Default Tough Day

So this morning I woke up with an extremely bad headache that I wasn't able to overcome until late this afternoon. In addition, I have been so lethargic that I haven't wanted to eat. I had to force down breakfast, am snack, lunch, skipped pm snack and only ate 1/2 my dinner. My energy is gone, I am exhausted and appetite is gone. I have no other symptoms so I don't think I am ill. I am taking a ton of vitamins each day so I don't think I am deprived of anything. I don't remember experiencing this before when I did Weight Watchers so is this normal to have these tough days?

I really hope this passes because I am supposed to participate in a 5k next weekend. Thoughts?

Hormonal shift. I go through this. Total slave to my biological clock.

Maybe! I don't know - but for me, as I get on into my 30's my hormones just play havoc with me. I have a helluva time losing weight - I work HARD and lose like a pound a week. My DH on the other hand has lost 70lbs since January!! It's harder now and I think that's why.

Hormones, stupid dumb unnecessary hormone surges, shifts and whatever other word. I'm a pretty "regulated" person so I not to share my homocidal exhaustion with others...

I hope this is a positive thing but I don't like this feeling so I hope it quickly passes!

Yeah, I can agree with mortonpixie. The first time I attempted to lose weight with jogging and Weight Watchers, the weight just fell off of me. I was 29. I'm 33 now, and while I don't feel that much older my metabolism has slowed way down. I attempted WW again back in April but was so discouraged because with all my hard work, I was only losing half a pound a week. This time (I am in my 3rd week of WW), I am having greater success, but I am working out like no other (running in the morning 3 days a week and Insanity in the evening 6 days a week.)

Lol! I was JUST talking to my sister last night about my frustrations. I feel like I work SO HARD for every little oz. I lose. I was PG when I turned 30 (I will be 32 next month) so I assumed it was a having had a baby thing... but I have heard lots of people talk about hitting 30 and how everything changes.

Yep, it was sooooo much easier before 30. (And I had DS #2 right before turning 30, so had 65 pounds to lose around that time....ugh...took 18 months...then gained 30 back during my PhD....double ugh!!!!!)
