Agh, today was and is kind of feeling like a struggle. I'm craving something sweet! If I can hold off until after my work shift, I can make some low carb crepes! But then, a professor at the college brings us this GINORMOUS bag of candy as a "early Halloween" treat, as well as a thank you.

The first thought I had was..."I want to have a shape by Halloween, and I don't want it to be round!" :lol: It's kind of a pain that our number 1 office rule is NEVER DENY FREE FOOD.

Thanks guys I feel really welcome! This site helped me lose 50lbs back in 09. Then I got a boyfriend, and lost my job and just got WAY off track. I'm hoping this site can help me get back on it like I was.

Dragged my butt out of bed this morning to go for a run outside. SO much nicer than the treadmill, my 5K took me about 30 minutes. I woke up feeling SUPER sore from my weaksauce weight lifting I did yesterday between the treadmill and bike.. but my friend and I are going to our first zumba class tomorrow (Wednesday) night! I love to dance (though I'm not very good :lol:) so it should be fun :)

I'm a little behind in catching up with this thread and I don't have time to reply to everyone individually.

Yesterday was definitely a manic monday. Work was so busy! Weekends are always ridiculous because all of our vendors work weekends, we don't, so of course there's always a slew of emails on Monday morning. It takes all day to sort through them, return calls, not to mention work on our regular files. After work the bf and I were running errands and ended up getting rear-ended. Ugh. It wasn't my car, it was the bf's. But that car is his baby. Sometimes, I swear he loves it more than me. We're both okay, but the car isn't. Is it terrible I secretly giggled on the inside? Anyway, after that we stopped at KFC. Talk about emotional eating :o( Luckily, today was better. Nothing really eventful, which I guess is better than terrible.

lisa34t Yes, it was a whopping 62 degrees here this morning. LOL. I am forcing Fall, especially since the high will be nearly 85 today. We are suppose to see one day where the high is only in the 70s. Does LA ever get cold? I use the "lose it" app. There is also "my daily burn" which is a pretty good logging app for the iPhone.

Quiet Ballerina Yes, I already feel better upping my calories. I'm not hungry all day. LOL. The Fall/Winter is such a mean reality check when you can't wear dresses and have seams and buttons. haha! At least you found a reason to hit the gym again. :)

Atarimae I'm so luck that I don't normally crave sweets. I crave cheese...and all of it in the world.

pinksparkles I am so excited about running outside again. I hate running, but find it at least tolerable when it's cool outside.

Ugh , my tom is making me SO tired and cranky. I was suppose to have trained both Monday and yesterday and instead I laid on the couch like a bum. A tired, lazy, snuggled in, sleepy bum. Bad news bears, especially since I have a bike race this Saturday. DH, the cyclist, has told me we are biking on Thursday no matter what so I don't hate my life or him during my first organized bike race. So, I'll get two workouts in this week: one on Thursday and then the race. :lol: Better than none and once my stupid tom is over I'll have energy and get back into the swing of it.

I will say though, I feel better eating 1800'ish calories a day. A LOT better.

I'm going to drink my coffee, listen to my cheesy Michael Buble Pandora Station (it's usually dirty south hip-hop/rap, but when tom is visiting - he really likes Michael Buble) and pray that no one bothers me today. :coffee:

SoMuch Glad to see the higher calories are working out for you! TOM is the worst....

I was proud of myself last night. Went on the treadmill to run from zombies :lol: and said to myself "just go for at least 15 minutes. You can do 15." and then I pushed myself to 18...20...22...25...30! Then I did a cool down so I went about 2.20 miles in 35 minutes. And I picked up all sorts of supplies for my camp. ;) Felt so good to work up a sweat and push myself after being stuck at my desk for 2 hours because of class. I even took a picture of the flower on my FitBit because it was TALL!

The zombie/supplies reference is from the "zombies, run" app.

Going to try and go longer tonight. Need to remember a sweat towel; my apartment gym doesn't have them and last night they were out of the disinfectant towels to wipe down the machines. yuck. Maybe I'll bring one or two of those too....

Ok I haven’t worked out since Sunday and probably won’t get a chance today but, I am eating good. I made turkey meatballs and whole wheat nodules. LOVED the meatballs hated the noodles. I will just use the regular next time, but my meal was still low in calories. Still on the hunt for me a jogging stroller. Somuch- Cold, whats that? LOL, but its gets cold when it wants to. We get cold fronts/ice/snow sparingly. When I say cold, I mean the cold that actually last all day, not just in the morning and evening.

