things are going well so far. I've had my 2 yr old nephew since thursday morning and we are both getting used to the new routine. He's getting acclimated to playing at the Y and I'm learning how to get the most of my workout since I can only expect him to hang in there for half as long as I'd like to work out. Mama has been around a lot in the evenings and this weekend so that helps. It's been an adjustment for me to have a little guy to contend with and he is realizing when he's with Auntie Lolo he gets more activities (ymca and park) which he likes but less cartoons and candy/junkfood which he also loves. So its a balance but so far so good.
Thurs 50 mins exercise
Fri 80 mins exercise
Sat 90 mins exercise

faunaflora 09-09-2012 04:32 PM

down to 173... things are moving in the right direction. Thank goodness b/c I've gone out to eat twice this weekend. I think I was retaining a lot of water from weight-lifting I haven't done it since Wednesday, so that's gone down. I'm going to lift weights tomorrow, so I need to make sure I keep my eating reasonable so that if I have up to a 4 lb weight gain again this week I'll know it is the water retention from the weights. I tend to fill up like a water balloon, and never have been able to drink enough water to mitigate that even when I try!

Thistleberry 09-09-2012 06:37 PM

I still haven't gotten to my squats! :( When I posted I forgot that I was scheduled to do my B workout and not the A (which includes squats). That night I didn't get a workout in at all as life got in the way and I had to help a friend through a personal crisis instead. Couldn't work out yesterday because of family commitments. Finally got back at it today! It was good.

I went to a nearby park afterwards to play on the monkey bars. I fooled around doing monkey bar rows, hanging sit ups, and just swinging around. Turns out I can only go from one bar to the next 3 times in a row. I was wearing gloves, but man does it shred your hands! Anyway, it was a fun little break from the norm. I think I might do it more often. I've looked up monkey bar workouts so I have more fun ideas of things to do. Maybe someday I'll actually be able to pull myself on top of the dang thing. Dream big!

Glad things are going well, Faunaflora. How long have you been lifting? I found the first month or so I held on to a lot more water weight after workouts than I do now. I think my body knows what to expect now or something and doesn't freak out as much as it did. I know that bodypump isn't exactly the same as lifting heavy (because of the much higher number of reps) but it could be a similar circumstance. Alternatively, have you tried tracking your weight according to your own cycle rather than by the calendar? I started doing that and found that a lot of the time when I thought I was retaining water from a workout or a lot of sodium or excess carbs or what-have-you , it was really just my body's normal fluctuations. I have graphed my last four cycles and it is uncanny how similar they are. I can now predict each day. I knew I was going to be down somewhere from half a pound to one pound on Saturday because every Saturday of week two of my cycle I am. I knew I was going to be up by about two pounds this morning. I know that tomorrow I'll be down by about a half. In the last 15 days I've only been off by more than half a pound in my predictions two days. Now maybe this is old news to people who always got their periods regularly, but it's completely new to me. I have PCOS and have always had extremely irregular periods. Before I switched my hormone therapy (read: birth control pills) I would bleed two or three weeks out of four. I am just so giddy to finally have figured this out! (Hence the rambling and tmi, for which I apologize.)

Chubbygirl, it sounds like you are a truly fabulous aunt. It's wonderful that you've been able to balance your needs with your nephew's. And it sounds like you've been a great role model for him. I don't know your situation; how long will he be with you?

Thanks for the in depth discussion, I appreciate it!

Maybe I will start tracking, that's a good idea. I'm bad at tracking stuff but if I start feeling frustrated about weight loss I may find the frustration worse than the work it takes to track! :)

I had been lifting for 4 months, then took a two month hiatus and fell off the wagon and gained 10 lbs back of 30 I had lost. I started lifting again last month, and only last week did I start approaching what I used to lift. So maybe it's that my body hasn't readjusted to lifting heavier in Pump and is freaking out.

When you do your squats, report back!

Chubbygirl253 09-09-2012 10:19 PM

hi everyone. I got 75 mins of exercise today and did 4.5 miles.

I'm pretty pleased where I'm at on my Sept goals especially considering I'm babysitting.

