No afternoon snack and a lunch with very little protein left me ravenous by about 5 pm, and we don't have much at home to cook with (especially quick), so DH went and got a medium cheese pizza. Not the best of options, BUT I ate 2 servings of veggies before he got there and gulped 8 oz. of water so that I would be more controlled, and I was! Two pieces of cheese pizza, about 450 calories. Not bad at all really, and since my fat intake has been pretty low today, the fat grams didn't throw me off either. So now that I'm no longer hungry and I'm feeling good about choices, I'm going to do some grocery shopping! I'm sure I'll be back later with an evening snack...
Grrr... okay, so the my evening snack turned turned into an eating fest, I won't go into it in too much detail 'cuz I'm against virtual food porn as much as the next guy!

But basically, at the grocery store, I decided to treat myself to one of those little ghirardelli chocolate square things (about 180 cals.) since I was right at 1200 cals. for the day thus far. Then I saw the Reeses cereal, and I walked by, then I walked back!!! Nooooo... that was my downfall, because by that point I was rationalizing that I could use a "high" day and that it would be good for my metabolism, blah, blah, blah... not all entirely untrue, but I should know that I can't treat myself like this without getting out of control... which I did. The chocolate square was consumed, then some cereal with milk, then some low-fat ice cream, then the rest of the leftover pizza... luckily, today is a new day and I've got a gameplan. I've added up the last 5 day's worth of calories and subtracted it from 10,500 (7 days at 1500 cals.) and found out that in order for me to stay at or below that amount, I only have 1538 calories left. Soooo - if I keep my cals. low (below 1300) and burn an extra 500 cals. both today and tomorrow, I'll pretty much even out.
