morning ladies, I went to the fair again last night and did really well with food choices. FIL got some deep fried halibut and fries, etc. for the kids and I only snacked a little on them. I was proud of myself and had a salad when I got home. I am down another pound today, hopefully I can keep this up and make my goal, I go back to work in 1 week! I am definitely getting ready to go back, probably means this is the right occupation for me. My mom bought us half a pig, so I am going to go cut it up and package it tonight...never done that before, we'll see how it goes I am going to do it with my brother, so I feel a little more confident knowing he will be there to make sure I don't do something totally ridiculous.

Kerry, Great job on the loss, 4 lbs. in one week is AWESOME!

Kori, your story made me laugh, unfortunately I have NO butt whatsoever, darn genetics...enjoy those compliments, store them up for a bad day!

Christina, when does dominic's school start?

Karen, sounds like things are going really well! enjoy your date with DH.

Miltrez, enjoy those last days before your DS goes to school. I think it is going to be so much harder on me than my DS when he starts in a couple years.

Marianne, sorry about your botched workout yesterday, I usually try to time mine during nap time, when DD wakes up in the middle I get really frustrated. Is your LO teething right now?

Monica, Good luck getting a workout in, it is soooooo hard with LO's!!! I am nightweaning my DD right now and it has really helped me get more sleep at night and have more energy during the day. She has been consistently sleeping 4-5 hour stretches for a few days now, WAY better than being up every 2 hours!!

Valerie, Joan, Pam, GG, Rikki, and everyone else, have a good wednesday...may it be full of

Afternoon Ladies:

Just a quick stop in to say HELLO! Back from vacation and well... am bogged down with now re-straightening things from the After-Vacation-Mess. Going to get me some lunch (ACK no food in this house) then clean up a bit. No gym for me today, as I am recovering form a tummy bug. Blech.
Try and catch you all later on this evening...

Hi All!

I'm stuck hom with a sick kid today. DH stayed home with him yesterday, but had to go in today, so I had to stay home. There's a lot going on at work though...hopefully things smooth out.

KarenK - I live in Canada and it doesn't appear that I get FitTV. I did go and look at the On Demand fitness stuff and there are a few things there I wouldn't mind trying. Thanks for the idea!

Christina - Line dancing sounds like fun! Not really my thing either but I really enjoy dancing (although I'm horrible at it!) so I'd be willing to try it.

Toni - I don't really know what's up with my son, he might be teething but he hasn't let me get a good look in his mouth. He's sleeping fine at night though and he has a bit of a cold so maybe he just wasn't feeling well. Counting on getting things done during nap time can be hard sometimes!

PearFreak - where did you go on your vacation? I hope you're feeling better!

Lauren - I hope your son is feeling better!

Well, I managed to get out for a walk with the two kids in the jogging stroller. We ended up going almost 3 miles at a pretty good pace, so I'm feeling good about that.

Pear, hope you are feeling better, and able to get some things done around the house!

Lauren, hope little on eis feeling better soon. Are you still liking the job?

guppy, three miles is excellent!! And pushing the kiddos makes it even more challenging. WTG!!

Karen, congrats to DH for getting a job. Also, to you for upping your activity. I saw batman, a few weeks ago. I thought it was okay, SH agreed with you...he said it stunk. He liked the older ones better.

hi everyone!

Lauren how is your mom doing? sorry you were stuck at home

Karen I am very happy for you and your family, it is always good when DH can go back to work, sorry about the benefit package, but like you said at least he has a job, this economy is terrible.

Pam you are amazing, you got so much done in the day! that is great! I am glad you enjoyed the class.

GG ONE more day, hang in there girl, you really deserve the vacation. I am so jealous!

Pear welcome back, were did you go?

guppy I love to see moms walking with their kids in the strollers. There are several groups around here that meet different times of the day with their strollers and they all look like they are having a good time. Do you belong to any group like that?

Joan I am so surprised Wall-E was boring, I couldn't imagine the two words "boring" and "Pixtar" in the same sentence. I did hear it was a little on the political side, was it?

HI Kari teenagers can be funny.

Miltrez it sound like the perfect situation w/the job, I hope it works out! keep us posted!

I have been very busy this last couple of day, DH had the day off today and he got me out of bed really early so we could go together to drop off DS at camp and spend the day together after that, it was a nice day. We ran a few errands, we are looking for a new computer, I want a laptop so we were looking at the different options and OH Boy am I confused I want an Apple laptop and he wants me to get a Dell, he will used the laptop very seldom but when he does he needs to be able to access a site for work that he has to have IE on it and so that makes it kind of difficult. I really like the idea of the Apple cause there is no much need of firewalls and that kind of thing as HP/PC needs, I have not clue what am I going to get, I need to get something in the next couple of days thought, any advise on one or the other? All my software is PC I do have an iPod which would be great w/the Apple and I have a blackberry which I am not sure it would be too good with Apple. I am going to try to goto their store tomorrow and get more information on it.
I am super tired I am going to bed now and it is not even 9 PM
