Hey all! Thanks for the welcomes! It is really nice to find this board.
Lauren: Congrats on #2! I think for me the hardest part of having number 2 was worrying that I would not have enough love to go around...and then it is so amazing to think that you have the two most incredible kids in the universe!

#3 is hard because then you and DH are outnumbered...
DrummerGirl: We have a lot in common! I live in New Mexico so I know about the water issue first hand! We are also about the same height and weight with similar goals...We can do this!
Morrigan: Just remember breastfeeding burns 500 kcal per day! You are doing such a great thing for your health and your baby's health. My kids are 11 (girl), 9 (boy), 4 (girl) and 20 months (boy).
Having small kids can certainly impact living/eating/exercising well, especially when experiencing pregnancy and breastfeeding. I thought it would be fun to come up with:
YOU KNOW YOU ARE A MOMMY TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT WHEN:
1) You run to the cadence of "One Two Buckle My Shoe"
2) When your son informs his kindergarten teacher that "My mommy has buns of steel." (Remember those workout tapes?)
3) When as you are drinking from your water bottle and you notice that your toddler has backwashed animal cracker bits into it, you wonder how you add that to your calorie count.
4) When your 4 year old can keep pace with you for a half a mile wearing her purple sandals with flowers on them.
5) When you make the Chicken Sesame Lean Cuisine cause your kids are having chicken nuggets and mac and cheese and that is the closest thing to it.
6) WHen the real reason you believe in extended breastfeeding has nothing to do with attachment parenting and everything to do with milking the 500 kcal/per day for all it is worth!
7)When your guilt at spending time exercising is overshadowed by the reality that taking care of yourself and setting a good example for your kids is the best gift you can give them.
Any more?
