This is an excellent technique! I think next time I am stressed I will try doing this. I definitely don't like eating right after brushing my teeth. Thanks!

The biggest craving that I get is sweets. I find it is from deleting them from my diet entirely. Once a week I buy a cadbury bar, the kind that breaks into like 25 squares. I allow myself to have 2 squares a day at the end of the day. It seems to keep me from craving sweets.

I have to agree with Valtrek - I basically cut out refined sugar from my diet - but I also cut out caffeine and most sugar substitutes (eg diet coke, my major accomplishment). I also eat a lot of vegtables and fruits so I am not so hungry during the day. The combination of this has curbed my cravings for the last 3 weeks I have done this. (I also found this really great tea called good earth - spicy and sweet - so good)

I even stop tasting the wonderfully refreshing sip of diet coke when my room mate often opens one (shcrack). (though I remember I did dream about it a few nights ago - filling up a big big red plastic cup of diet coke - realizing it was wrong, but I kept doing it.)

I have also changed my diet a bit more - I only will allow myself to have carbs before sunset. So dinner is always carbless (or low carbs - no bread/pasta/rice/potatoes etc - though maybe a piece of fruit for dessert).

Today though I had a huge craving for taste of lime chips - I don't know why. I was shopping and did buy them - but they are only for the daylight! can't wait for tomorrow (to have my 1 serving!)

I usually don't try to curb the cravings...I just allow myself to have a small amount and then cut calories later in the day on other stuff. Sometimes I end up eating a very low cal dinner because of it, but it's better than making it seem like I'm doing something illegal.
