Congrats on the loss ChocLab!! Nothing like a bit of success to remotivate you!!

Great to hear from you Tiffy! Too bad about the job interview - I swear all employers are the same - you apply for a job, but now they have this other position and in there twisted little minds a job is a job and you should be grateful for whatever they toss you - DONT DO IT. I have had too many jobs that I took for the sake of being employed and was always miserable. You owe it to yourself and your family to find something that fits YOUR schedule and YOUR life. There are a bezillion jobs out there and YOU WILL find what you are looking for - dont let them push you around. You have skills that THEY NEED and taking a job is YOUR decision. They want you to think that is up to them whether they hire you or not - but if you take the stance of "It is up to me whether I ACCEPT this job or not" - without being cocky - just confident that you a valuable asset and CAN find something better if they dont want to work with you, I think you will find interviews going your way on position and hours. No matter how desperate you are for work - never let them know it, they will use it against you. Not to mention the fact that you have a special needs child and that makes your personal life a much bigger priority and you have to make that clear on your interview - you WILL find an employer that appreciates that and wont punsish you for it.

Gotta run - going to a funeral today - will either check in late tonight or tomorrow.

Hello All ,

Chocolate: Yippee! That is awesome.

Lauren: If were going to go back on the pill, that is what I would want to do. My doc insists on seeing everyone over 35 on the pill every six months. I'm so not up for that. Once a year is more than I want to do! If I'm not preggers by Christmas DH is going for the old snip snip. (He doesn't know it yet, but he is!)

Tiffy: Those are two entirely different positions! Why would they think that someone who applied for a clerks job would want to be out in the field? That's a lot of work! I'm an Occupational Therapist and I've done home care. Ugh. Not my favorite job AT ALL! Hope you find something soon!

Have a great day!

Talking Saturday - phew!

What a long day we had yesterday! We drove over 600 miles total.

DH's gramma had been cremated last winter but we put of the scattering of ashes until nicer weather (Selfish arent we?) But grams lived in La Pine, OR which has notoriously cold and snowy winters.

Anyway - we left home at 720 am - drove halfway to the beach (coquille) to pick up DH's aunt - then to La Pine, had a quick informal funeral - DH wrote a touching little prayer - then over the mountain to DH dads place in Oakridge, OR for dinner -then back to beach to drop off aunt, then home. We arrived here at midnight last night. I was so tired then I couldnt go to sleep - woke up at 7 am to let dogs out and went back to bed until 930 when the phone rang.

I still feel weird - and to make it worse my scale went up 2 lbs this week! So I need to start counting calories again and planning meals that are balanced and high fiber (that is probably the real issue) and cut back on salt again. The heat may be causing me to retain water so I need to lay off the packaged dinners (lean Cusine and SB, since very high in sodium). That I my eating yesterday was horrible. I had a good bkfst then ate a bunch of crap yesterday - bleh!

Anyway - babble babble babble - have a great day all - new thread tommorrow right? (just reminding myself cuz I am doofus)

Love PJ

Just dropped in to wish RoadRunner a HAPPY BIRTHDAY

The relatives went home this morning, so things should get back to normal.

Hello all. wow!!! When I started my vacation we were on page 2 for me and when I finally got to read everything we were on 4. And this is slow???!??

My vacation was great. I stayed with friends and we tried to eat healthy. A few times we didn't eat at all. We did alot of walking (garage sales) so that helps too. (I found some great bargins).

Karen~ just to let you know~ even if your DH gets snipped, you can get pregnant for up to 6 months. It's one of those little facts in the pamplets that the doctor hands out, but no one ever reads. (Friends had this happen)

To everyone: Hello
