would like to chat...

  • hi all,

    i just signed up on the websited yesterday so i'm still learning the ropes. could someone please tell me what they use this website for the most? is it for the forums? the chat rooms? i'm a bit overwhelmed with all of the links so i'm hoping that someone can explain it to me.

    on a different note, today was day 1 of the transformation. i have to admit that even though i ate better than i do on most days, i still didn't eat how i should have. i think my problem is the amount of carbs i intake. i love bread, crackers, chips...really anything salty and crunchy.

    but the way that i look at it is i've been indulging for the last 30 years, it's about time that i learn some restraint.

  • I don't post often on this site but I do love to read some of the other posts. I also love to look at the Goal and Mini-goal before and after photos. They are very inspirational! I also like to keep track of my weight and personal mini-goal in my signiture (as you can see below) Even though I don't post often, I still feel like it keeps me accountable. The support forum is another one I like to poke around in because many of the things that other people post apply to me and really help.

    Starting out on this new lifestyle was hard for me as well. I hate veggies and fruit and thought I could not live without bread, pasta and ice cream. After just forcing myself to eat some type of veggie with my sandwitch at lunch I now find that I am snacking on carrots. It will all come around and you will feel so much better for doing this for yourself!

  • Hi Nicole! I think most people use this part of the site (the forums) for posting and getting support from others. Even just reading the posts that interest you can be of support. The main 3FC site has a TON of good info also!
