Thank you, Driven! You've come a long way yourself! Great job! :)

As for what I'm doing, I mainly focus on my eating habits. I loosely follow Jorge Cruise's belly fat cure, which focuses on low sugar and limited carb intake. (The rule is no more than 15g of sugar and 6 servings of carbs a day.) I try to go even less on the carbs, without watching *too* much on the calorie count...although I do keep it in mind.

For exercise, I just try to do some form of movement of a minimum of 30 minutes five times a week. I'm generally pretty lazy, so it's easier to focus on eating right than being a TON more active.

How are you choosing to lose weight? There are just so many differing methods out there!

skittlesfirehawk 01-23-2015 10:15 AM

im going to start doing water aerobics again becuase it looks like running it out for now.

I originally got to goal by doing weight watchers. Lost 75 lbs.

Last year I had some health concerns and did some research and decided I should try gluten-free. Some of my health concerns, like rash and another undiagnosed strange occurrence, pretty much stopped. So I've been sticking with it. One day I did decide to have gluten purposely, it was a big mistake. I looked pregnant from bloat, had a horrible rash, and I'm just do done.

So right now, I'm just doing my gluten-free lifestyle, just watching more closely. I don't really miss the gluten in my diet. I'm not a sweets person and not a fan of grease.

I thought about low carb, just don't seem to have the will power at the moment.

I think I've misunderstood the last part of your post. What's running it out?

I've never tried water aerobics, I don't even like to look at myself in a bathing suit let alone wear one in front of many others.

Wow, this thread seems dead. :/ Hope everyone is doing well. I weighed today in at 177.7 down from 179.2 finally.

Atarimae 01-26-2015 05:11 PM

I've actually been feeling that way about this site (3fc) in general! I know it isn't as active as before, but now I also wonder if there are other communities where people flock to. That said though, I always love the kindness and respectful opinions on 3fc...which I don't see as often elsewhere...

Anyway, hit 146.8 today! Of course, the first couple weeks back on track does that to me...then I start stalling. Oh gosh, no stalls anytime soon, please!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!

DrivenByAmbition 01-27-2015 04:56 PM

You are doing great! Won't be long now. I feel that way sometimes too. Hopefully the thread will pick up; it is January!

Atarimae 01-27-2015 11:06 PM

Aw thank you! :) You're doing great yourself! (I may or may not have seen your progress on Rie's challenge hehe!)

jessicahayes 01-28-2015 12:16 PM

I'm a little late to the game but I want to lose 20 pounds before I leave my 20s which will be in October :-)

Right now, I am 199.4 and really bummed about that.

1/27 - 199.4
1/28 - 199.4 <- Ugh, why!

Thanks! :) Challenges are great motivation. Just trying my best to not put a deadline and just keep on keeping on. I'm actually kind of hungry right now, but I'm cooking one of my favorite dinners tonight so I'm trying to hold off.

Welcome to the thread! You can do it. What is your lifestyle change?

jessicahayes 01-29-2015 08:45 AM

DrivenByAmbition,
Thanks for your encouragement! I'm really disappointed in my lack of loss the past few days.

I am counting calories (1300ish calories), cutting out alcohol and coffee, and running 4 times a week.

1/27 - 199.4
1/28 - 199.4
1/29 - 199.4 <- Maybe the scale is stuck LOL

DrivenByAmbition 01-30-2015 02:18 AM

Maybe shock your body by eating some more calories on the days you run. Not by much, start with 100. In order for me to lose when I consistently exercise, I have to eat back part of the calories I burn. Weird I know, I discovered that when I lost my weight on weight watchers.

However, I determined I couldn't commit to WW the rest of me life and gained some weight back, but not all thankfully. So now I'm just choosing to eat at home and eat smaller portions. I am also gluten free.

Oneten 01-30-2015 05:33 AM

26 pounds to goal :)

That's a good idea! I'll try that! I'm also going to try and drink more water on the days I run because I do notice a lot of swelling in my fingers when I run and the morning after.

There's also good new on the scale front!

1/27 - 199.4
1/28 - 199.4
1/29 - 199.4
1/30 - 198.6 <- Not at lot but something!

I'm really hoping that I don't sabotage myself this weekend; I usually binge on weekends so I'm going to try really hard to prevent that!

Doomkitty 01-30-2015 10:34 AM

I have been bouncing between 151.8 and 150.6 for about 2 weeks. I could cry.

DrivenByAmbition 02-06-2015 12:38 AM

Hello everyone. Hope all is doing well. I've been having a health concern and while it hasn't hurt my weight loss, I am emotionally drained. I want answers and am impatient. Prayers needed friends. Thanks.

nonameslob 02-13-2015 09:58 AM

DrivenByAmbition - Wishing you the best and I hope you get some answers soon. :(

---

As of today I can more officially post in this thread. Less than 30 pounds to go until my (initial) goal weight! Seems crazy that I've already lost over 50 pounds, and yet every pound I lose now seems to have much more of a change to my physical appearance.

It feels really good to be wrapping up my 20s in the best health of my life.

DrivenByAmbition 02-28-2015 07:38 AM

I have weighed in at exactly 175 the past 2 days. I have definitely lost momentum on my journey of the final 20, but I have not lost faith in myself, thankfully. Had some health scares which have really made me wake up and realize I need to be more aware of my health and do everything in my power to keep my weight down. 12 lbs seems so far away, but I am worth it.

That's how I feel. I turn 29 this year.

Me, too! In December. We are also really close in weight! You ARE worth it and you can keep it up. But there's also nothing wrong with taking a maintenance break if you need to.

I keep seeing this thread pop up in my subscription list and I keep forgetting I actually do have 20-something pounds left until my goal :dizzy: Close to 30 than 20, but it feels a lot more tangible than when I started that's for sure.

MrsG5 03-03-2015 11:23 AM

Hello all! I'm also joining in a little late! I read through the thread and it all looks like you've made great progress since December.

I have about 20-25 pounds to lose to my goal weight (my ultimate goal is really just a healthy BMI), as my husband and I plan to try to conceive this summer. We got married last year in August, and since then I have let me eating habits REALLY slip! I'm looking for some accountability, so I've joined the 3FC community.

I am following the IP protocol. I have lost about 5 pounds so far. I am looking forward to getting back to my Beacbody workouts and running this summer (after I get to later phases of IP)!
