Unhappy Help! I don't want to give up already

Hi Everyone! I am on day 7 of MRC. I feel like I could scream! I lost 3.5 pounds the first weigh in (after 2 days) and not another pound since. I have not cheated, I have exercised 3 times and I feel like I am so bloated! I drink approximately 80 oz. of water a day. Has anyone else experienced this? I have 23.5 pounds to lose and this is why I came here. I can't get this off for whatever reason and have heard of the great success stories. I just want someone to tell me they have been where I am and it gets better!

Don't give up! I always lose the most weight on a diet at first and it's water weight. I would definitely give it more time. Good luck with your goals.

Don't worry, just stick to what you are doing and the pounds will eventually start dropping off!
Good luck, you can definintly do it!

Hang in there!

I always try to remind myself that the days are going to pass by, and that they sometimes seemed kinda long even before I decided to change my way of eating/exercising. And if the days are going to pass anyway, I may as well make them count for something... instead of letting a few more months pass by, like maybe letting winter roll around and me going, "Wow, if I'd only stuck to my program I'd be thin now instead of wearing sweaters to hide my fat." Is there something tangible you can put before you on a constant basis, to sort of help you keep your eyes on the prize when you start to get down? It could be a picture of you at a previous weight, a pair of jeans, a brochure for a trip you'd like to take, etc.

Also! Reading the goal and mini-goal section here is totally inspiring! There are some really successful people on this forum!

to the groups Stephanie!

If you've lost 3.5 pounds in the first week, then congratulations! That's 3.5 pounds you don't have to lose!

I can't offer any other advice unless we know what you're eating and how much you're exercising. Weight loss depends on calories in/calories out. If you're consuming too few calories and exercising through the roof, then you won't lose anything (your body stores the few calories you do eat).

Water retention is all I can say. Don't quit! I've been at the " oh if only I hadn't quit my diet then now I would...". This time I won't quit and if my body retains water then so be it. I'm having the same problem right now and feel so bloated but I didn't eat too many calories so it MUST be water.