My goals progress report:
3 lbs lost, 10 to go
51.25 miles logged, 48.75 to go
16.25 hrs cardio done, 43.75 to go

Chubbygirl253 09-10-2012 02:49 PM

Thistleberry-
Thanks, I really do try to be a good aunt. Especially right now when he doesn't have his parents and he misses them. I've had him since 9/6 from 7:30am till midnight every day and will continue to have him thru 9/24. He sees mommy and daddy for only about a half hr each morning. I know it's hard on him. Bedtime especially. But hes a happy kid and doing well. I know I do things differently than they do but he is adjusting well.

alaskanlaughter 09-10-2012 10:53 PM

i ran today...same amount etc...nothing new to report...very cloudy and turned rainy and windy and cold and my knee is acting UP(!)....very achy...i dont think it's the running, i think it's TOM approaching as well as the weather turning colder

Chubbygirl253 09-11-2012 03:20 AM

not much to report here either. I weighed today but no change. My arms are a little sore from my strength training. I only got to do a little over an hour of cardio but calorie intake was good today.

faunaflora 09-12-2012 08:32 PM

Skipped the gym Monday and Tuesday b/c I was so busy with work.

Tonight I did Body Pump and Zumba, feeling great! I scaled back on weights a little b/c I skipped two days of exercise and I think I could have done a teeny bit more. I really want to try to get to the gym on Friday so that I can do Body Pump again.

Sitting at 173 still, but retaining like 1/2 a pound of water, so not too bad. I need to remember to weigh myself less often while I'm having the H2O fluctuations.

Thistleberry 09-13-2012 09:25 AM

Do you suppose bruising causes water retention? I was hooping yesterday for almost an hour trying to get better at hip hooping and moving the hoop from my waist to hips. I'm bruised all along my pelvic/hip bones. Glad I didn't use a weighted hoop! Yikes!

I finally got to do my squats on Tuesday. I was able to up the weight by 15 lbs! I was very happy about that. Terrible DOMS yesterday and today though, which I'm less thrilled about.

alaskanlaughter 09-13-2012 12:43 PM

i have TOM this week and it's also been raining like crazy, also thunderstorms...and cold, very very wet and chilly and cold :( ugh i hate being cold...ive still been running though

also been variously ravenous with TOM and then not hungry...the day before yesterday, i ate A LOT (!!) of food and yesterday was barely hungry at all...today im starving this morning so i ate more than usual...i try to really listen to my hunger signals and what my body's telling me vs. just a craving...granted, sometimes i'll cave to a craving anyhow...but if i'm genuinely hungry then i will eat

im done with my morning work...now i get to rest, take son to high school, go to the gym and work til 6 p.m....directly after 6 i have two different meetings to be at tonight...no idea when i'll be home

and also, with the bruising question, i would think that yes you could retain water if there are alot of big serious bruises, your body would treat it like any other injury and retain water

Thistleberry 09-14-2012 09:23 AM

Sorry TOM is giving you such a hassle appetite-wise, Alaskanlaugher, though it sounds like you're managing to keep your calories pretty balanced anyway. Natural calorie cycling. Good for you!

Yesterday was one of those days when I didn't particularly feel like lifting but was all about the post-workout smoothie so did anyway. (Well, that and I have a goal to get a certain number in this month and if I skip that'll be near impossible.) Even still, managed to up my Bulgarian Split Squat and Cuban Snatch weights last night by 2.5 lbs each. The only unfortunate thing was that I pinched a finger when I was reracking my plates. That resulted in a lot of hopping around and incoherent muttering.

I'd really like to hoop again tonight but I'm not really keen on putting bruises on top of bruises so I think I'm going to do some yoga instead.

I signed up for a 5k with my sister and her sister-in-law and mother-in-law! I've never done one. Pretty excited about it. It's on September 22nd.

alaskanlaughter 09-15-2012 12:38 AM

i finished my week again of running....2.1 miles every workday M-F with additional walking each day...total week of running is 10.5 miles with total distance including walking of 16.25 miles...and after each morning of running, i then go to work where i'm on my feet all afternoon 1-6 p.m. or thereabouts

after work was done at 6 p.m. today i stayed with my younger son at the school's fundraiser carnival event...got home around 7:30 and literally SAT DOWN for almost an hour...my feet hurt SO BAD and i know i have good shoes, it's just the combination of working out and THEN being on my feet the rest of the day lol

it was one of those low-calorie days again, after eating more yesterday...i wasnt hungry all day and am sitting at only 820 calories at almost 9 p.m....i am making something to eat though and probably going to bed soon...i am exhausted

faunaflora 09-15-2012 05:52 PM

Did Zumba today but wasn't tired enough after so sprinted .45 of a mile on the treadmill at a 9 min/mile pace until I felt the lactic acid burn! Then stopped.

