Yay for a new weight 'decade', bea! That's great! :cheer2:
Ballerina- what kind of shoes did you get? I'm in the market for a new pair too! Happy early birthday, Lisa! :hat: ---- Zumba was AWESOME. My university's rec program lets you try fitness classes for free this week, so I decided to finally try it out and I LOVED it. Turns out it cost $125 for 10 classes, though.. pretty pricey (or maybe it isn't- but that's almost 2 weeks of groceries!). I kept up fitness-wise, but let me tell you.. I don't have any rhythm. No one else was that great either, so I didn't feel so bad. Happy almost Friday, everyone! |
SoMuch: Oh man, Justin Beiber? I have to be honest...I kind of like his stuff. Now I'm ashamed of myself, hahaha! And AWESOME job on skipping the fried food and molten lava cake. I can do without the fried food, but chocolate? Warm chocolate with ice cream? I give you credit!
bea: That sounds like an exhausting day. This makes me glad I'm done with school. I was a terrible student then, and I think I'd be worse now. I can't stand people that make fun of others for no real reason! Why do people have to be so judgmental?? And hair falling all over your desk? UGH. Gross. You should kick the back of her chair. Cause that was real adult of me to say, haha! Hope those two in your class get better, though. Ballerina: Thanks for the support. It's definitely easier said than done, but I'm still getting through it. Yay for new shoes. That always brightens my day! lisa: What is MFP? pinksparkles: $12.50/class isn't too bad, actually. Do you have to pay it all at once? Maybe you can pay each time you go? So, mean girl from work totally got her's today. Our graphics department ended up pretty much screwing her. She needed them to do a project for her by tomorrow, which she emailed last week and they told her today that they needed all the info or they couldn't do it (this is a repeat project for the same client that we do every year so I guess she assumed she didn't to send the info again?). Anyway, she flipped out and started crying. Drama queen. Seriously. Oh well. We call that bachi here. What goes around comes around. Needless to say, today was a better day :o) BF and I went to a hot pot place for dinner. It's usually pretty healthy with lots of veggies and some meat that boils in a broth. I had a curry flavored broth. After eating all the stuff they bring white sticky rice and use the left over broth to turn it into risotto with cheese. So yummy! But I did overeat because of it and now I feel all bloaty. Boo. Starch and I are not friends. |
:congrat: WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY!!!! :congrat: I don't know about ya'll, but this has been an absurdly long, exhausting week. beahawkins :carrot::carrot::carrot:That's awesome!!! Congrats!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot: Every ounce counts! lisa34t Eating out can be so hard. Happy early Birthday and congrats on your find! :) pinksparkles You should see if they offer a discount if you take more classes. I signed up at a "pole studio" to do a Jiggle It class (@ss clapping, shaking, popping, etc.) and if you took one it was $15/class but if you signed up for more it dropped down to like $10/class. Every bit helps! Also, groupon/living social offer TONS of Zumba deals. jmko You should see me when that stupid Boyfriend song comes on. It is game over. I know every word. Total Beiber Fever....and the things I would do and teach that now legal young man.... he's just too pretty. LOL. omg...what is wrong with me? Let's just be glad there aren't any inappropriate "smile" icon thingies... What do you do for a living? I <3 starch.... ---- Let me say it again... :congrat: WE MADE IT TO FRIDAY!!!! :congrat: Tomorrow is my bike race! Woo hoo! DH made me go out last night with him and ride. I snuck in a miserable 10 miles around St. Mtn (the d*mn ride from h*ll - there are so many effing hills/mountains.) The good part is that doing the 10 is a good reminder I'll be find tomorrow, especially since I can easily bike over 30 miles on other courses. I suppose it's just the fear of the unknown. I don't know the course we'll be riding and I have this ridiculous fear of people laughing/judging me. DH assures me he'll be the only person judging/laughing at me. Which oddly makes me feel better when he lightens my dismal perspective with humor. I upped my calories on Monday to 1800-2000 and today I weighed in 5.8lbs less. Back down to 219 and this was all while on my period. I think I'll stay on the upped calories. :D |
Friday Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im xcited about the weekend! Nothing special, just excited! :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:
Im plan to do some bulk cooking this weekend. That really played a part in my success this week. I have to do better with exercising. I’m losing at a slower pace because of it. I plan to cook Squash Small batch of rice pilaf Green bean w new potatoes Turkey meatballs and sauce Sliced Carrots Grilled Chicken breast ( cut up for quesadillas and spicy chicken warps) My main meat next week is tilapia, I bought these frozen 4oz individual packs, OMG, supper easy. I mostly do lemon pepper or just salt and pepper. I plan to exercise twice Saturday to make up for such slow week. I may not say much this weekend, as I will be responding from my phone. I really don’t see the need for home internet right now. Have GREAT weekend! :carrot::carrot::carrot: SoMuch- Thanks! jmko- its a app. That allows you to track food, calories burned, water intake, etc, I really like it because it helps me stay on plan and not consume too many calories. pink- thanks! and yes that class seems pricey....or I may just be cheap. If you enjoy it, then what the heck. I really had a hard time purchasing Turbo Fire at 120, but I really enjoy it so. |
Quiet Ballerina: That camp sounds way cool! Normally, that is exactly what I do. I fall in bed and stay up for hours doing nothing productive.. Hope your new shoes are feeling good!
