I saw a mini goal thread in another forum and I thought I'd steal their idea and put one in 20 somethings.
What are your mini goals?
I have a lot of mini goals. I decided to do something nice for myself after around every 7-10 pounds lost.
I'm getting closer to the 150s (YAY!), so I decided once I hit 154, I'm going to get myself a new cute pair of glasses (I wear contacts most of the time) and right after that appointment I'm going straight to the nail salon and getting my finger nails tipped.
I haven't really given myself any rewards for my mini goals but I probably should. Mine are really basic, just get to onderland etc. You can see them in my siggy. You got me thinking now.
I want to see 170 by my birthday...I don't think I've been that low since high school, so that would be a huge plus. I have 160 down as my current goal weight for a few challenges and would dearly like to hit that as soon as possible. I think that if...no...WHEN I hit 160, I'm going to find a pretty corset online. I may hold off until I get under 155 though, since that would put me in a normal weight range...that's far enough away that I should have adequate time to put together enough cash-money for something good quality and steampunk-y
I have set out some mini goals for myself. I suppose that way I don't have to think I want to lose 30lbs, I want to lose 10lbs and from there it's 5lbs and then 8lbs. It doesn't feel as much with mini goals. I don't have any rewards set for each of the mini goals once achieved. Just a big shopping spree for when I reach my goal.
My mini goals are:
Mini Goal #1: 132lbs - 10lbs Lost
Mini Goal #2: 127lbs - Normal Weight (BMI)
Mini Goal #3: 119lbs – Original Goal

I want to have a healthy BMI so bad I can taste it. I'm not supposed to go over 143 and I got as low as 146 before the Fourth but I blew it. Now I'm hovering around 150 even with working out. =/
I know BMI doesn't really mean much overall but I just want to be able to say, "My BMI isn't calling me fat anymore..."
My mini goals are all in my sig. First one was to get to Onederland, then 185, then an "overweight" BMI (which I've technically already hit, but I'm still 1lb above what my goal says)... Then 151, which is right in the middle of the "overweight" category, then 139 which is a "normal" bmi... 128 is my goal, but if I'm happy before then then I'll stop. I have some non-scale goals as well, like to be able to run a mile, to be able to lift X amount of weight, etc.
I can't list all of mine because I try to have lots o little ones. But, here are a few
- get to onederland before school starts Sept 6th
- be able to wear my 32 jeans to Vegas in 4 weeks
- fit into a skimpy orange number by new year's
- be able to wear my designer monokini by next summer's vaycay
- goal weight by my wedding
I've got a small list of mini goals but I try to focus on just one at a time and right now that's getting to 160 lb a) It means I've lost 20 lb b) It means I will weigh less than my husband and c) It'll put my BMI in the overweight instead of obese range
I really want to be back in the 170s by my birthday. I have a month and a half. I won't be all broken up about it if I don't get there, but it would be nice.
The other day I hit my first mini-goal: 5% of original body weight gone. I rewarded myself with a pedicure and a brow wax, both of which were needed. I also used some of my amazon points to buy a kettle bell and an exercise mat. My next mini-goal is 10% lost. Haven't decided on a reward for that one yet!