alaskanlaughter 09-15-2012 10:28 PM

what is this supposed to feel like? just wondering if i get that too...and i suppose its a good thing? i have no idea...fill me in :)

alaskanlaughter 09-17-2012 03:41 PM

i bought an actual running shirt this weekend!! ive been wearing an old tee-shirt for nearly a year now and, to be honest, no amount of washing is going to get that thing clean now :( i mean, soaked in sweat 5 days a week for nearly a year...yeah, not good...poor shirt lol....so i got an ACTUAL top built for workouts, the tight clingy kind with the straps crossed in the back to keep it secure...whatever that's called

and i ran longer total distance today! i put in total running distance of 2.25 miles and walked a little farther than that, still in 45 minutes total on the treadmill...and so far i'm not sore from it lol

Thistleberry 09-18-2012 01:37 PM

That's a great treat for yourself, Alaskanlaughter. I own one of those shirts too because my mom found it on sale for an extremely good price and couldn't pass it. I'm glad she did. I like it. :)

Finally got to go back to the park after my lifting again yesterday. I couldn't for the last week or so because a festival was being held there. I really enjoy doing hanging sit ups. They make me feel kind of badass while I'm doing them, like I'm some super fit chick in some training montage in a movie. In reality I'm a pudgy, somewhat uncoordinated chick whose foot got stuck trying to get down from the first set, but a girl can dream.
Managed to swing 4 rungs this time, which is still lame but is 1 more than last time! Slight progress is still progress.

alaskanlaughter 09-18-2012 04:42 PM

thats so cool to be able to work out at the park like that :)

i ran again this morning....did 2.25 miles again which is the longest distance ive ever done...the run was harder than yesterday though, which i attribute to not having my protein shake beforehand...im also very stuffy in my nose and sneezing alot...little son is a bit sick so i probably have a touch of that...i havent gotten a serious cold/flu since i started running last year though :) although i still had bouts of bronchitis and ear infections

i didnt DARE take anything for my nose though before running due to those horrible reactions that i get...i still havent taken anything but i always carry allergy tabs in my bag just in case i need it

i saw a new low on the scale today - 187.8!! my lowest weights for the month are always directly after TOM so i really expect it to climb a little pretty soon and hold there for the month

Thistleberry 09-19-2012 11:59 AM

Congrats on the distance and the new low weight! I've found my low weight occurs right after TOM too and it's always so very nice to see.
Oh goodness, yes, let's keep those bad reactions to a minimum! I hope your sniffles don't turn into a full blown cold.

Yeah, a part of me worries about doing these things at the park because it's so public Do people see me and think I'm an absolute nut? A grown woman monkeying around on a children's playground, intermittently dancing, and wrapping it all up with stretching? But a part of me is adament that it doesn't matter. I'm just doing my thing and it's fun.
Haven't decided if I'm going again tonight as I have to stay at work later than usual. We'll see.

alaskanlaughter 09-19-2012 02:55 PM

well, there will be no workout for me today :( im so bummed but i feel absolutely crappy...and there are VERY few days when i feel crappy enough to stay away from the gym

my face hurts like crazy and my ears are getting fluid buildup...i already went to my doctor who gave me antibiotics so it should stop things in their tracks soon...i've learned the hard way not to let ear infections go and hope they clear up...that's what led to a series of massive ear infections last winter that ended with multiple injections of antibiotics typically used to treat meningitis! eek!

so i'm going to rest for a few hours and then head to work...yes, sadly i have to work, there is no one to cover for me with my students :(

Thistleberry 09-19-2012 03:32 PM

That's too bad, AlaskanLaughter. I'm sorry you're feeling so unwell. :( It's a pity you still have to work, but do try your best to rest as much as you can and take care of yourself. That's the important thing. Here's hoping you have a speedy recovery.

Chubbygirl253 09-19-2012 08:35 PM

my workouts are going good. As of today I have done 99 miles (various methods) in Sept. The goal was first set at 60 miles but then I raised it to 100. Since I'm only a mile away from goal I'm going to raise it to 120. So I can stay challenged. Ok, I have a toddler who will be getting up any minute so take care.

From Livestrong: "The American Council on Exercise defines lactic acid production as a physical state following the first few minutes of vigorous exercise, where blood fails to transport enough oxygen into working muscles to meet activity demands. In this anaerobic state, you may feel winded and your muscles will more than likely ache or burn."

