Hey y'all!

@Jessica - Best of Luck! Once you quit for 3 weeks, you will feel so much better! Keep up the good work!

@mammasita and ade903 - Well, when your first buy the starter pack it comes with 4 weeks of pills. This 4 weeks costs $175 (or it did for me) and day 6 on the pills was the last day I smoked. Most of what I have read recommends you take the pills for between 4 weeks and 12 weeks. I refuse to spend another $175 for the pills, so I adjusted my intake to get the most out of the pack. Today is day 2 of NO pills, and I'm still going strong.

I feel so much better! I'm breathing better, I am able to walk on my treadmill longer and faster. It used to take me an hour to go 3 miles on the treadmill. Now I go 2 miles in less than 30 minutes. After 2 miles, I am "glistening" but not at all winded. Now, I know this is still slow, but I'm getting better everyday.

I still recommend this to anyone who wants to quit smoking and hasn't been successful on other attempts, but only if you get the ok from you doctor. As I have mentioned before, there are side affects. I only experienced abnormal dreams, but a lot of people who suffer from depression are affected differently.

I wish I wrote down the last day I quit, I will have to do the math, but I am thrilled with the difference I'm seeing between now and 3-4 weeks ago. Good luck everyone who wants to quit!

Hi All,

So, I wanted to add another update. We had the family here for Easter. All of them are smokers. I didn't have or crave one cigarette with everyone smoking around me. My hubby didn't either. We are so proud of ourselves and we even got them thinking about quitting too. I hope they do, there is no better feeling.

So, I figured out that the last day I had a cigarette was March 15th. So I'm cig free since March 16th! We are coming up to a month now, pretty quickly. I'm off of Chantix now and the cravings to smoke are still gone.

Just wanted to update to keep the thread going. Thanks for reading and I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter break. It was a gorgeous day in Houston for Easter and we had 9 kids hunting for almost 400 eggs in our front yard. We had so much fun! But I gained 2 pounds after it was all said and done.

Now back up to 215 and trying to get back on track. Have to change my mini goal now that Easter has passed. And still have to go shopping for a bathing suit. Eww.

Hi all! I was on Chantix for two weeks. I have stopped smoking for five days! I have gained 7 lbs. I am not eating anymore than I would have and working out four times a week. I have read about people gaining crazy amounts of weight. My question is does Chantix make some of you gain weight? Since I stopped taking Chantix how long will it take me for the weigh to come off? Please help. I also have been having really bad dreams and very depressed. I am really happy that I don't smoke anymore. thanks
