I was thinking about where I'd rather be than at school, going to classes right now and figured it'd be an interesting thread.

So...if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?

I would be on a beach somewhere, relaxing and swimming in the water without a care in the world.

Instead of being at home fighting w/my boyfriend. I'd rather be off on vacation in Italy. Ok not good on the waist, but soooo yummy!

On my horse, walking along a peaceful trail in the woods behind my barn.

Instead of being at work/school.. I'd rather be back in July laying out on the deck of the cruise ship.
Mmmm.. sun.

Instead of being at school... I'd rather be at home with my family.

I'm really anticipating the Christmas vacation so I can be home!

I'd rather be living in my own house in the suburbs, married to my BF, with a dog or two, and a job that pays well which I enjoy. And I'd be baking something. Mmmm. Hopefully all of that will be true two years from now (at least we will be married two years from now, unless something goes drastically wrong -- don't know about the rest).

Or I would be hiking in a national park. I really want to go back to Yosemite and hike half dome. I think it would be a great accomplishment for me.

Actually, I would rather be at the gym right now running laps, to be honest. Except my knees have been bugging me.

Oh, I know, I would rather be in a fantasy land where I could eat whatever I wanted and not get fat, and I would subsist entirely on desserts and breakfast. It has been years since I had breakfast sausage. Mmmm, sausage!

Or I would be living on an isolated island where I could hole up with my BF and knit blankets.

Or I would even be back in college, because then all my friends would at least not be scattered across the country.

Man, I could go on forever!

I'd rather be in a huge warm bath full of great smelling bubbles surrounded by 10 candles and the latest issue of Cosmo to read!

I'd rather be at my favorite cafe in Krakow, drinking a raspberry tea with the perfect boy for me!

I'd rather be walking along a trail in the woods with noone around except my dog. I could hear birds and squirrels and the crunching of the fallen leaves under my feet. The trees are all beautiful colors and it's just chilly enough that I'm wearing a sweatshirt. I miss Pennsylvania

i would be back in college on a sunny september day, walking to a class i love with my boyfriend, grabbing a coffee on the way and seeing my friends that live far away now...

Oh man--great thread. I would be skiing with my (long-distance) boyfriend. Distance is so painful!

Instead of sitting at my desk, bored and tired, I'd rather be out sailing the islands with my BF like we've been planning/fantasizing about.

I'd rather be hanging out with my sister and helping her plan her wedding.

I'd rather be visiting my parents, playing in the snow...in Pennsylvania (I miss it too Stacy!).

I'd rather be scuba diving in the Gulf if the water was 10 degrees warmer.

I'd rather be outside pulling muddy fish nets in the bay.

I'd rather be decorating my house for the holidays.

Do you get the impression I'd rather be doing anything besides working at my desk???

Oooh, oooh, I've got another. I'd rather be sleeping too. That would be nice. Or eating a miracle calorie-free pepperoni pizza followed by calorie free tin roof sundae over a brownie? Oh, wait, that's wrong of me.

Instead of getting ready to go to work where I can deal with more strange people, I'd rather be on a cruise going anywhere sunny with my buddy Nathan next to me laughing and catching up.
