Good Morninging everyone .... All I have to say is TGIF!!!! Anyone have any exciting plans this weekend ? We don't ...LOL ... Well I get to watch my nephew tomorrow, he is 6 months old (in fact Lauren his bday is Jan 18 ) Its nice to have a baby in the house again, especially one I can spoil and then send home with my sister !
Lauren - love the pic - they seem to be very happy little boys.
Not sure where the 4 pages is coming from - I only show 2?
Anyway my big plans are to go grocery shopping today (remember it is 70 mile round trip to Roseburg from here.) There are closer towns with stores but they want too much money and there is a Walmart in Roseburg AND my bank. So every other week I make the journey.
Nothing else planned - except the usual housework and maybe just maybe I will go for a short hike - we'll see how hot it is on Sunday.
Lauren, I have five pages. I don't remember setting any specific number of posts per page, but that doesn't mean anything. By the way, I love that picture. They are sooo cute.
Norissa, I plan on doing absolutely nothing (except play on the computer) on Sat. The only thing I have planned for Sun. is to go to church.
I normally don't work on Fridays, however I have extra workstudy monies available, so I am going in today. Then I am on vacation for a week. I probably won't be around much next week. I will be visiting friends in Cleveland, OH from Wed. to Sat.
Oh my gosh, Norissa, they are absolutely precious! Those smiles are infectious!!
Lisa, I think it probably defaults to 10 per page. If you go in your User CP, and Edit Options, you'll see the choices. Same place you change the time zone and stuff. Have a great vacation!!
Hey there. I hope this is where Im supposed to start. My name is Angie and I am 30 years old (and thats the first time Ive admitted it..) hehe. I am the single mother of 3 boys...Drew 10, Elijah 8 and Creed will be 2 next month. I have been so miserable lately and I know its time for me to lose this weight. I hit an all time high the other day of 250...I CANT BELIEVE IT! Also I work in the football industry and am around cheerleaders and hard core athletes everyday....and its killing me. I am so tired of feeling intimidated and invisible because of my weight. I am still breastfeeding so I am just going to have to start exercising....PURE TORTURE...honestly I would rather poke my eyeball out with a flexie straw than to break a sweat....but I MUST!!! I am just looking for someone or a group of someones to be accountable to...if that makes any sense. Well...thanks for listening.
Good morning! I am also new to this forum (joined yesterday). 3 years ago I weighed 207 and couldn't believe it. I went out and bought some Leslie Sansone tapes and some light weights and started walking. I also eliminated pop from my diet. Over the next year, I lost 26 pounds and was thrilled. Then my sister got married (in Sept '03)and, according to my husband, I lost my reason to lose weight. I don't know whether I agree with him, but that IS when the weight started to creep back on. In December '03 I convinced him to buy a treadmill, which I used faithfully, without much change. Then in April '04 I joined Curves and lost 8", but not much weight. Then my life started REALLY getting in the way of formal fitness and the weight and inches returned Earlier this month I weighed in at 218 and decided I HAD to get serious about losing weight and getting healthy for ME AND MY KIDS (and my husband, though he loves me just the same). I have walked 41.5 miles so far this month. I turn 39 on Monday (Aug 1) and my long term goal is to lose 40 pounds by my 40th birthday. I have lost 2 so far.
I am a high school Spanish teacher, so life is about to return to chaos. I start back on Aug 19 (though I will probably have to go in on my own before then to get everything done ). My own children, (daughter, 11 and son, 9) start back on Aug 24. My husband commutes an hour each way to work, so "Mom's taxi service" is always running.
I have found much motivation, encouragement and friendship from forums like this one and hope to do the same here.
Angie, glad you made it over here! Hope we can be some motivation to you...or at least use us for accountability!
Michele, Welcome! Glad you've joined us! Sounds like you've done a great job on your own soo far. Keep up the good work...you have a very reasonable goal!
Lauren: We gotta take the boys! Peter would SO love the new kiddie area. They've moved the Tigers over by the new area and Alex loves seeing them on the way in and out.
Welcome to all you new guys! I'll be back later. Gotta go cool off for awhile!
