Good Morning everyone

Well I am over the food poisoning. I actually had to close my doors for daycare yesterday and boy I was sick, We ate at the Outback for mothers day and with in 1 hr after eating I was sick and so was my daughter.

My DH has chicken pox. Yeah was he suprised. He really didn't need to go to the doc I told him what he had. He is like man your pretty darn smart. Duh I am a mom.

Hey if you got to World market they have alot of food for weight watchers and diet food. You might want to check it out. and organic.
My eating has sucked but I am getting out of that trend I was doing so well at the first of the year for months and now blahhhhhhh. So It is back to nailing it.

have a great one

MOrnin' All,

Sheila, what's the World market?? Sorry you got sick, hope you're feeling better! And hope DH didn't get too bad a case...never had it as a kid??

RX, Come on, it's pretty much summer, get out of the blahs!!

Michelle, sorry MD sucked.

GG, Hope you find a great place! Sorry you have to get rid of the horse to do it though.

GOtta go get ready for work. Lady from Early Intervention will be here at 9 to have me sign papers, then I gotta run to work. They were fine with me coming in late today though...totally understood. BTW, first day went great...really nice company.

Have a great day all!

morning all. Well we did start seeing more possible houses with the slight increase in cost. So that is a good sign. We are going back at the end of the month to look at more places. Yes it sort of sucks that i have to give up the pony....but i think sometimes in life you reach crossroads where you realize that its one thing or another. And it may work out where at least my sis will keep him and then i will be able to see him. As for eating....don't ask..its been bad. I didn't weigh myself last week for fear. So tomorrow i'm going to force myself on the scale. I'm afraid...but i think it will give me motivation to get back to it. I also went grocery shopping last night...and picked up all healthy stuff for the week. So that should help. now i'm off to walk the dog...that should also help me feel motivated.

Sheila - sorry to hear about the food posioning. That's got to suck!
hey there LBH and everyone else.....see ya laters

Sheila: hope you're feeling better! That's got to be horrible having chicken pox as an adult. I was 14 when I got them and it was pretty bad then!

I'm refusing to move my ticker again....I have been eating ice cream all weekend and am at 153 right now! I don't see how it is possible to gain 3 lbs in 3 days! My calories were still definately below 2000 even with the ice cream!

Anyway.....it really sucks.

michilin...do you weigh daily??????? if you do i would highly recommend stopping that. First and foremost it usually creates a very obsessive nature. In addition, as you have seen, you weight will fluctuate depending on what foods you are eating. I think its healthier if you put the scale away and weigh yourself the same day/time. It really helped me years ago..i was getting so upset watching my weight change daily that i just pretty much gave up. then finally i put the scale away and weighed weekly. I know its tempting...but its much much better for your mental health to weigh weekly. Good luck.

I'm laughing while reading the above posts... "suck" must be the word of the day! Eating sucked, MD sucked, sickness sucked... cracks me up. Got up again this morning to exercise. I feel so much better because of it!!! It's not easy to get my butt out of bed but knowing that if I don't, my day really will SUCK, is what is motivating me to get up and moving. Now if I could just conquer the eating thing...

Sheila ~ it's good to have you back. We missed you last week! I'm sorry to hear about your getting food poisoning but especially hate to hear that your daughter got it as well. That is the last thing that poor little girlie needs...

Lauren~ World Market is a store (a really awesome store!). Kind of like a huge Pier One with lots of good wine:-). Hey, this is great news that this job is working out so well. Hope that it becomes a permanent thing. What ever happened with the house(s) and dear ole' FIL coming thru for you?

GG ~ You sound like you're more focused today. Everyone has set-backs. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on. Giving up the pony has to be a hard decision but sounds like it's a wise one at this point in your life. Your DH is a lucky man to have you in his life...

michelin! get off of the scale! Those things always make me cry:-). Seriously, I do agree with GG as weight fluxuates (sp?) so much; especially during the warm months. You'll drive yourself crazy if you weigh yourself too often.

Roo ... how are your this morning? Have you considered going to see a doctor? I know that you probably don't want to consider medicine (who does?) but it might really give you a lift that you're just not able to achieve on your own...? I don't like medicine and come from a family that is *totally* against it. Not because of religious beliefs, they've just been blessed with a long line of really good genes. There are some times though when it just makes sense to go see a doctor. Living each day feeling so yucky and blah really has to SUCK;-). Hang in there Rooster Man...

Time for me to pack up my preschooler and head off to a local park. Her class is meeting there today. Gorgeous weather here. Happy Tuesday all ~ Joan

Good morning! We are doing laundry and watching Charlote's Web today. We are going to TX on Saturday to visit my family and I'm getting stuff ready. DH will be away tomorrow, Thur and most of Fri. I will be doing most of the packing alone. Ugh. Also, I made my GM and Mother little mini scrapbooks for Mother's Day and they never got them. I will have to work in a visit to the scrapbook store and time to redo them before we leave. Ugh again!

