ladyhawke1014 thanks - I was tempted, but I've done a lot of work on changing how I think and it is good to see the changes I'm making are sticking!

Well, I quit. And instead of going out for a feeding frenzy, I did an intense yoga class. I even stayed after everyone had left to do my own "ommms" as that isn't part of the class. I had a yoga instructor who used to remind us that "ommms" releases sorrow and by my last one, I could feel my saddness floating away. Definately better than a pint of Ben & Jerry's.

Today I rewrote my resume and my first cover letter in about 5 years. I also got in a work out, but haven't had nearly enough fruits or veggies. Eeek, I just realized I haven't had any water today either, off I go ...

Hi Everyone,

Moma: Good for you! It takes a strong woman to go through all that and then go to an exercise class. I tried Yoga, it just wasn't for me. It may have been better if it weren't the middle of winter in a cold room. My feet were alway FREEZING! I hope you find another job soon.

Lauren: I totally missed the job demotion. When did that happen? I hope you find something else soon, too. You've been having a tough time with the jobs lately.

I hosted another MOMS event at the house today. The only thing I don't like is having to mop before and after. I hate mopping with a passion. It was a social for new members and we only had one new member show up. It was fun sitting around and gabbing. I also signed up to sell Avon today. I'm not sure how it's going to work out. I'd like to make a few extra bucks, but I'm mostly doing it so I can get bubbles and stuff cheaper.

Hope y'all are having a great week.

Karen, they called me the week before I went back to work to tell me! They laid off 2/3 of our sales staff, one of our product mgrs., and the sales director on Feb. 1st. As a result, they had to reorg some of the positions in the Marketing department. They did have 2 admins, one of which was a girl that used to be the receptionist until she got promoted a month or two before my maternity leave. They had hired a temp to be receptionist, she started the Monday after my last day. The temp quit sometime before the reorg, I think. They kept one admin in Marketing and made hte other girl (the old recept.), a p/t marketing assistant, p/t customer service. CS was my position! Since they couldn't by law lay me off (unless is was part of a major lay-off), they gave me reception. Nice, huh? I also found out that most people got a cost of living raise of 3%...nothing was mentioned to me! I told the office manager, who's now my boss, that I really wish I had gotten laid off, instead of this, because I'm not happy. Now I have to rely on someone to cover me all the time - to pee, to pump, to have lunch - it's stupid. But if they want to pay me an insane amount of money for the job I'm doing, that's their problem!

Didn't you get that Hoover Floor Mate? Doesn't that make mopping easier?

Thanks Karen, I'm always surprised by just how much I love my yoga classes. Up until now, all the classes I've taken have been in dark, mirror less rooms, but now , I'm right out in the open, in the middle of the gym, with mirrors on two sides. Sometimes I'm shocked to see myself, completely overshadowing all the other students in the class (meaning I can see my whole outline around their images in the mirror), but am more shocked that I continue to do this to myself!

Default Happy Easter

Moma, sounds like you totally found your niche. With the Firm workout that I started, (I really don't care for it) but I've only done it a couple of times. I told DH that I didn't care for it, and the next time I used it--I broke the step. I REALLY didn't mean to. Fortunately, DH was able to fix it. So now I have to give it a fair chance.
I probably won't be on the boards this weekend, so I will check in with you chicks on Monday. I have to figure out what I'm going to have to eat at IHOP Easter breakfast. (I'm not too happy about Easter breakfast at IHOP [that's a really long story], but...a veggie omelette with eggbeaters doesn't sound too bad) Happy Easter everyone!!

Hello Everyone,

Not much going on here today. Just laundry. Whoopee!

Lauren: Oh my, that really sucks. I hope you find something soon. The corporate world can be such a pain. Not that the medical one wasn't, just that you always knew if the hospital or unit you were on was just limping along.

Moma: Keep up the yoga!

Ladyhawke: That's how I feel about the Pilates video's I got. The totally kick my butt. I've got to get back to doing them.

Have a great weekend! I guess the boards will be down, so y'all have a great Easter.

Hello all,

Lauren and Moma, I hope you find another job soon. I know what it's like being in a job you just can't stand.

I couldn't believe how much I had to read. I haven't been on in a few days. I have broncitis and I have been either sleeping or nesting in front of the tv. (Watching HGTV) The good thing and bad thing about being sick now is that it is spring break. Good cause I won't miss anymore class, Bad because it's my vacation.

I hope everyone elses Easter is happy and healthy.

Just wanted to say Hello! and Happy Easter! I have a full weekend ahead of me (like I'm sure you all do too), but I am going to use the elliptical tonight and maybe I'll run tomorrow and then elliptical Sunday. I have to work off the breakfast burrito I had this am.