You are a runner so you've probably built up more tolerance than me... when I feel that ache/burn I definitely feel like stopping. I haven't gotten into running as much as other activities.

So my TOM is approaching, indicated by my appetite, feeling like crying, and bloating... but I'm at 173 so only 1 lb up. I'm hoping that after my period I drop a couple of pounds, that would be so nice. I'm trying not to give into the hungry monster that takes over during this lovely time.

alaskanlaughter 09-20-2012 12:44 PM

ive noticed that i too feel like stopping just as i'm getting into it...but i just keep going and then it gets better...that must be the lactic acid thing

i wont be working out today either...i still feel like crap and my younger son is sick so i'm staying home most of the day with him and wont be able to get to the gym anyhow...ive sort of made peace with that because i've made up my mind to run this weekend both days to make up for these last two days...it seriously bugs me when i cant run :( but i know my body needs to heal and i also cant leave my son home alone lol

alaskanlaughter 09-21-2012 04:43 PM

i think the antibiotics are working...i feel better today, not 100% but almost there...i did go for my run at the gym, same distance as usual...i feel a little bit worn out from it but hopefully the rest of the day will be easy...headed to work now

Wolfshadow 09-22-2012 02:48 AM

Sorry for the delay in checking in. Things have been hectic hectic hectic for me!

Last week and a half, my sister's FIL was visiting from El Salvador.. very sweet man and also very loaded with money. I swear, he treated us to dinner every day. I managed to gain 5 pounds and, at the worst of it, was at 301 again. (And that was with TRYING to stay on diet as much as possible!) I mean, the first night he was here, he insisted on Denny's... and I had already eaten way above my carb and calorie count that day... So I ordered a diet soda and a small bowl of coleslaw. Mr. Santamaria takes one look at this measly portion and says "Diet?" "Si. Diet."

He scowls at me and goes "Grmmmm...." O_O THIS MAN IS A FRIGGIN' SURGEON, OK?! (And I guess really famous, he has some award where if, God forbid, if the Pope falls ill anywhere in Latin America he has to be the one to work on him..) You'd think he would understand that being 300+ pounds isn't a GOOD THING!!! o_o

My poor little sister though, who had him in her house and didn't have the excuse of 'going to class!' or 'going to the Y!' to get out of it, gained 30 pounds, going up from 130 to 160. She was NOT happy.

But, I got back on the bandwagon today, hit the Y and got there in time for half of water aerobics (I've been having some kind of problem with accelerating with my car and it takes me ALOT longer to get from point A to point B than I'd like... She's eating gas now too... and the fact that gas is 4.05 a gallon here ISN'T HELPING!) and then got the flippers on and swam laps for another few hours. (Water aerobics ended at 6:30. I finally got out of the pool at 9.)

My bike's seat is loose and needs to be tightened.. but with how high gas is and how crappy my car is acting, I think, until Snow flies, the bike is going to become my #1 source of transportation around town.. (as much as that bugs my mom..)

I've also gotten back down to (just slightly) lower than pre-Mr. Santamaria's 11 day visit... 296.0! (Though, the Y's scale says 294..... Which is odd... just last week it was exact with my mom's scale...)

Anyway.. Back on track and still losing. Signed up for swimming lessons! :3 We'll see how soon I can get in. :3

You folks have a great night!

alaskanlaughter 09-22-2012 10:50 AM

if your car is eating gas and having difficulty accelerating....check your spark plugs and all the hoses that connect under the hood....i had similar problems along with a crappy idle system and it turned out to need new spark plugs and there was a cracked air intake hose under the hood that was an easy fix (well, easy if you can connect the hose)...i was lucky that my BIL is a diesel mechanic and he changed my spark plugs for me and DH fixed the hose

i am up WAY WAY too early for a saturday morning....woke up at 5:45 a.m. and could not fall back asleep, felt perfectly rested...i think my body automatically hit the middle between summer up at 5:30 and winter up at 6:30 lol....im going downtown for a chaotic, crowded health fair anyhow this morning, need to be there early anyhow, and am going to try to get blood drawn and tested for TSH thyroid...never had that done before

Thistleberry 09-23-2012 02:13 PM

I participated in my first official 5k yesterday. It's the Glo Run for the Ronald McDonald house. We got all decked out with all kinds of necklaces and bracelets from the dollar store; I even made myself a really fun chainlink belt with the bracelets. I also wore a set of fairy wings for no particular reason except that it was fun. And it WAS fun. We had such a good time! AND I ran the entire 5k!! I've never done that before and really had no idea I was capable. So elated!! :D :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:

