Default New to this crowd..
I was in denial... but I am now 30! So it's time to accept it and move on.. and into this group!

A little about me? I just moved halfway across the country with my bf of 10 years, we moved here for a career opportunity for him, and I have family here so it's been a pretty good move. Although come back to me on this in 1-2 months when winter has hit - we moved from Vancouver where it's very mild to Winnipeg where its very cold! I am taking this opportunity (I am working less, not willingly but trying to be positive!) to give it back to myself, and get this weight off! I have lost 14 pounds so far, with *just* 91 pounds to go!

I look forward to getting to know you all!

hey girl, I just turned 30 too in July. But ya know I wouldnt go back to being 20, this is more fun! Just wanted to say hi, you'll love it here. These girls are amazing and inspiring and can always bring you out a funk. Good luck and see ya around

Hi SwimGirl! I'm 31 and had the same sense of denial... I think we all go through it Winnipeg *is* cold! I visited there 2 years ago in, I think, December for work. My first impression was the cab ride from the airport to the hotel... I dont think the cab driver ever *really* stopped at any red lights or stop signs, we just seemed slide into place because all of the roads were covered in snow... a little scary at first for sure!

Thanks gals for all the replies!

I definitely had next to nothing in common with 20-somethings, so hopefully I fit in here And as long I'm not the only one in denial.. heh

lynnyloo - I've noticed that the cab drivers are terrible, one almost ran me over the other day! Another one pulled over, so I went around, and he pulled out forcing me into oncoming traffic. This city just hasn't mastered the idea of driving!
