Yippee! So, he's in Italy for two weeks. Sicily to be exact. Poor boy right? We are not safe from deployment, but I am cool with it and so is he. I feel much better since I learned that the place he would go (in Kuwait) has a permanent building and a Kentucky Fried Chicken across the street. I don't know why the KFC eased my mind, but it did!

I am getting back on program again for 70 umpteenth time. I eat horribly when he's away because I can't be bothered to cook. So I eat whatever is easiest. I'm going to go load up on veggies that he won't eat. We are also going to cut down on meat when he comes back. And exercise. That's my worst thing. I absolutely HATE to exercise.

Oh well, sorry for hte novella!

  • Hi All,

Had a really hot weekend by us...it hit 100° both days. We stayed inside Saturday, but yesterday DH was putting up a new swingset so we sat out in the shade. I filled the little baby pool and the boys had a great time in there. Then later we all went in the bigger pool. It felt sooo good.

I don't think I mentioned the swingset. One of the secretaries at the firm DH works at sent out an email last week that she had one of those wooden swingsets her kids have grown out of and whoever wanted it could have it free...just come dismantle it. So DH responded and so did 5 others. She drew names and he won! So he picked it up Saturday and set it up Sunday. Peter loves it!! Here's a pic from when it was still in the lady's yard.

Karen, Glad to hear DH is safe from deployment for now. How long does he have left in the reserves? Good for you starting over. I am determined to be good this week. I forgot to WI this am, so I'm not sure if I have a loss or not. I stepped on the scale Saturday AM... I think...I it wouldn't settle on a weight...think there's something wrong with it. Anyway, as close as it came to stopping, it settled around 259, which is 3 lb. down. But who knows.

Lisa, Good for you making it to the gym. Yes, you can do your own thing in the water! I tell my mom that all the time, because she can only make it there one day a week for a class.

PJ, LOL that you make DH's lunch for him. Considering he eats every other meal on the road! That's sweet, just sounds funny when you think about it!

RR, Congrats on the loss!!! Glad DH is home now!!

    **Newflash**
We have teef...two of them!! Robby finally broke his two bottom teeth through! I didn't think they'd ever come through. DH thinks the next one will be on the top, to the left of the left center one....weird, huh?

Also, Robby decided he wants to crawl this weekend! He's finally gotten up on all fours and started rockin' like a madman! I thought he'd go straight to walking, but I guess he will crawl. I give it a week before he's doing the "army crawl"!

    Have a great day all!
  • Good Morning!
    Good Morning all!

LBH - Congrats on the Swing! TEEF? That is so cool - army crawl - that is funny - nothing like hard floors to get you off your knees.

When I make lunch for DH - I make him enough food for 3 days - I only prepare 1 sandwich but give him fixings for 2 more, plus a load of other goodies that he can eat on the road - if he eats out at all it is usually only once. It may seem sweet on the surface - getting up at 5 am to do all this - but in reality - I do it for the checkbook - I know he wouldnt make the effort and would end up spending a fortune eating out. Oh - he might make enough for the first day - but I know him too well.

Karen - I am happy for you and DH - yeah - poor baby in Italy - that must suck! - I think the KFC gives you solace because it is familiar and to be in foreign country during wartime - one needs something familiar.

Lisa - you go girl - I love pools - wish I had one - I don't know what sort of equipment they have there - but if you take something that floats - like an empty milk jug in each hand - stand about rib deep in the water - then with arms out to the side - push the jugs under water - it is an excellent resistance exercise for the arms and shoulders. Sometimes they have ankle floats that you can put on one leg and stand at side of pool and do leg lifts - the float pulls your leg up and you have to force it down - you will sweat.

RR - congrats on the loss - it is a great feeling!

    Later Ladies!
  • Hello all, at work today we started moving the offices from one building to the next. I did alot of lifting and working out. After work I went to the pool and just relaxed. I kept moving which is what they say, but it was slow fluid motions. Let the water take the tension out of my back and arms. Then it was the hot tub for about five minutes.

    Well talk at yall later.
  • Didn't weigh in yesterday, my "visitor" is here if you know what I mean so I know the scale will show a couple of lbs higher and I have learned that even if I know it's extra water weight it still sets me up for binging so I will just weight until next weekend to weigh in.

My middle kid starts school tomorrow yeah!!!! I'm doing a happy dance!!!!! Not alot else going on here. Have a great week all!!

  • Just checking in this morning!!!K had a rough evening and night I think because of Albuterol...THe weather has been soo hot and muggy that she started wheezing and after I give it to her, the personality changes to a she devil...I am pooped this am...

Karen--Thank goodness DH is in a better place,,,I find I can eat better when mine is gone..Good luck with the veges!!!

Lauren-the girls love our wooden swing..I ordered a steering wheel, a telescope, periscope, horn, bell etc etc to make it more fun and they love it!!!
    Yeah on the loss!!!

Tiffy--When the "visitor" is here, I dont go near the scale either!!
Hello to all!!! LP--hope U have left the hot tub by now!!!
    Take care all.Time to run!!!
    RR
  • Hello, ladies! It sounds like many of you are having good days! I am, too--I lost 2 pounds !

I walked 3 miles yesterday, plus all the running around in my classroom trying to get ready for school. My plan is to do at least 2 miles a day (more if the Walk Diet calls for it) plus all the running around for school. I will meet my August goal later this week and will probably get to the 100 mile mark next week (I'm at 78.02 miles).

Here's hoping that everyone continues on their path to success!

    Michele
  • Hello Everyone! I posted on the other thread. But Roadrunner came in and pulled me out of there I realized this morning that I had lost a total of 18 inches since 7/27/05 I have been measuring myself weekly I realized that I lost 5 1/2 inches all over in one week. But I only lost 1 lb.
  • Congrats!
    Great Job Rakkoon!

Don't let the scale get you down! Measurements are far more accurate and that is what you see in the mirror - not some number on a scale!

Besides - the scale will move again - sometimes it takes it a week or so to catch up.

Been there. Go ahead - look in the mirror and feel good about you see - it is ok you are allowed to feel good about yourself - it will motivate you tomorrow.

  • Good Morning!! THat alarm went off way too early esp since K had those night mares from about 1am-3:30 when the alarm sounded..It is soo weird--she is still sleeping but screaming and kicking and hitting..I just have to say her name and she is out asleep again..Maybe it is the zyrtec--but if she skips that she gets hives from the cats, grass and even ketchup...

Welcome Rakkoon!!! Glad U found us...We change threads weekly on Sundays..Good job on the loss!!!Inches are better than pounds anyways!!

Michelle--I think I will make a mileage goal for the month of Sept..That is a good idea...Good job on the miles..I try for at least 3 miles/day on the treadmill or more but sometimes after walking 5-7 on the job..it is difficult..(I did actually measure!!! )

lp--hope U made it out of the hot tub???I bet U feel muscles U never knew U had!!!

GOOD MORNING and HELLO to all!!
    Have to get to work!!!
    RR
  • Hi All,

RR, ugh, sorry about the nightmares. Does she get them often? Does she have a lot of allergies? Has she been tested? Poor thing. Robby gets Zyrtec every night, but it's just for sinus type allergies.

    Rakkoon, Welcome to 30-something's! That's a lot of inches...congrats!!

Michele, Good for you on the miles! And congrats on the loss!!

Tiff, Hope the hag is gone soon and it reflects on the scale!

Lisa, The pools sounds soo relaxing!

Having a sh*tty time here the past couple days. There's some things in the works though, so hopefully something will turn up! Have a great day all!
