Hi and congradulations on losing 15 pounds in 3 weeks. I have never tried Jenny Craig but I am going to look into it. I really need to lose about 20 pounds in 2 months and its sounds like a good idea to get on Jenny Craig. I am the type of person who needs something strict or if not I just tend to slack off. How much does it run you a month? I wanted to try this acupunture diet but it costs $120 a month. So I am trying to find something at a reasonable price.
    Thanks,
    Carmen

  • For me, a modified low carb is definitely working. I actually wanted to say that I was on Jenny Craig for a year and actually I paid to be the "lifetime" member and I regret it as I'll never go back. I know a lot of people have lost weight on Jenny Craig and so you may find some people with positive input, this is just my opinion. I think Jenny Craig is an OK program if you have up to 30 lbs to lose, but more than that, I don't think it is well suited. I personally got sick of the food because you have it over and over and over again. I did go there at my highest weight (364) and I really needed something and so I chose that. I did lose 30 lbs (and then had a plateau that I couldn't break after 8 months) and then after I went off the program, I gained 20 lbs back.

Right now, I'm doing the South Beach Diet, after losing 30 lbs doing my own low carb (South Beach influenced) program. I do recognize there are issues with modifying a diet without really following it, so that is one reason I started to follow it as best as I can.