pink: yeah my university wantd to charge the same amount to use their gym! its crazy. You can go to a Y and if you make crap money they charge you less. plus theyll let you in some of their $$classes for free or theyre already free! JMKO: what's really funny is today ... well there are 2 funny things... first I was walking in the hall and I recognized the hair/backpack from that girl. And was like eff, she's gonna take my seat. So I got there the same time as her and she took it. lol. But then we were having q/a time and she and her counterpart asked like 4 questions each. And for your drama queen I guess karma happens. So, they told her that they could do it, she just needed to send the info down? What's so bad about that?! They were going to have to rush their job to fit her time schedule for her error. bah!people! Fattitude: Good luck and have fun on your race!!!! I get the JBieb. I listen to him with my 4 year old bro. It's funny, he sings 1 line from the boyfriend song. OVER & OVER & OVER! And it's so catchy! Lisa: you are making me miss cooking! Living at home means 1 thing. I don't cook. I could, but that would require me purchasing enough for the 6 of us or requesting my step mom to pick it up when she goes shopping. But she doesn't plan her shopping trips. It's aggravating. lol. Good luck on your work outs this week! ------------ Ok. So I am on my 2nd/3rd date (depending on how you look at it) with this guy. He's really really really nice. But I'm just.. idk. kind of not feeling it. With the last one. I was hooked from the very first time we talked on the phone. And idk if it's because he's a townie compared to a visitor or what. It's almost like I'm not attracted to him for not having a college education and that seems really hypocritical of me. He just almost seems plain compared to the others. I feel like I should get to know him better before making a decision, but at the same time I don't want to hurt his feelings. Any opinions would be cool. or not whatever : ) Hope everyone's weekend is eventful/relaxing! **Update. I think I'll give him a try. |
SoMuch: Oh man. I don't want to know what you would do to that Beiber kid now that he's legal, haha! I do a couple things for a living...I own a wedding planning business and I work full time for a destination management company (we plan incentive trips from the time they get off the plane to when they get back on). It's just ridiculous all year long.
lisa: Sounds like a great app! I'll have to check it out! bea: I think you should give this guy at least a few more dates. Sometimes you never know. I know what you mean about him not being turned on because of no college education. It's not bad, but more importantly, you have to just click with that other person. There has to be some spark and some excitement. Don't settle just because he's really nice, but at the same time, be realistic about a relationship :) I know that was sort of vague, but I hope it helps. There's a lot more I can say and go on and on, but I don't want to bore you! Friday!!!! Only I have a wedding tomorrow and have to go to Maui on Sunday for business. Which means I don't have a day off until next week Saturday, aaah!!! Hopefully all goes smoothly tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone! |
lisa How did the stroller look? Make sure it's easy to fold and not too heavy!
pinksparkles I got the "Brooks Women's Glycerin 10 Running Shoe." They're on Amazon (I got them in pink/silver/gray). SoMuch How did the bike race go? Ohmy! Congrats on the loss!!! beahawkins sadly, the shoes aren't here yet. I had to order them cause the store didn't have the size I need. Hopefully I'll have them soon! As far as the guy, maybe just make sure he knows you want to take things slow? jmko how was the wedding? Well, I put my car into the shop just after 8 this morning. It should be finished by 4pm. Expensive is an understatement...the work is costing so much money, but it's stuff I have to get done and I want to take care of my car sooo....sigh. I'm glad I bought my shoes beforehand, or I would have hesitated to spend the money after the car bill. A little frustrating because I know I have other costs coming up too. :( Aside from that, weekend is good. Just doing some stuff around the apartment mostly. |
JMKO: I would move to Hawaii just for your job. (Not at all for the location;)) I'm seeing a spark. I think maybe it's more nerves on my part than anything. And getting over things.. And getting over the fact that he has a major (for Ohio) southern accent and uses country slang and I was raised by a grammar ****. I think it helped that I noticed he has some pretty adorable blue eyes.