AKT- If ya did it once, you can surely do it again!

Atarimae- The office is a struggle for me as well, there is a vending machine right outside our door. GEEEsh, I have to pass it to go to the restroom!

pinksparkles ~ Wow, greaaat job on the 30 min 5k! Always wanted to try C25k, but am not much of a runner. Also, this is the recipe off of ibreatheimhungry.com. (Didn't get to try it last night though. :()

2 oz cream cheese
2 eggs
1 packet stevia (or any) sweetener
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

^ Blend until smooth, put 1/4 batter in a frying pan and cook like a pancake.

Ballerina ~ Wow, that's awesome! Great job on pushing yourself. The machines sound a little icky though, with the no disinfectant towels..:lol:

So unfortunately, I ate some food that was out a bit too long and...ended up with stomach pain the rest of the night. I woke up at 9-ish to eat some oatmeal for dinner...which is off plan for me, but I wanted to make sure my tummy could hold it in.

Worked out fine though! Today I was down 1.5 lbs, but I think it's just because I couldn't eat much. :( Which is a no good in my books. At least I feel better today! Hopefully I can eat and have a light workout. :)

Atarimae Fortunately, most of the people in my apartment complex are lazy so the machines aren't used that much. :lol: But just in case, I brought disinfectant wipes with me tonight so I could wipe down the machines before/after use.
Hope you start feeling better soon. :( tummy troubles are no fun.

Worked out again tonight, but I took it easy because my ankle feels funny; I think it's because of the shoes I was wearing today. Still went for 30 minutes to work out, but mostly speed walked. Going to get some proper running shoes tomorrow morning.

Ohh I can not believe this day has finally come to an end.
Wednesdays are my ridiculously long days. Leave the house by 920am get home about 930pm. I am just about gone. I didn't get to work out today because I had to work on make up work. Which I also did for 14 hours yesterday! So, 2 days no exercise all work. So, tomorrow I am doing a little bit of work and then doing some make up workouts. Which I know I shouldn't do because I ALWAYS feel bad after but I've been at a stagnant the last few days and I'm not ok with that. I'm also thinking I am starting TOM but I really don't know. I used to have an app on my ipod to keep track but I let my mom borrow it and felt weird if she would see something I didn't intend for her to see so I deleted it. erg! Plus starting BC last month I'm not sure what is a REAL tom and what is breakthrough bleeding... I even freaked out because of last week's stomach issue and bleeding so took a test. (thank the high heavens because the only option would be that the dingdong ahole would have been the father.)

So now I am spending some quality time with the Doctor while doing some homework so I can have most of tomorrow off! It will be wonderful to sleep tonight. hope everyone's week is great!

I will never understand why some people are so rude. My coworkers are so critical. The worst part is, it's never really anything work related - it's usually just something stupid like font choice. They try to talk quietly on the other side of our cubicles, too, but the office is so quiet you can hear everything. UGH. Things like that are so childish and it drives me crazy. I'm really hoping tomorrow will be a better day :o)

Quiet Ballerina Ok, so is this zombie run thing in actual prep for one of the zombie run 5ks or just a fun motivating app? A friend of my bff did one of the races where "zombies" chase you. It freaks the sh*t out of me. Omg - just horrifying. I would end up getting DQ'd for punching someone in the face.

lisa34t I hate whole wheat noodles too. They taste so weird and the texture is all wrong. Ronzini (I think it's Ronzini) has a "veggie" pasta out that has a whole serving of veggies in it. It's green, orange, white, etc. That one is pretty good and makes me feel less guilty.

beahawkins I am such an old lady. There is no way I could keep those hours. I track my period on my iPhone. At first I thought it was crazy and cheesy, now I live by that thing. Esp planning vacations...

Tom should be getting the f*ck out soon. Praise god! Regardless, since I've upped my calories I have been losing while Tom is invading my uterus, which is pretty incredible.

