I know that some of you have had this issue. My chest region is too large to do the exercises with bounce in it without being VERY uncomfortable. I was thinking maybe 2 sports bras? Anyone have any tips on this issue? Can't wait to lose some of this!!!!! Luckily, on me , it is one of the first places I lose.
I use a sports bra from Movingcomfort.com The one I have is the Maia bra, but the Fiona is supposed to be good as well. I haven't tried an Enell bra, but they're highly recommended by a number of ladies on this site.
This may sound a little crazy, but what helps me is wearing my regular bra under my sports bra....this combo holds my girls together really nice & tight! LOL
This is related to your query, but not eactly on topic.
I've wondered what the proper fit for a sports bra is. Because I was jouncy sometimes until I got one with a very tight band that really squished me. I had a mono-boob, like a Gibson girl, but flatter. And then they didn't move when I moved. At all. Not a quiver, not a tremor. Not even when I breathed. Of course, breathing was also difficult. But I had been successfully immobilized.
It occurred to me that when I buy a real bra, I'm quite careful about the fit & will endure a professional poking me in the privacy of a dressing room stall, to make sure I get it right. A real bra represents an investment. But sports bras are something I buy off the rack, and try to get inexpensively from TJ Maxx or Sports Authority clearance, so I've never had the benefit of a professional's advice.

I've got the ladies under control, my issue is my belly bouncing around when I want to run...it literally is so huge it flaps up and down in a really really unflattering and painful way. I've tried everything, including spanx and it doesn't help. I've given up on running all together because of it. any suggestions on this one are welcome.
I read in a womens health mag about this issue and forgot the name brand it suggested, but I do remember it zippered in the front, if that helps.
As a side note, I thought you were talking about not being able to jump. I've lost my ability to jump and got excited because I was like "someone else with my issue!" I guess my mind wasn't all there.
I must be the only one here with swollen mosquito bites rather than juicy juicy mangos (I'm barely a C cup on one side and a small-ish B on the other). Floppage isn't a huge problem; the twins are happy enough where they are.
I have the uniboob problem with my sports bras, but it honestly doesn't bother me. The guys at the gym shouldn't be looking anyway.
Mango: I had the belly-flopping problem too. What kind of pants/shorts are you wearing to the gym? I found that when I wore looser shorts, I could "tuck" my belly into them by pulling them higher and then tighter; the pain lessened somewhat until I lost a little more weight. But yes, it was dang embarrassing when I was taking step class.
I totally agree with sockmonkey. I've found that during TOM when the girls are just out of control, I wear my regular bra underneath my sports bra and those babys are locked in place.
I have my "running bra" that I use for high impact and just off the rack stuff for the rest (ellipticals, etc.). Unfortunately, I bought it so long ago, that the size has worn off the tag as well as the brand...what's really unfortunate is that not only is it really wearing out, now it's getting too big, so doesn't "control" as well as it used to. I'm smaller now, so doesn't hurt as much, but would love control back. I've very picky about bras, so I really hate to buy them because I rarely like what I buy...that's why I hang onto them so long...If I can't get the same brand/style, I end up buying lots of stuff I don't end up wearing...
I'm going to go look at some of the brands suggested and try to make another investment in motion control...
For most women, the sports bra is the most important piece of equipment they buy. However, many women still aren't getting what they need out of their bra. This becomes especially problematic for women with large breasts. For some women, Enell sports bras have become the solution.
Bras seem to come in all the wrong sizes, whether you are very big breasted or not. Enell has fixed this problem, by having an easy-to-use size chart and more sizes than a normal bra. They have bras that fit women from 32C - 50DDD. However, they also will make custom bras! If there isn't a bra your size, they'll make you one.
Enell bras are the best support I have ever seen in bras. There is little-to-no motion at all, even during running or jumping. Through use of both compression and encapsulation, Enell bras are as close as you can come to leaving your chest at home.
There are special instructions for putting it on, though it really doesn't take anymore time and is a lot easier to remove than your average sweaty sports bra. (It uses hooks and eyes, instead of the over-the-head method.) It also feels a little small when you put it on, but adjusts to your size and this is probably what really gives you the added support.
Enell bras are a little odd feeling at first, but after several runs, you start to appreciate the difference. I often forget about having it on at all (because I'm not feeling the normal movement), so I wouldn't say the initial oddness is a problem.
I can move around with out it sliding or chafing. There also are no dig marks on my shoulder after my runs with this bra. I do get dig marks from the chest band though.
More importantly, the Enell bra doesn't restrict my breathing, just the bounce.
Yes, what Samantha said. Enell bras are the best. You will not bounce at all if you buy one that fits properly. My suggestion is to find a retailer that sells them, where you can go and try them on. Because what the chart told me I needed and what fit in the store were 2 completely different things.