Unfortunately, I have a very sore and swollen throat today and I'm ridiculously tired. I was supposed to lift today but that just doesn't seem like a good idea. I'm a little bummed because it was to be my last workout before my week long lifting hiatus, but it is what it is.

alaskanlaughter 09-23-2012 09:12 PM

way to go on the 5K!!

i ran both days this weekend to make up for missing two days this week being sick....yesterday i got a medium-size blister while running on the pad(?) of my big toe...today i patched it up and ran again...i was shocked to see that it then turned into a HUGE blister covering nearly the entire pad of my toe :( i was sooo bummed and i dont know what would have been bothering my foot....same workout, same socks, same shoes, same everything...so i treated the blister and bandaged it up and will have to find a better way to patch it up in order to run tomorrow :( i typically use moleskin for a bad blister, put a bandaid over the blister, then the moleskin, then another bandaid to keep it in place and i'm usually good to go

i'm still trying to have a "rest day" despite running today...i'm mostly sitting at home, doing laundry and not much else :) it's pouring rain outside too

alaskanlaughter 09-24-2012 04:14 PM

i patched myself up to run today...bandaid, then moleskin, then athletic tape over the whole toe...it still bothered me to run but more of an annoyance versus a lot of pain

i put in the total 2.25 miles ran with a total distance 3.30 miles which is my typical run these days...going to work now

and today i celebrate 10 YEARS together with my man :)

Wolfshadow 09-25-2012 12:13 AM

Welp, went to the Y today, was a little late because I had someone showing up to see a kitty and I get to tell him he's approved tomorrow and drop the kitty off at her new house!! YAYYYY one more down!

So I weighed myself at the Y and I'm a bit unsure which scale I should be listening to at this point... The Y's scale (one of those doctor ones) says I'm 290 (OMGGGG!!) and my mom's digital said I'm 294. I'm still going based on my mom's scale until I weigh in at the Y sunday as part of the 10 week - 10 pounds challenge. (I was 297 on weigh-in day!)

Food intake was good today, had a few more sodas than normal (especially this time of year I tend to do more coffee than anything else) and swam my heart out for a few hours. Another couple pounds lost..

My poor sis still has 10 pounds to go before she's back to pre-Mr. Santamaria's visit weight... And I'm back to losing.

My size 24 jeans (THAT MY MOM JUST BOUGHT FOR ME LESS THAN A MONTH AGO) are starting to become loose. o_o I do NOT believe it. Thankfully I have size 22 (wayyyy back when I was on atkins before, I lost a lot and got down to a 22/20..) saved in a tote for this very day, when I could fit those clothes again.

I'm just gonna invest in belts.... lotta belts.

Anyway, kinda excited. My car's having issues and being on unemployment means not having the moola needed to fix her right now. (Check engine is on and flashes, hates going up hills, chugs and shudders when accelerating..... pretty sure it's either gas injection or transmission... choice A I can probably borrow $ from my mom and get her fixed, choice B, I drive her into the ground and don't look back.) Soooo, instead, I will be tuning up my bike (1993 Huffy Echo Canyon) and using that as my main mode of transportation around town. Thankfully Syracuse is a pretty bike-friendly city.

Anyway, you ladies have a nice night and I'll check in in a few more days! ^_^

alaskanlaughter 09-26-2012 02:54 PM

i am finishing up the month of september with my goal of running at least two miles every workday for the month...i actually started doing 2.0 miles the last week of august...then i did 2.1 miles for a week and a half, then 2.25 for a week and a half, now i'm doing 2.30 for this last week...i like knowing that my GOAL is 2.0 miles but that i'm pushing past that a little bit each time

i ran this weekend, which i usually dont, because i missed two days last week due to an ear infection and sinus infection...so i made up those days last weekend...and i still have 5 days to run during this week...so i'm running a total of 8 days straight (last friday through this friday) which is more than i normally go without a rest day...we'll see how that goes

tomorrow and friday i need to be up at the crack of dawn (or "pitch black" as we call that in alaska lol) to get a run in before work....i work at 7 a.m. both days, probably working straight through til 6 p.m. as needed

faunaflora 09-26-2012 09:54 PM

Ugh, caught a bad cold, haven't exercised since Sunday, so sad.