I went to Longhorn Steakhouse with my In-laws last night. Wow - what a mind f*ck it was for me. I went with a total plan in place of what to order. I'm STARVING when we arrive. There are talks of appetizers, fried delicious appetizers and tom is screaming at me for trying to justify not wanting any. I calm Tom with a glass of wine instead of the fried shrimp and fried onions everyone else is eating. I stick to my original plan of a side salad, salmon, rice and veggies. Successful meal and then my grandparents order a molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream and Tom is demanding I eat it all. In fact, he'd like me to eat every single molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream in the entire restaurant. Tom is an as*hole. I politely pass on the heavenly, rich molten lava chocolate cake with ice cream and give Tom a nice "f*ck you" in my head. Yesterday was a success.

Tom and I have a feeder/eater relationship and I'm trying stop enabling his sick fetish. I can't do it anymore.

JMKO: lol I have 4 classes on wednesdays. 3 from 10am to 1pm. And then a 5 break and 3 hour astronomy class. The class is only on Weds so it takes for ever. And normally during my break I workout but I was so behind from missing last weeks classes that I had to stay behind for help in all my classes/go to office hours. That break in my day helps break it up and feel less like 12 hours. It leaves me exhausted the next day. that is for sure.
-about the rudeness. It is ridiculous! font choice? wow. In my algebra class there's a girl and a guy who don't know eachother out of class and anytime someone asks a questions they snicker. And I sit in their area so I am probably the only one that can hear it but yesterday I was so tempted to just lay it out for them. We all are in the same class. They both worked their way into the class, just like everyone else and erh! I can never finish my tellings off! Besides she stole my desk yesterday so I'm extra erked at her. I'm a front sitter because A.D.D kicks in. And I had to watch the loose hair fall onto my desk. Which is gross and distracting. Lol. Sorry for the rant! haha rude people are just so childish.

Fattitude: I wouldn't keep these hours if I could get away with it. I know once I finish school my sleep system will be in shock. Those apps are a life saver! I just wish I had written down my info before deleting the app! I hate TOM. Good for you for controlling his tempations and not letting him succeeding in screwing you over!

Thursdays are my day off from everything so I of course cram it full of things to do. But most importantly it's weighing in. meds. food. workout. and then I can do whatever I want because I don't feel like doing anything else today. lol It feels like an awesome day so far! Oh my goodfreaking gosh!!!!! I weighed in at less than 240 today... to be exact 239.9 . but I'm not picky!

jmko Try not to let your co-workers negative energy get to you. :( I know that's easier said than done...

SoMuch I would love to do one of those zombie run things! I also want to do a tough mudder!! But not until I can actually run a 5k really well.
In April, my area has 5k runs every Friday. I'm thinking that might be a goal of mine....I'd really like to do at least one of those 5ks.
I am in awe of your will power at that restaurant. There is no way I would have been able to pass on all that goodness. Would have needed to at least sample things. I drove past Olive Garden today and my mouth started watering for the breadsticks...mmm....

This week is zooming by, which is very nice! My days are all mixed up. :dizzy:
Bought new running shoes this morning! I knew I had to; my old shoes are almost certainly the problem for my hurting ankle. I was limping around my apartment last night, and of course I couldn't find the brace I bought....sigh.
They're cute. More expensive than I would have liked...but I'd rather invest in good shoes than have my ankle hurting.

Also, made an appointment for my car. It will be going into the shop this weekend and getting everything fixed.

First , ladies I do know how to spell noodles, I went back and read my post and was like wth is noodules? LOL
Well I didn’t exercise again yesterday, but I stayed on track. Didn’t got to TGIF either can’t say I was disappointed because I’m sure I would have blown my whole day. Plus my b-day is on Tuesday and I plan to enjoy myself then :) I logged all my food in MFP, was under goal :) . Oh by the way my MFP name is the same as here; be my friend! I found a stroller at a local baby consignment shop, going to check it out today, its an older one but its only $20 buck so, hey!

Quiet- Yes , the week has flew by, but I won’t complain!

SoMuch- I will have to check that brand out, but I KNOW whole wheat is no longer an option. The whole paragraph about Longhorn’s cracked me up! Good for you!

- mine is really easy, ground turkey, Italian bread crumbs, finely chopped bell pepper and onion. All of my fav seasonings ( garlic powder, seasoning salt, black pepper, dash of chili powder) mix and shape, and bake at 350.

beahawkins- yup that’s the one I use. I love it. I never really gave lose it a try....
