Ok so what part of the day should you weigh yourself? I always weigh first thing in the A.M., before I eat. Is that when you should or does it matter as long as you weigh every day at the same time?

You should weigh at the same time of day in the same kind of clothing (or none at all).
For instance if you weigh yourself in the morning one week, and then the next week you weigh yourself in mid-afternoon, fully clothed and after meals/fluids etc - you will weigh different. Not necessarily gain weight, our weight naturally fluctuates throughout the day. So you need to be consistent about WHEN you weigh for accuracy.
My vote is for in the morning before you eat. Even if you weighed at the same time in the evenings, if you had eaten differently (at a different time, more sodium, more fluids, heavier food, etc.) at all that day, your weight would reflect the difference in that, possibly masking the difference in your weight.
I think you`ll see the lowest number in the morning before you eat, but what is really important is the trend in the numbers, not the actual numbers. So, lets say you weighed AFTER breakfast but you did it every time, you would see the same trend as if you weighed before breakfast everytime. The numbers would just be higher. And .. who really needs that?
Every saturday morning first thing after stumbling to the loo - in the buff.
Thats the only weigh-in I take notice of in any case.
I'll still weigh throughout the week but I don't let it bother me as I know its going to flucuate. This week being a case in point - TOM = up 4 pounds. Bah! I know I haven't eaten 14,000 calories extra so I know damned well that isnt a real fat gain lol.
