Marineswife85, I went on orthotricyclin lo about 6 months ago. It's the first time I've been on any kind of hormonal birth control (pill, patch, shot, etc.). The first few weeks I was on it I was up about 6 pounds. I totally freaked out, but it went away after a few weeks. For my first 3 periods on the pill I gained 5 pounds at each one, more than I usually gain for my period, but now I'm down to gaining about 3 lbs at each period, and back to "regular" weight during the rest of the month. I know it's hard to tell you to stay calm because I myself panicked when this happened to me, but it's probably just water weight. A week is not enough time to let your body adjust to the pill. Just keep doing what you're doing and eventually the bloat will go away.

I do agree with what everyone has already said about sodium intake, drinking enough water, eating enough/cutting calories too drastically (your plan to average to about 1400-1500 sounds better to me, but I haven't checked out your fitday to look at your diet any closer).

You are doing great, keep going!

I know all calculators arnt always right. I just said that according to it i should have lost 4lbs. I know it would be highly unlikey for me to loose that kind of weight in a week. What I was upset about was that i had GAINED a lb, and not lost anything.