I hope everyone is having a great day! Gotta run.

Good Morning All;
Now I'm sitting here trying to think of a way to work the word of the day into this little post.
We're at the end run to final exams for the kids, and everyone is so looking forward to summer. I have been off my plan of eating well and being active for about two weeks but sometimes a break is nice. Haha. Cycled to work today and SO and I went for a long bikeride last night. Won't make it to the gym today but there's always tomorrow.
I've been wondering lately what my goal weight is. I have 140 written down but I rarely weigh myself. I've no idea what I weigh right now. I'm a size 12. So I've been thinking in terms of clothing size. Maybe I'll go size by size. Aiming for a size 10? Sounds attainable.
Anyways I have to go and plan for Pd. 3. Which sucks. Should've planned yesterday.
Everyone have a great day!

Hi girls,
IŽll continue with things that suck.......My computer I am at this point when you try to avoid the whole internet but where you learn that you are addicted I just hate it.
I got a lot of vaccines this morning because of serious travelling planned for next year and I need some coffee and something to eat right now.
Stay healthy. Eat healthy. Hugs, K.

gatorgal: I try to weigh weekly on Monday (probably not the best choice of days--since I am always bad on the weekends), but end up weighing about every other day! You're right...it does become obsessive. I am always trying for that elusive low weight surprise day. If I really want to get depressed, I do the fat percentage on my scale! TOM is coming, but not until next week. Maybe I am bloated already!

Hey all...

GG- Boy it really sucks all the stress you've been under lately. How is GP? It's tough, I know, but hang in there. It always just seems like one more thing on top of all else you've got to handle. Like my mom says, if it doesn't kill you, it will make you stronger. And at least pony will go to a good home, right? Maybe a little bit better knowing he will be well taken care of. Good luck with the house search.

Joan - Hope you got done at the park before the torrential downpour!!!! It was a beautiful day this morning though. I got stuck out in the rain and completely soaked doing my errands. Oh, well. I love the rain. just not the lightning. It scares me. I always duck when I am driving if I see lightning. Like that is going to help!!!!

Sheila - Oh, no. Food poisoning!!! At least you are better now. Hope the earlier part of your day had gone well. Did you let the Outback know?

Lauren - good that the job has started out well. Hope the intervention thing went well

Rooster - Hey if you suck...then I suck too. I know how to eat right, but I just don't do it. I have been eating frozen pizzas (whole thing at one sitting) and fast food for a couple of weeks straight. There are days when I don't drink any water. Just soda. Ugh. I am right with you, and I know how hard it is to battle depression. Been doing it all my life. At least you are still walking!!! You get a for that!! And a for the rest. Hang in there, man. Remeber, your ARE special.

Well, I went this AM for a health screening that my work provided. My cholesterol is down. It never has been high, but now it is really excellent! HOW? I eat like crap (see above) and don't exercise!!! I must be blessed with good genes. My blood pressure still low as usual. Glucose normal. All in all, I would be in excellent health if not for the dang extra person I am carrying around. How come my clothes fit better and loose in some cases, but my weight never goes down (even went up 5lbs but I expected that).?
It must be redistributing in my feet. They get bigger

I know it's sad, but I think I am going to take a nap. My head is starting to hurt again.

Joan: You crack me up!! I think you are right about the suck thing everyone seems to be in that mode. Hey thanks for missing me I sure missed logging in. I look forward to it everyday.

Lauren: World Market is usually next to Linens and Things. another good place to find things is Big Lots. I know sounds crazy but I have found seasonings and other neat things that have been great for my change of life if you want to call it that.

I did let Outback know about it yesterday. Today I had 100.00 gift certificate in the mail.

well girlies I better get I hope you all cheer up.

joan _ LOL so are we going to start a word of the day...lol. And yes you are right..i am more motivated today. I think a good nights sleep helped. I got to sleep in and that made me feel better. I also took my dog for a long 50 minute walk this am..which helped. Then i got motivated and had a yummie healthy breakfast of low fat yogart mixed with a pint of blackberries...yumm. I had a great lunch and haven't had a soda. So i'm definately on an upswing for a multitude of reasons. i am happy with the horse decision and its good to see we have better choices of house for just 10 -20 K more than we were looking for. And as for GP...well it is unfortunate but it s part of growing old. We'll see how he does.
karen - have fun with the family
goddess- hang in there..hope tummy feels better
greenegg- dress size might not be a bad idea
milagro - sorry aobut computer
michilin - could be bloating...but just put that darn scale away lol
fannie - thanks for the words of encouragement. i was very stressed this weekend..but i've always have been a positive thinker. I really believe this move will be great for me and DH. And i think the decisions we made this weekend will be good. I also think it will be awesome to have all the great outdoors available. SO i'm definately on the rebound from all the craziness for now. And feel better today now that i had sleep and am eating and working out. So we'll see. I believe change can be a great thing and am really ready for change. I also believe it is making DH and mine love grow stronger.