Quiet Ballerina: We are definitely moving slow in comparison to the last one guy I dated. He has yet to even try to hold my hand! And I am so ok with that : ). And I wouldn't mind keeping it this slow. We are in friendship mode. It's fun. Good luck with your car. I know how it goes, but at least you want to keep your car going. I have 2 crappy cars. When one breaks down I start driving the other. As long as they continue work until I can save up for a down payment and have a good steady paycheck ((((or preferably move into the city)))) |
Those shoes look cute, Ballerina! I just bought some running socks today- I feel like an athlete ;)
SoMuchFattitude: How did your bike race go?! ---- Went for a run this morning and did SEVEN km in 42 minutes! I was going to do my normal route along the ocean (I'm spoiled) and felt tired when I got to the spot where I normally turn around to head home- but I decided to push myself to keep going. My running app kind of spoiled the surprise for me by giving me the "40 minutes elapsed.. distance 6.75 km" encouraging prompt, but I'm so excited!! Between that and the cardio/heavier weight training I did yesterday.. I'm pooped and sore. But I don't mind. ;) |
ARGH! So I was nicely sitting in my room pinning fitness inspiration onto Pinterest and figuratively patting myself on the back for being so good this week, and I hear this knock on the door. It's my landlord's daughter with a plate with TWO GIANT PIECES OF CHOCOLATE CAKE to share with my roommates and I because it's her birthday. :o
So they're sitting in the fridge now, mocking me. It's TOM this week, so my chocolate cravings are at their all-time high.. arrrrrgh. (Sidenote: It was super kind of them to share with us.. but I could do without the temptation! :stress: ) |
Weirdness: being on bc it should tell you when your TOM is coming, cause You'll be out of pills. But I guess my system isn't like that. Anyways! It gives you NO! warning. Which is really weird. I am so used to crying and worrying and freaking out over every little thing as my warning.
So the TOM cravings have kicked in and I gave in an had a little more than a cup of half calorie icecream! But it's not done It wants more and more and more and I am going to fight it and go to the gym and work out even though today was my day off! TOM WILL NOT WIN THIS FIGHT! |
hey everyone, sorry I dont have time for personals this morning, life's been crazy busy lately! But I found this video this morning, so I thought I would share- I found it inspirational, hope others do too :)

Agh, I've been away from the computer for too long, so there's lots for me to catch up on!
SoMuch ~ Hope you did well on your bike race! Also, you can keep Bieber. My little sis who's 12 and myself both don't like him very much. lisa ~ I hope the bulk cooking works out for you! That sounds like a clever idea. Do you freeze the leftovers though? Or do you eat the same thing all week? bea ~ Glad you decided to give him another shot. I can't really say I'm experienced with dating...(single for 2 years, prior to that, w/ the same guy for 4 years) but I agree with jmko, that don't settle just because he's a nice guy. I can understand where the college education may be important though. Sometimes it's best to think about the future when dating someone, in case there is a long term 'investment' seen with him. :) jmko ~ Oooh Maui! Awesome! And I hope the wedding goes well. I have a friend who's a florist and had to do some...ehm, very unorganized weddings - you guys are REALLY brave! Ballerina ~ Oh no at the expensive bill! At least it'll get fixed for sure though. pinksparkles ~ Great job on the run, but oh no at the sugary evil that's in your fridge! I'm sure it's okay to have a small piece to satisfy the craving - yay, moderation. But as long as you can control yourself, you're perfectly fine. :) Ghost ~ Holy moly that looks intense! :yikes: Ah, I feel great after this weekend. I got my aunt to look into the 'diet modification' I'm following, and she seems really enthused to pull it off herself! It's also nice to have family who supports me with this, especially when trying to at least have an alternative I can eat while at get togethers! That said, I need to get some exercise in too, so that I can say I'm doing two things right! Weigh in is tomorrow, oh boyyy! |
My phone is acting up...all is well. Scale said 210.4 this morning! Whooo hooo.
|
beahawkins but...my car isn't even old! :( it's only 4 years old. sadly, it was all just expensive maintenance stuff.
pinksparkles Thanks! I like them. Will like them even more once i can use them! you run along the ocean! ahhhh so jealous! Boooo for mocking chocolate cake. Tell you what, send them to me. :) I'll take care of them for you. hehehe Ghost Thanks for sharing that video! I'll have to finish it later. lisa congrats! Car bill was actually cheaper than the estimation. ;) Because I'm adorable? Perhaps. Also probably because of the coupons I had. Still expensive, but ah well. What can ya do? Have to keep this short because I'm getting ready to go meet a couple of girls for dinner/drinks. Hope everyone had a nice weekend! I didn't get in as much exercise that I wanted, but I'll be sure to improve that over this next week. I want my shoes to get here!!! :) |