alaskanlaughter 09-27-2012 11:48 PM

i am almost to my september goal! i got up super early to run today, up at 4:30 a.m. and at the gym running at 5:15 a.m. because i had to get myself and my son to work by 7 a.m.....i actually rather liked the early morning run although running for now-7 days in a row kinda sucks for my legs

i then worked all day from 7-5:30 with a few hours break to go to parent teacher conferences...i am utterly exhausted now

rinse and repeat for tomorrow and i will be all done with september!!

alaskanlaughter 09-29-2012 01:04 AM

i finished out my goal for september :carrot::carrot:running at least two miles 5 days a week, aiming for workdays...due to illness last week, i ended up running 8 days straight this last week...that was hard mentally and somewhat physically...

i got up at 4:30 a.m. for my run at the gym...then i went to work at 7 a.m....luckily i was able to actually take my split shift time off and came home and rested for a few hours...worked all afternoon, then went to the local high school football game because they honored all the seniors and my intern that works for me was honored and wanted me to go see it...

i am DROP DEAD exhausted :( its 9 p.m....my feet are soooo sore and tired...tomorrow i get my protein smoothie from the gym as my reward for september...dont know what my october goal will be yet :)

Thistleberry 10-01-2012 08:04 PM

Congratulations on hitting your goal, Alaskanlaughter! Woot! :cheer:
I hope you got yourself a good rest and are feeling better than ever. :)

I started stage 5 of NROLFW yesterday. The dreaded bodyweight matrix is back! Dun dun DUN! Happily, single leg romanian deadlifts are back too. I love them just as much now as I did the first time.

For this cycle I've set myself a goal of at least 20 minutes of cardio/dedicated movement every day. Usually I do cardio (45 minutes to an hour) 2 days a week and lift 3 times a week (hour to an hour and a half), but I think I'd like to commit myself a bit more. I'll keep all that the same but add bare minimum 20 minutes of cardio to the otherwise non-cardio days. To that end, I walked/jogged 3.5 miles on Saturday (jogged about 3/4). After lifting I took my bike out for a quick 20 minute spin yesterday. Today my thighs are crying out in pain so I went for a 30 minute walk. They felt a lot looser when I got back home but now, about an hour later, they're back to hurty hurt mchurtersville.
Three days down! :)

my sept goals results were great and I have high expectations for Oct.
Sept stats:
lost 7 lbs. goal was 13. But I did lose over 14 inches in various body parts in just one month!
did 67 hours of cardio. goal was 60.
did 191.5 miles. goal was 120.
burned 52,009 calories. goal was 50,000.

Today was a good way to start off Oct. Did 5 hours of cardio, 19.5 miles, and burned 4018 calories. I can totally do this!

and a NSV: a friend came over to shop in my closet for a dress to wear to a wedding this weekend. I have some beautiful dresses that my big booty outgrew a few years ago. After my friend left with what she needed I tried on a couple. I fit into one of my faves, a size 20 retro party dress with a crinoline under the skirt. I think I had given up hope of ever wearing it again! I wanted to do a cartwheel!

am playing around with HIIT this week on the treadmill...right now doing one minute walk 3.4 speed, 30-second run at 6.5, 30-second run at 7.3 speed, then back to one minute walk....i have to work up to a full-out run because it's hard to go from a walk to a dead run like that...so i increase the speed gradually over 30 seconds til i hit 7.3 speed....i can sustain that for 30 seconds barely so i think that qualifies at HIIT(?)...i do 10 sets of that, walk a minute/run a minute, and then i finish out my time with walking at 3.8 speed at a 5% incline

Wow, Chubbygirl, 14 inches in one month? That is amazing! Congratulations on meeting and exceeding your goals.

Alaskanlaughter, I'm no expert but that sounds like HIIT to me.

Tuesday: NROLFW 5B1 and then ran some intervals.
Wednesday: I was really not in the mood to do anything active! Flat out, bratty child style emphatic no. But then I thought about it and was like, really? I'm going to give up on day 5?! That's so lame! So I popped in a bellydance dvd.
Thursday: NROLFW 5A2 and did the intervals again. My legs were practically seized up after the bodyweight matrix so really running was the last thing I wanted to do, but I did it. I was lumbering around like Frankenstein, but I did it. :) I'm hoping getting more blood flowing in the area means I won't be too sore tomorrow.

i finished 5 days in a row of my HIIT training...some days it kills my appetite totally, like today...i also did it today on less than 5 hours of sleep last night :( ughhhh

on another note, i hit another new low today...186.8!!! wonder if it's connected to the HIIT or if i was just due for another little drop
