I think I'm going fishing with my brother and Drew so we'll hopefully be bbq'ing some of the king salmon that we catch. Other than that I think I'll have a pretty relaxed holiday eating wise since we'll be pretty active, hiking and such! Also, at ww last night we talked about "mental rehersing" anybody try or use it? When I was in college playing volleyball we did alittle but I've never tried it for eating or exercising. The leader brought it up because of the holiday, I may try it if I decide to have a beer or mix drink so I don't totally blow it.

We are going to my cousin's high school graduation party and apparently they are having a "crawfish boil". Since I don't like to eat crustacean-type food I think I'll save some calories there haha. Hopefully there will be other healthy options. Usually when I visit I go running each morning because there is a great path running by their home.

Well, our weather here in Providence has been nas-tay, and it's supposed to be unpleasant this weekend too. Rainy, windy, and right now it's only in the low 40's temperature-wise. So much for the unofficial beginning of summer! Chances are I'll be sitting at home doing nothing Memorial Day because it will be too icky outside to do anything else. Maybe I'll go to the mall!

Jamie, what is "mental rehearsing"? I've never heard of it.

I never really have trouble with barbeques when I'm throwing them, (I put a couple of 97% fat free hot dogs and some vegetable kabobs in teriyaki sauce on the grill and some Wow chips in a bowl and I'm set), but when I go to other peoples' houses for parties... erggg. Definitely a sticky situation.

On Sunday I'm going to my boyfriend's graduation party (mine is the following weekend). I really do want to be good, especially because I have family flying in for my graduation whom I have not seen in a long, loooong time (I think I was 7 or so last time I saw one of my uncles who is coming), and so I'd like to look and feel my best!

Hi all --

I've been MIA for a while. Sorry about that!

I'm going back on the Beach for Memorial day. Since I have no real plans (they fell through) my HB and I are going to go for it and be SB friendly. Also going to the gym and signing her up so that our 5 days off will be filled with nothing but exercise and healthy eating. No sabotaging or using the holiday as an excuse, you know?

I may venture with her to a beach in DE too...who knows. That would mean getting into a bathing suit!

We'll also be planning our "wedding"!!!!

Happy Hump Day!

It is so great to hear what everyone has planned, keep posting away.

I am going to be moving into a new apt. complex, so I will be getting in quite a workout, but hope to spend Monday lounging at the pool, I just love to lay out in the sun and then take a cool dip in the pool. I was told by my leasing agent that my new complex is full of young students, so the pool is going to be rowdy, and that they rent marguarita machines and get kegs....I hope it isn't like that all the time!

My high school gang is having a get-together (before we all move away, one to Germany, one to Wales, one to San Diego, me to Idaho) - only a few of us are sticking around! Yikes! Hoping for some BBQ fun - the weather here is awesome - 80s today!

I'm not doing much. We have bootcamp Monday morning so we decided to stay in town. It's supposed to be really nice though. We're taking my BF's daughter to six flags on Saturday so that should be fun. Those are our only plans so far.

Hey, guys. Hope you all have a fun Memorial Day weekend!

No real plans here. I'm sure I'll end up at the beach at some point(s). Of course, it's always packed on holiday weekends, but I feel like I'm missing out if I'm not there. Other than that, I'm sure I'll go to a baseball game or two and maybe get some shopping in, too.

I'm going camping & fishing with husband, sister and some friends. I will be so happy to get up in the mountains and away from this friggin' HEAT . It is 105 degrees out today , so any temp below 95 would be welcome . I hope I do ok on food. It is hard enough for me to be good on the weekends while I'm IN town. I'll be sure to stock up on handy veggies Everyone be safe and have a GREAT holiday!!

Paperclippy- mental rehersing is kinda like visualization...which to me means that I imagine a situation and plan/practice what it is I'll say and do when particular temptations or whatever arises. Our leader wanted us to try and get as detailed as possible in our little mental movies down to what we would be wearing, who would be around, how we would be feeling about ourselves and the situation. I'm not really sold on the whole thing yet, it was a lot easier for me to practice mental rehersing while I was playing volleyball, because v-ball was something tangible to me. Food on the other hand is very untangible and quite a challenge. Anyways, I guess I'll give it a try and see how it plays out!
