Question Apple Cider Vinegar

Hi everyone!

I wanted to ask if anyone else uses Apple Cider Vinegar for their weight loss. I have read all of the wonderful benefits of drinking this little miracle with water and my husband and I have been doing it for about 2 weeks. We drink it before every meal. It helps curb our appetites and is a great detox. You can see the list of what it helps (from acne to yeast infections) at

http://www.apple-cider-vinegar-benefits.com/

If you do drink it, what do you drink it with? I drink it with a little Low Sodium V8 because i can't stand the taste of it in water. I am not sure if I still get all of the benefits, but I can't imagine V8 would change it too much.

Like I said, we've been taking it for 2 weeks and I haven't noticed a bit of difference in my weight loss. I am still fluctuating like crazy! But, at the same time, I'm taking Chantix to quit smoking... day 3 of this. So, I know without smoking I will naturally gain a little weight.

Interesting! I hadn't heard of apple cider vinegar being used for weight loss but I LOVE using it as a toner for my face. I'll have to try drinking it next time I have the munchies

I've read quite a bit about it, never really tried it. I did do a "search" on 3fc and there are a few threads on it you could check out. If you stick with it, give us a report on how you make out.

I would love to know.
Good luck.

I always hear about it being really great too.. I need to get a good brand though because I bought some before and it tasted terrible.

Good luck with the non smoking too, you can do it! I quit this time last year and didn't realise how much weight I put on because of it.. so if you're aware of it now that's great.

A lady at work had started drinking it and she didn't change anything she ate and she said she lost 4 pounds.

I'm so glad to hear about this on the site. One of my friends is using this as part of her diet, and she swears by it. I'm tempted to try it but the word DETOX scares me a bit...let us know how it works our for you.

I don't know. Sounds like hooey to me.

If apple cider vinegar worked that way, wouldn't we all be skinny ladies drinking apple cider vinegar before every meal?

Well, I know if I take the V8 with the ACV before I eat, I tend to eat about half to 3/4 of what I put on my plate, and I am usually pretty careful about what goes on it, so I don't overeat. I'm sure that has to do more with the "fillingness" of the V8 and less with the ACV, but it's definitely making a difference. I feel full faster.

My husband has lost about 15 pounds. He does the V8 with ACV as well. He recently found out that he has gout and high cholesterol, so naturally the whole family has been eating much better. No red meat, at all. A lot more fish and veggies. Some chicken. But I've noticed that even with these changes, I'm still hovering above where I want to be.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has had success with this, or if I'm wasting my time. Thanks so much for the responses. Hopefully once I'm cigarette free for a while, I will start to lose more.
