jennie934, my sister is 5'9" and has the same problem that you and I do. She's skinny as a rail though, so it's easier for her to find things. I don't mind so much. I've been this tall since middle school so I've had a lot of time to figure out where to shop. The major issue is (of course) the excess weight. Because I'm so tall, I carry the extra weight pretty well. It's very hard to shop with my current body shape.
paperclippy, thanks for the tip! I tend to be a tightwad with everything, from clothes to groceries, but I fully intend to splurge when I get to my goal weight on some nice new clothes. I'll check out express, thanks

.
lizzbabe, I miss Lerner. I LOVE their clothes, they're a decent price, and as you just said, their jeans are usually long enough! I can't wait to shop there again.
mccrew, my roommate freshman year at college was 5 feet tall and she had a heck of a time finding jeans. She grew up in Phoenix though, which made it a little easier b/c in Phoenix you can wear shorts/skirts 10 months out of the year! I think it's hard when you're at either end of the spectrum. I'm glad you've found some brands that work for you.
Katia, the gap makes a 38 inch inseam?! That makes me so happy. I've made do with a 36 for years, which will just brush the top of my feet - they're not *really* long enough but at least they've got enough length that I am not quite in highwaters. I have always done men's jeans to get a 38 inch inseam so that they give me that nice "all legs" look, especially if I wear shoes with heels. Thanks for the tip!
