Hi All,

Karen- I felt flutters earlier, probably in my teen weeks, but the first good "thumps" as I call them, was at 19 weeks, right after my U/S. I'm just now (the past couple weeks) starting to feel them on a daily basis.

Rabbit- It's kind of a part of you, counting points, isn't it? I still log everything I eat, most of the time, but I have stopped writing down points...but I'm always thinking that way.

Good Morning!!!

Not feeling well with a yucky cough, really bad 5 times a day nose bleeds and fever...I can take Robitussin..WOW...really helps alot!! NOT!!!!IT is also making my sugar a little more elevated, I guess from being sick and not eating as much...Of course, the cough syrup is making Tootie a little wild!!!We have "bonded" all night long!!!I guess a 3lb baby in this belly makes a good commotion!!!!

Karen-I was about 18 or 19 weeks when I felt flutters usually in the bath tub when it was quiet...I wasnt sure about the little tummy tickles until at 20 they got regular and stronger..Now at 30, she is flipping and flopping and even gets the stomach lopsided at times..She had hiccoughs for 10minutes last night and made my belly button pop out with each jump..Too funny!!!

Hello all!!!
Time to hit the pavement!!!!!

Hi RR, sorry to hear you're sick! Too funny about the flips!

Lauren, glad DH has gotten round in a way! countdown time!

Karen, when it's time to wash the curtains again and they come apart completely, just throw them away! It's better than having to look at them all the time. & you have lots of time to look for nice and cheap baby things! Don't get dissappointed so soon.

Rabbit, have you finished the painting? bet it looks wonderful!

Jul, sorry about Micah! Hang in there with the shows and everything.

LA, I'm also waiting for my dreamhouse to get free. I know all about the "I'll call you backs", too (somethings are the same EVERYWHERE), just stay on track, the scale thing could also come because of stress!

This has not been a good few days. Ex-BF who is still living with me (and with whom we had a heavy discussion yesterday), is going out with someone else (but so am I, all things said), but he's doing it on purpose to make me envious (so I am acting like everything is 100%coolotastic, which is not so difficult, as I do see the absurd and funny side of this weird situation). I feel like I am living in a Woody Allen film, where I am the bespectacles klutzy hero tripping over his/her own feet...So I hope I can move really fast so I can get my peace back. Had a nice time with sis, fortunately , so it balances out.

Love to all,

WoodyGirl

Talking hi everyone....

I just found this sight and I think it is just the kick in the butt that I need. I am mom to 3 kids ages 10, 9 & 9. I had lost 135 pounds but I gained about half of it back and I want to get rid of it for good.My main plan is to stop eating any unnecessary fats and stop snacking at night(That is a biggie for me )I am looking forward to getting to know everyone.I have been on it for about 3 days but haven't had any upsets yet.PS: I also own a bakery (as if weight loss wasnt hard enough as it is*grin*

hello. :hypno:

I've had a good couple of days with not being hungry, not sure why, but I like it.

My painter was supposed to come today to redo the bed/bath but her daughter is sick. One of these days I will get this done. Now she won't be here until Friday - when she was supposed to paint the ceilings. So now that has to be put off. Unfortunately she can't do it next week because I will be out of town all week . . .

Karen - too funny about the cat on the scales.

Lauren - yes that counting points does stick in my head!

RR - hope you are feeling better.

Greek - sorry about the ex-bf troubles.

Angie - Welcome! That night time snacking is a problem of mine also! Good luck on your weight loss goals. ~ Oh the bakery would make it really tough! :donut: Oh my!

have a great day.

Hi All,

Well, I've taken what the instructor told us seriously, and started counting my protein. Apparently I'm not having too much trouble getting it in, because the recommended amount is 80-100 grams and I had 126 yesterday! It's amazing how much protein is in stuff. For example:
1 c. of OJ = 2 g.
1 c. skim = 8 g.
1 T. peanut butter = 4 g.
1 c. cottage cheese - 24 g.!!
6 oz. FF yogurt = 5 g.
1 c. pasta - 6 g.
1/4 c. ricotta = 8 g.
3 oz. pork - 21 g.!!
donut (like a powdered one) = 5 g.

I feel like this really gave me the kick I needed to pay attention to what I'm eating. Kind of like when I first joined WW going on 4 yrs. ago! We have to write everything down, with the protein grams everyday and turn it in to her every week! So there's accountability. Even 1 c. of icecream has 6 grams of protein!!

Rabbit- Bummer about the painting.

Angie- Welcome!!

GG- Good luck with the ex-bf issue.

RR- Bummer, hope you're feeling better soon. Too funny about the belly button though.

I can't believe it's almost 12:30 already!! Where did the AM go?! Have a great day all!

Hello All,

I'm procrastinating. I don't want to go grocery shopping I've made out the menu and the shopping list, now I just need to go to the store, instead I'm on the computer. I had a little bit of a stomach thing on Monday, so I came home from work early and laid on the couch all afternoon, then made pork chops under stuffing, w/mushroom soup for dinner. Not real WW but a giant comfort food. K's working on the furnace this afternoon, the blower fan decided to sieze up this morning, it's been making noise since we bought the house, but aparently this year it's worse. Hopefully he can fix it and we don't need to buy a new motor .

RR - Hope you feel better. Too funny about the hiccups.

Rabbit - Sorry about the painter. Good luck staying OP while out of town.

LBH - glad the mw things working out for you and that DH is coming around.

