Question Are you an apple or a pear?

I thought this would be a fun one!

Are you an apple, a pear, or something in between?
What do you like, and dislike, about your body shape?

I am DEFINITELY a pear, an exaggerated pear, even. I know, I know, it's great for heart health, but fitting into pants can be TOUGH! The up side is that my waist is naturally small & I lose weight in the stomach first. I feel I have a feminine, womanly shape. However, like I said, pants/shorts/skirts/anything to fit my bottom half, is always a struggle.

Now it's ya'lls turn! Let's have fun with this one!

Jen

Great question Jen.

At my highest weight I thought I was an apple, but now that I've lost weight my figure is definitely an hourglass. When I lose more weight I'm sure it will be more distinctive.

Yes, fun question, Jen! I'm definitely a pear. I'm like you... I struggle with getting pants on over my hips, but then they are big around my waist. I wish I could pick where I would lose weight -- the majority of it would come off of my hips and thighs. I guess that's being a little too picky, though.

Another place I'd really like to lose some weight is my face. I know that sounds funny, but I seem to gain weight there easily. I lost some weight, so my face looks better, but it still kind of reminds me of a pumpkin!

Yikes! I just realized you all probably have a scary image of me in your heads now -- a pumpkin head with big hips. I'm kind of scared now, too.

Take care,
Jina

You girls make me laugh! By the way, you are all doing SO very well - you are all wonderful losers!

I am definitely an apple right now, but I think I may be more of an upside down triangle when I am at a healthy weight. I have wide shoulders and chest/back and I gain weight up top (from my shoulders to my bum). My belly is big, jolly and round right now - I have that lovely pouch that may shrink but never really goes away. My hips, butt and thighs tend to stay relatively small no matter what size I am, so that makes me look REALLY funny when I'm heavy. I have problems finding pants/skirts that fit because my waist is SO big and my hips/butt are smaller.

So far I feel like I have lost most of my weight in my face, legs and bum. I lost a little in my belly, but most people can tell I am losing by my face. I suppose that is nice, but I really wish I could get rid of my pouch!!!

I started out as a pear. However, years of gaining and losing weight have transformed the way my body stores fat...now my arms and stomach gain just as much as my legs and hips. My ***, somehow, stays the same size no matter what I weigh. But it's frustrating, because I used to be able to rely on my upper body for some confidence, but now it's just as vulnerable to feeling fat as the rest of me. On the other hand, that means that I will get satisfaction from all over when I do start losing weight (and I will!)

Hourglass...forsure... used to be more distinctive, but is still there... I love it and hate it at the same time. The pants are too small in the butt and thighs and huge inthe waist. Shirts have to fit snug to show off the waist but the chest is big enough that I feel uncomfortable there too...

Definitly an hourglass. When I get my waist defined (oh, well it ever be that way again?), I can't show it very well because I have to get shirts big enough to fit my chest and pants and skirts to fit my hips instead of my waist. I can forget dresses, I always seem to look pregnant even if I have no stomach. I wish they would make clothes to fit an hourglass shape.

Default I'm an apple

I think I'm an apple...only because I'm having a hard time burning that fat there, and my waist isn't all that small. What I like about it is that I have practically no cellulite on butt and thighs because it takes ALOT for them to get big.....um...but that's about it. LOL. I want to get rid of my apple!
