New to 3FC but NOT to trying to lose weight
Hi all. I have been lurking for a bit. I am trying to lose about 120 lbs. before the big 40 (an age I look forward to BTW) which will come towards the end of next year.
I started using Alli about 2 weeks ago -- really as a behavioral tool. I have not had any of those much discussed side effects because it keeps me honest. Otherwise, I follow the plan from You on Diet. I count count count those calories, much to the dismay of my children -- who get annoyed with me being on the computer so much -- tracking my food. I also do the cross-trainer (HIIT) 3-5 days a week and walk the other days. I add 3 days of resistance as well.
I chose to use Alli because I was at my wits end. I finished nursing my youngest this summer and the weight has stagnated since then. At the same time, I struggle to control my eating in social situations. The Alli has eradicated that problem for me because I am so afraid of blanking in my pants.
Anyway, that is me. I appreciate having a place to come for support.