Jule - Sorry about your freinds. It's so hard when young/er people die or are terminal.

Karen - You crack me up. I'd go with the different colored windows, and lots of brights, but that's me

GG - Yellow and grey clouds Good luck with the ex-BF situation and finding a new place.

LA - Good luck on the house hunting. People can be so rude sometimes.

Angie - Welcome .

Well guess I should get busy. Have a great day all.

Lauren - I must have missed this about your counting protein grams. Why does she have you doing this? Is that the only thing you need to count? Curious here. (note - I've been working on balancing the carb/protein thing).

Tech - thanks for the good luck wishes - I am sure to need them.

afternoon everyone!

still no change on the housing situation. the woman who decided not to give me the house i applied for last week called and said she decided to go with a family thinking they'd be a better long-term tenant. so first i'm discriminated against becaues i have a dog. now because i don't have a husband and/or kids. what's next??

to all the sickies -- i hope you're all feeling better!!

to the pre-mommies -- i hope everything's going well. i know you're getting close!

GG -- good luck to you too. at least i'm only living with my parents. i'd be going nuts if my ex-bf was living with me

angie -- welcome!

wow lauren, i don't get anywhere near 100g protien for the day. i ran a report on fitday and i get about 25% of my calories from protein. of course i haven't been logging as religiously as i did before i moved. it thinks my avg caloric intake is 700 cal since i can't really add dinners now since i don't really know what i'm eating. but mom is very health conscious so i know it's not bad

ok back to work for me. hope you're all having a great day!

Lauren: I hope I don't have to keep track of all that when it's my turn for childbirth classes. I had a hard enough time journaling!!

Angie: Welcome to the group. Wow, a bakery huh......that would make dieting hard. I love almost everything bakery!!

Rabbit: Sorry about the painter. Hope things work out for when you get back.

Tech: Did ya make it to the grocery store?

OK, the kids are coming back for more tutoring tonight so I gotta go get ready. Hope you all have a wonderful evening.

Hi girls,

thanx for the support! I'm kinda getting used to it slowly, and anyway, am looking forward to getting a place on my own again. IYesterday night, when on my way to my hockey (field) game and in a hurry, I hit someone trying to unpark (dead angle...), unhooked my bumper and dented his right from door (new BMW, oops) fortunately, he was very nice about it, and I'm covered anyway. The game made it up, kind of, we won 3-0. If we can keep this up, we could become national champions 3 times in a row! That would be so cool ! The team is made up with girls and women anything from 15 to 50 (not kidding), and lots of fun! So I went home feeling slightly better, and dropped dead in bed.
AND stayed op

This for today,

& Welcome Angie!

Hi All,

Man, it is getting harder and harder to get up in the mornings, now that it's dark out when I need to get up. So I'm dragging myself up at 7:15 when DH is leaving, and then lazing around until 7:45 before I get into the shower!! Geez, no wonder I never make it to work on time!! Good thing no one's watching... :sneaky:

GG- Ouch, on the car...glad the guy was nice about it.

RR- Glad you're feeling a little better. Hey, you know those white stockings, Tens, I think they're called, that they put on old people in the hospital? Would they help control the swelling? I thought maybe just knee highs would help, but it seems to make it just as bad. It's very annoying to have such huge ankles!! It's actually more on the left side than the right. LOL, a boy huh? Same as my mom thinking it's a girl ever since I told her it was a boy!! We'd have to trade clothes!!

Karen- I love lazy days like that. I had half days Monday and Tuesday this week, and I thought to myself, gee, I could get used to only working a half day.

LA- Is Fitday free? Maybe I should check that out, if I can run reports like that and all. I'm sure you're getting what you need, if your mom's a good cook! I made spinach lasagna Sunday night and the instructor said that's basically a perfect meal, because I've got everything in it I need, and it's good in protein. I didn't count how much, because that was technically last week, before she told us to.

Rabbit- The instructor was telling us how the protein helps regulate your blood sugars, and that's why we should have a lot of it. I'm sure there was more to it than I'm remembering right now. She said you don't get that 3:00 slump if you eat enough protein. Like, for a snack, have an apple w/pb...bad example, I just realized, since you don't like pb....or cheese and crackers. Just mix your carbs with protein. Like I've been having a small can of peaches with a cup of cottage cheese lately. It's yummy, and very high in protein.

Tech- Hope you made it to the store, and K got the furnace fixed. Wouldn't that just suck to have to fix that right before winter!

Have a great day all!

Hello Everyone,

Quick reply, because I was on line paying bills. I didn't make it to the store yesterday, went outside and started pulling up the summer bulbs I had planted in a flower box and then planted the flowers my mom had split off of hers (Irises and Mums). By the time we finished it was 7:00 . So we grabbed leftovers from the freezer and had that. Now I really need to go today. I work the next 2 days and we're getting low on food!!

Anyway, I was only over 1 pt for yesterday, which is better than I've been for a week. So I'm hoping I'm getting back on track.

GG - Sorry about the car. Congrats on the game .

RR - You are one busy lady I can't imagine all that and I'm not 6 mos pg!!

LA - Continued good luck on the house search, I know it .

LBH - Sounds like the diet they put me on when I was diagnosed as hypoglysemic (sp) in college. I've discovered it's worse when I'm stressed (ie college) and I need to go back to it. Apples and PB are one of my favorite pm snacks.

Well need to get cracking. I've got church youthgroup this afternoon and need to get everything done before then.

Have a great day everyone!
